Love this little Irish Pub! Always friendly and great food. Our server, Jenine, was especially lovely. If you're looking for a genuine Irish Pub, this is it!
Wow, new fav pub in GTA although it's a bit far for me being in Newcastle when I live I Dundas! Had amazing bean and bacon soup followed by 2lbs of wings for the price of 1 on a Thursday. But check out the pics of the inside of the bar. I love it. Owner told me they have live Celtic music on Fri and Sat night so I'll be back.
John, the owner and host, has assembled an amazing team of very personable and attentive staff. They have created a great atmosphere for just a pint with friends or a meal out with family.
We drove all the way from Oshawa to eat dinner here as we’ve been here before and loved the food. When we entered the restaurant at 7 pm and asked for a table for 3, we were simply told that there are no tables available. No mention of waiting for tables to be available, nothing, just straight up NO! Guess we’re never going back!
Here's a little bit of Ireland in this restaurant. We've been going there for years for lunch and always have had delicious meals. John and his staff are friendly and efficient in this Cosy atmosphere. Just found out on Friday night (there for dinner) that they have live Celtic music. We'll be back!
Best little Irish Pub EVER OUR server Sharuka was outstanding, food was excellent but the BEST was the live music of two Irish lads playing guitar and singing all Irish songs from across the pond Dec 9,2023
Atmosphere was incredible. Such a great Irish pub that I'll absolutely be visiting on St Paddys day.
That said, the food was mediocre at best. Our party ordered the bangers and mash (Best - great flavour), Fish and chips (Okay - dry), One of the burgers (below average - overcooked), and chicken sandwich (bad - dry and little sauce).
Overall I feel that this place is a very traditional Irish pub and they will excel in the Irish dishes, but the other items on the menu are to have a little something for everyone such but doesn't excel in many areas.
A real pub, casual, cosy, food and drinks. Food is always excellent, mix of Irish and Canadian, wings are always great, also great burgers, mixed grills, curry, very good selection. Good service, reasonable prices. What more could you want in a pub
First time there. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. We are from Ottawa visiting family in Newcastle and would definitely come back. The salmon salad bowl was spectacular. Compliments to the chef.
Absolutely love this place! The service is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is consistently delicious comfort food. Prices match the quality perfectly, giving a great sense of value. They're experts at understanding what customers want, whether it's a friendly chat or some solitude. The Irish-themed decor with paintings of artists and writers adds a nostalgic touch, creating an authentic pub atmosphere. The owner's kindness shines through in how they treat patrons and staff. Wish we lived closer to visit more often. Highly recommend for top-notch hospitality at affordable prices. Conveniently located on Main Street in Newcastle, just a short drive from highway 401 – definitely worth a visit!
Love this place! Everything on the menu is made in-house and is delicious. The atmosphere is really unique and enjoyable and the servers are all really friendly as well. This place is on my roster of locations resturants that I visit fairly regularly
7 of us ladies took a stretch limo from Cobourg to the Snug to celebrate Sue's 60th birthday. The food was more than plentiful and delicious. Sue was served a free slice of birthday cake with a lit candle. My spicy caesar was just right! We all enjoyed the atmosphere and checking out the memorabilia on the walls. This was one of several visits for me. Well worth going back
