Wasaga Beach Provincial Park - Beach Area 5

Beach 5 is perfect for families with a park close by. Lots of shade and picnics tables as well as well-maintained washrooms. There is also a pump track bike park close by. (Follow the path along the beach, with a short ride on the residential road to the bike park and playground by the YMCA.)

Water was extremely shallow for a while before you get at least waist length. The washrooms were disgusting, but the space by the beach was nice and clean.

Water shore looked like dirty water. Not clear at all. The washrooms were absolutely horrible! So disgusting. Looks like the floors were never cleaned. The stalls were all gross! No one cleans there?

Its a nice beach with lots if picnic space and shore frontage. Only negative is the washrooms its not maintained so disgusting and broken.

Very clean park with enough parking spots and picnic tables. It does get very crowded on the weekends. Water is not so clean.

Waited for parking for around 20 mts. Water was not so cold and had loads of fun with family! Sunset was beautiful! Would Love to go again.

We went to Wasage beach after 5 years. Beach is crowded as expected but you can always find a spot in the beach. Better to be early as 9 am to find best spots and table. After 11 AM it will be really crowded on weekends. Wasaga beach 5 water is not good as Wasaga beach 1&2. But Wasaga beach 5 is full of trees and parking is close to the water. Washrooms are not cleaned often, so it's really messy as day progress. Only reason for 4 star is Washrooms. Parking is 21$ as of July 30th 3022. There is a LCBO and Pizza Hut closeby. Overall great place for a day trip with family.

The beach is amazing. Unfortunately, during our last visit we were disappointed. The toilets area was dirty and smelly. Nobody clean it from previous day. There were also lack of toilet tissue.

Always an awesome day at Wasaga Beach. We choose beach 5 because it's less cluttered and very clean. It's right by the restrooms and you can have a picnic near.

We were here on Saturday around noon time. Multiple roads leading to the beach were closed due to some work or due to local entry only. But finally found a long route to reach there. Since we were early it was easy to get parking (have some cash for payment).

The shoreline is all black sand but if you go further down to the beach/lake it is really nice. Some areas in the lake have foul water smell with sticky algae you can feel but some are very nice and sandy.

Wasaga Beach area 5 is my favourite! It is never too crowded and it is so beautiful! There is a bit of dirt farther down in the water right now but in this area it is amazing! Sunsets are so worth it.

Parking is expensive, but the beach is very clean. Facilities are not messy and well maintained

The beach has changed over the years but it was still great to visit with my little one. Her first time there.

I would say this is probably the best of the beaches for family outings or to bring your kids. I would describe this as the most kid friendly beach of them all. This beach has a large park/jungle gym are sporting alot of cool equipment including an underground tunnel.

Awesome beach, water is shallow which allows you to go some distance wading in water. There are no lifeguards at the beach.

Loved this beautiful beach. Clear water and clean beach area. Not much deep water. Parking is $21. Opens 8am- 10pm. Washrooms okay, but no change rooms. BBQ is allowed. Kids enjoyed a lot. Better go early to get parking space and nice spots. Lot of benches and tree shades.

Great area for family, lots of picnic tables, you can bbq with portable bbqs charcoal or propane, shallow water for kids the further you go in the deeper it get, playgrounds children, and washroom near by

Had the best time today! The water was the right temperature- the weather was perfect. It was busy but still managed to grab tables to setup our area for bbq! Definitely recommend visiting Wasaga Beach.

It was a great weekend at the beach. Wonderful place. Water is clear and kids can play without much worry. The water is not too deep. The beach is clean.

Clean and beautiful beach. The best time to get there over the weekend and find a good spot is before 11: 00 am. Bathrooms were nasty. Paid $21 for the full day parking. BBQ experience was good

The beach was not too packed, we were able to find a location within a fair distance from others. Water was clean and the sun was shining.

Went on the weekend (Saturday) early at 9.30am expecting it to be crowded (based on the other reviews). However, parking was easily available.the place got crowded by noon, but still there were parking available.nice ambience.compared to beach 1 / beach 2, this had picnic spots for family and play area's for kids.no shower rooms were available, only washrooms/toilets (I believe this is same in other beaches too).

Excellent place to enjoy a day with family and friends. There are benches, bathrooms and enough espace to install your tent.

Beautiful climate Beautiful Sunday Beautiful place Beautiful memories. It's not crowded. Has enough shades for sitting. Please carry own food water. Having own small tent and chairs is recommended. Very clean. Will go again soon. Thanks to the staff and authorities.

Area 5 is the least crowded of all areas. Would definitely recommend to go there for iys shallow comparatively warm waters

Coming as I do from days gone by when you could drive on the sand seemingly for miles The beach is becoming more and more inaccessible and expensive Since the town Council is Promoting Condos instead of Beach access and amenities and the owners near here might have fenced it off if it were not a provincial Park Once you get to sand and surf it is a fine way to spend with your family and friends

Excellent place for the kids. Plenty of parking and ample picnic space. The beach is very beautiful!

Small unoppossing beach site. There's washrooms and picnic areas. Not too busy when I went on a Monday.

Wonderfully to spend the day aw Wasaga Beach.grew up going there. It was on my bucket list to go back when I went home to visit family

Favourite beach to hit at least once every summer. Great option for families, there are playgrounds as well as the water to play in. It's very very shallow but watch out for some uneven terrain underwater. Very sandy and depending on weather and what month you go, you might find most of the beach under water! But there are still green areas where you can BBQ/picnic and hang out. The farther beaches (5 or6) are wonderful if you are looking for fewer crowds. Parking is $20 and there's lots of it.

Good beach at Beach 1,2 & 3.great for small kids. Lots of picnic tables.great bike trail. Amazing sunsets.

Nice quiet area for picnic. This area doesn't have the clearest path into the bay but it doesn't take away your experience of enjoying the water either. Their's no sandy area if that's what you're looking for. It's all grass and a small hill that brings into the water. At least you won't be surrounded by so many people and shady areas is a definite yes.

We were riding ️and stopped to see the beach. We had heard the water was high and it was, to the point where there was no beach. People in the park told us that it was worse at Beach 1 where the waves were up over the sidewalk in front of the stores

There wasn't much beach left. The high water level took care of that. Parking cost was a bit high. Facilities could be improved.

We live close to it, convenient, good facilities, but needs electric hook ups for overnite campers, could be better for rv'ers.

Limited parking, minimal beach space for the family. I recommend beach 1,2 and 3 if you get there early and find parking

Largest fresh water lake l, clean and with little ones you can easily enter and can walk quite far into the water.

Love this place. Good atmosphere.
But washrooms are bit dirty and water is Very slow that's y it's hard to do clean up sand quickly.otherwise good.

Can't wait for the beach to come back. Still the most beautiful fresh water beach in the world.

The beach has risen alot there is no sandy beach anymore the water is all the way to grass.water is warm but very dirty with wood debris chips and seaweed due to waves.

Great family spot away from the typical wasaga crowds at the main beach. Highly recommend going early and setting up your area. The beach is about a 1min walk from the parking area. It's a national park so you'll have to pay approx. 20 for the day. Lots of park benches that you can move into your own sites.

Shallow water for the kids but lots of tree bark in the water. Maybe Ministry of parks can clean it up?

As always Wasaga beach is a good place for getting together, weather it's friends or friends and family. Area 5 has lots more parking than area 6. Too bad there's no beach because of the rising lake water.

No sand this year due to high water levels but still a lot of people swimming, water was nice and warm.

Honestly super disappointed I know there is nothing you can do about mother nature. But to charge 22$ just to park near the beach which unfortunately isnt there is sad.
We will definitely be keeping to our other spots where there is at least some sand and you dont have to pay so much.

Sad the beach is getting smaller year after year.went on a Monday and it was not busy at all! Love coming here
