Nice long beach, clean in general depending on how many visitors. Off season, one can have nice long walks or bring a chair to enjoy a sunbathing session (depending on the weather). The water is clean, good for swimming during the hot summer months or for jetski. Lots of big groups during weekends can make the place crowded and less enjoyable, best to visit during the week days.

Probably the nicest of the several (numbered) sectors of Wasaga Beach, if you're old and like a bit of peace and serenity.

My fav beach to drive to. Usually a lot of waves and the food around there is really good. Check weather before going though

Absolutely the best memories of Wassaga. I grew up going here every summer as a kid. It's been a few years since I have been back because of covid but it was a great weekend!

This year there is actually a beach vs ~2019 the water level was so high there was no sand. We prefer beach ️5 or 6 as it is a lot quieter and less rowdy then beach 1. Lots of families, building sand castles and swimming with their floaties or paddle boads or boogie boards etc.

The sand is white and hot and if you're lucky you can find some small shells. The water is amazing! It was like a bath it was so warm! And wassaga is special for their water / beach. As you walk out into the deep water you will come across some sand dunes. So it gets deeper and deeper until it's shallow and then keep walking deeper and it's shallow again. It's my favorite beach ️. I will be returning for sure!

Lots of parking, close to the beach, washrooms are ok, and it's about 18$ to park for the day.

If you are planning on coming to Wasaga Beach, I would highly recommend coming to Beach 6. Beach 1 has tons of stores/bars and tons of people ready to party if that's your thing. Beach 6 is the complete opposite, and while it can sometimes get busy (especially near the parking lot) it is far quieter and more family friendly. The best time to visit is around 8pm to catch the amazing sunset and view. The busiest time is around 3pm (hottest time of day), so try to avoid coming at this time. It really is a toss of the dice when it comes to weather and water restlessness, so expect anything. The beach is usually very clean and clear of seaweed/gunk on shore. The sand is super soft and the lake bottom is very easy to walk on and very shallow for a long time from the shore. There are no shops on the waterfront (nearest ones are 3min drive away) but there are some slightly sketchy washrooms that have some spiders and have not been cleaned very well. DO NOT use the parking lot provided, it is constantly full up and has a expensive flat price ($20) regardless of the time parked there. Instead park behind the Shoppers/LCBO/Tim Hortons and walk 10mins to the beach. All in all, a fantastic beach that I highly recommend to anyone!

Gorgeous, chill-out spot in early September. Not too many people so you can enjoy a bit of sun with a view.

One of my favorite areas in Wasaga, the sand is super soft and there aren't many rocks in the water. There is a large bathroom and parking is limited.

I took the kids yesterday and loved the No Charge weekday access and parking!

The beach was super clean, the water really warm, and no crowds.

The washrooms were very clean and fresh as well.

Perfect day trip!

This is just an amazing beach. Not too crowded. Parking is very close to the beach so you don't have to walk for too long if you arrive early. Trees close to the beach so you can have some natural shade is the morning.

Best place for kiteboarding!
People who don’t kiteboard, please beware: swimming close to kiteboard launch area can be very dangerous as the kite lines are 25 meter long, and can cut your head off by mistake if someone looses control and it’s a wind gust (accidents happen). Please don’t let your children swim in the launching area. Unless you want to dispose of a child.

Nice beach that doesn't get too crowded if you move to the edges. Often "full" (No new admissions) by lunch time.

Lack of near by facilities, no shops/restaurants so bring snacks with you.

Wasaga beach access 6:
Très bel endroit très propre avec un stationnement vaste qui permet et si on arrive assez tôt et d’être stationné tout prêt de la plage avec notre VR et notre chien c’est aussi un spot de Kite où on peut démarrer une voile et faire du très beau kite-surf

The best beach in Ontario! Especially for city folks who can't usually swim in the lakes near them.beautiful water you can go out a good ways before the water goes over your head

Can't make it to Cuba? Dominican Republic too far? You miss Mexico but can't go? Wasaga Beach's Area 6 is there for you. A small slice of southern paradise right here in the Great North. Beautiful sandy beaches, with crystal clear turquoise waters with just the right amount of waves to make believe you left the country. Without the hassle of passports.

Oh, and the water is a lot warmer than anything on the Atlantic.

Note: there are other areas as well, such as downtown's Area 1 for a little north of the border "Old Orchard"-like experience. But just want to go and relax, have your toes in the sand, while you listen to the gentle lapping of waves? This is the spot for you.
