WashDay Laundry Centre

I come here every once and a while will wash clothes in the area due to my child training near by and last night I was reminded why I don't come here, sorry to say but this place is a scam, prices for washing are comparable but the machines don't effectively remove the water, I have never been to a laundromat where my clothes comes out of the washer so wet. I usually don't dry my kids tracksuits, jeans etc so I take them home and hang them up like I always do and these clothes were soaked not dripping but significantly wet. So here is where the scam comes you pay $2.25 to dry the clothes and you only get 18 minutes, I have never seen this most places you pay according to the amount of time you need and if you need more time you add money here you can't do that if your clothes are not dry it's an additional $2.25 and if those washers are not spinning effectively you will be spending no less then $4.50 which is a lot just to dry. Lesson learned I will not go back I got up this morning and the clothes I hung to dry feel damp like when I take them out of an average washing machine, machines gotta be tweaked!

Nice and clean atmosphere, there's a few broken machines, but to be expected.
There's only 1 draw to this place. The doors auto-lock at 10pm to prevent people from showing up last minute to do laundry and exceeding the business hours. However, around 11pm the dryers had stopped and I began folding laundry, when I removed from 1 machine my clothes were still wet. I didn't have enough $ on me to run another dry cycle, and my wallet was in my truck. But I was told if I left to go to my truck I wouldn't be allowed to return to get my laundry. Honestly this is a b.s. Practice, there's an attendant on site, who could easily controll the access for someone getting something from a vehicle.

Used the wash and fold service for 2 large blankets; they did an excellent job and my items were ready in just a few hours. Totally worth the money.

Was in the area and decided to pop in this laundromat to check it out. Very clean and professional looking inside. Saw a sign for same day wash, clean and fold service which I thought was neat.

Worst laundromat i've ever been to. I was verbally attacked by the owner after their coin machine took the majority of my change.

I went to get change for my laundry and the change machine took the majority of my money. No big deal. I just called the number on the building to call for some help. The man who answered chose to cuss me out and refuse to Repay what the machine had taken from me. I'm not talking about laundromat coins. The machine literally went out of order as my money was coming out and the majority was not returned to me. He refused to take my name and number and told me to go f myself. The place smells mouldy as all get out

This laundromat is actually very clean. The 2 Sunday’s I went wasn’t very crowded either. A large number of different size of washers available. Some marked as commercial washer with pre loaded soap which can wash 4 loads priced at 8.50.
The only problem to me was how the clothes remained wet after the wash. It’s happened for all types of washer I used. Small medium and large. In turns it takes a lot of time to dry. So you would spend more money than you should.

I was shocked walking in to this laundry Matt. I haven't been here for year but coming back from holiday and finding my machine was broken I decided to visit the laundry. I walked in and stood for a few seconds. It was BIG. Lots of choices of washers and dryers. There were machines I could fit in. Just amazing. The music was amazing in the background. Definitely a Mercedes among laundry Matt's. 5.

Been there first time on Monday night. Female staff were on duty. She is very professor, friendly and hard working. Owner is blessed to have her.

1st time using a laundromat. It was really easy to understand. And the people didn't feel sketchy at all especially in that area of Whitby.
1 con the dryer didn't dry all my clothes.

My washer broke while on spin cycle clothes were damp and I waited 2days before taking them to be laundered the attendant noticed the clothes were getting a musty odor and needed to be washed immediately to avoid damaging the clothes she was fantastic and my clothes were just fine after the promt attention taken by the attendant

My wife and I decided to try this place out because the other place we would go only had two large machines and we were often waiting for people who left their laundry and took forever to come back for it, so when we saw the abundance of machines at Wash Day we wished we had just been going there the whole time. The other place we were going to was the only laundromat we had ever gone, so there was nothing to compare it to until Wash Day. We were also mind blown by the guy there who cleans at night and what a thorough good job he does all the time - again wishing we had just gone there the whole time. It’s always clean and well maintained from emptied garbages, clean machines, vacuumed out lint compartments for the dryers, dusted surfaces including the walls - I noticed simply because he’s worked around us a couple of times and it was such a difference from the other place. Needless to say we only go there now.
The machines range from small to massive like if we’re washing all of our king sized bedding at once. The dryers are also extra large to massive and dry faster.
This place closes at 12am - last wash is at 10pm and they mean it because the doors lock. If you’ve been going to a laundromat long enough, you get it because there’s always that person that will come in a half hour before close.
Anyway, good place all around. They also have a bunch of other services that I can’t personally speak on, but check it out.

This is the only laundromat we use! It's always very clean and has a lot of machines. Only reason I gave a four star and not a five, is because of one female attendant who treated my father in law and I sort of poorly when we were here once. He accidentally overloaded a machine which made it leak and I understand it was a mess and was our fault but it was a mistake. We apologized over and over again and we both offered to clean the mess but she was very rude about it and made multiple scenes when new people would come into the facility.
