These guys really took the time to try to help me as much as they possibly could and I appreciated it

Incredibly frustrating experience. After waiting a year.they did not listen to me.kept interrupting and eventually prescribed a 1970's antidepressant for pain.the side effects would knock out an elephant.it would make a great Monty Python skit if it was not so tragic. Keep looking!

I see so many comments about the wait time and the staff, firstly I would like to say that yes, the wait time to get into the clinic is a long and difficult one, especially if you are in a lot of pain. This is to no fault of the clinic, they get so many referrals and the lack of other clinics that can help the way they help is what is ridiculous.

Secondly, I’ve had nothing but compassion, empathy and understanding from the clinic staff. They are patient and kind and do what they can. Leah Pink, has been a huge asset and is excellent at her job, contrary to what someone else said. She returns calls, she takes time to answer my questions and concerns in between appointments.

They need more staff, more nurses and that’s to no fault of the clinic.

Ten years ago I filled out the 2 inch thick application, then went to a preliminary mass meeting in a hot room with over 100 people, then to an almost retired "drug and alcohol counselor" then I waited one year to see Dr. Gordon. All he offered was Botox and wanted almost $500, every three months. The pain management dentist they have couldn't help me either, they are still using an out of date type of mouth guard for clenching.

Nothing is covered by OHIP, and you can get acupuncture and physio cheaper pretty much anywhere else.

The receptionist is about the rudest I have ever come across.

My impression of this place is that it's a long drawn out money making enterprise for the people who work there, not for people in pain.
If you don't have extended benefits, don't bother, you won't be able to afford anything they offer.

Dr. Gordon has given me my life back.
After suffering with chronic migraines and cluster headaches for over ten years I was referred to the Wasser Pain Clinic. Unfortunately the wait-list was 8 months (according to my doctor and the Wasser website) but I ended up waiting almost a year. It was worth the wait.
Upon being seen by Dr. Gordon and his team members I was put on a treatment plan of botox every 12 weeks. Approximately 5 days after my first treatment was the first time I woke up without pain, something that most people take for granted. I couldn't even remember what life was like without pain by then. Tears of joy/relief were streaming down my face.
I've been a patient of Doctor Gordon's for a couple of years now and truly believe that I would not be here if it weren't for Wasser Pain Clinic.
The only down-side to Wasser is that it is very hard to get a hold of anyone if you need to make/change an appointment. Phone calls are rarely answered and when you leave a message your call is almost never returned. That said, I realize it is a very busy clinic and that they likely receive hundreds of calls/day. Maybe hire more help?

I was referred to Wasser by hotel dieu in Ottawa last February The doctor at Hotel Dieu dutifully completed the referral forms and we waited. In May we enquired from Wasser how we stood. Incidentally we were dealt with by a very rude receptionist and told that our referral was not complete. As well as the forms submitted by Hotel Dieu forms should have been completed by us. THis delayed our referral by seven months. THe fault was with the admin staff at Hotel Dieu. Beware! This is definitely not funny when one is dealing with continuous, severe chronic pain.
