Waterloo Taxi

I would give zero stars if possible. Drivers like this should be fired. Driver wouldn't take me home unless I paid upfront. I refused to be treated like a criminal & called another company. Driver 68 was the car & I am filing a complaint. Pay when you arrive is how it has been done for decades! He screamed at me & left me in the parking lot for an airport call.

It is concerning, both for road and passenger safety, that the taxi cabs have their license plates covered. The entire drive on the 401, the license plate was covered by a black sheet.

Hands down the worst cab company in all of Ontario. Trying to get home from work on a Sunday and they tell me they have zero taxis that can come pick me up. They don't tell you when you book, they tell you when you've been waiting 10 minutes already and you call to find out where they are. Close your doors already. Uber has your business now, fools

Drivers are polite courteous and safe. And the cars are kept clean inside and out. Makes a big difference

Just didn’t show up for a trip to the airport. I would have been totally screwed if Uber wasn’t readily available

Took a ride back to Kitchener from Mississauga airport. Taxi was outside just as we excited. Turns out David (driver) had been waiting for us because the flight got delayed. There was no additional charge for the wait!

He was also very polite and considerate. His car # is 31.

They accepted the ride and never turned up
More worrying was it picked me up on paper and dropped me aswell, all happening while i am still waiting for taxi to arrive for 20 mins.

Monumentally unreliable

Unfortunately I have to give one star even though most of the drivers are amazing. I had a horrible experience not long ago not only did the driver not handle anything proper, neither did dispatch. Considering the amount of cab related crimes and complaints

Some of these drivers need to be screened better. They drive like maniacs and almost cause accidents on multiple occasions.

I hit my head on the roof in the backseat because this driver has been speeding and flew threw a roundabout and hit a curb at high speed.

To the brainless cabbie in the white Toyota Camry in Elmira, the next time you pull out in front of me I'm going to teach you a hard life lesson!

PSA: do not book this company for airport service if you are traveling with your family. They have a hard limit of 3 total luggage pieces (carry on or not) and will refuse to carry you if you are over WITHOUT A REFUND! My 1 year old and I were kicked out of cab in the cold because we had 1 bag extra. Terrible service, rude driver, and the Uber we had to take ended up being cheaper.

Great trip to Pearson airport with flat rate charge. Excellent driver and comfortable car.

They don’t listen when you tell them where you want to be picked. This has happened too many times. Very poor service. I waited over 30 minutes

You have a driver in a beige Camry set on hitting pedestrians legally crossing the street at crosswalks. I’m super cautious before crossing; but, your driver turns out from a parking lot to speed through the crosswalk in front of me despite flashing lights and clear markings on Regina Street uptown Waterloo. This has happened THREE TIMES now. A WRPS officer blasted a siren at your driver tonight for blowing through this crosswalk with lights flashing.

Your management needs to make sure Waterloo Taxi drivers understand the legal requirement for drivers at flashing, marked crosswalks in Ontario: In locations where flashing lights are installed, a visual signal is provided to alert that a pedestrian is crossing. Pedestrians press the button to activate the flashing lights, signaling that they intend to cross the road. Pedestrians should proceed with caution and make sure that traffic has stopped in both directions before walking onto the road. Drivers and cyclists are required to stop and allow the pedestrian to cross. Once the pedestrian has crossed the full width of the road, vehicles may proceed.

If you fail to address this issue and your driver hits me, rest assured I will pursue legal action against the driver and your company.

This shouldn’t be like this. Please talk to your drivers about respecting crosswalks.

Just witnessed a driver tell his passenger to hurry up and get in. She is elderly and has a walker, she
is disabled. When she was getting in, he said something to her and I heard her say, I told you I'm coming I went over and said, how dare you. What a horrible man. 609 Davenport Rd. Cab #43
Never will accept this cab ever again. And will spread the word here in my building. I
have used them quite often, and were polite. But this man is ignorant

Super friendly and helpful. I had a trip from Waterloo to London and the whole trip was seamless, even with a dog. Will definitely be using their services again.

I missed my train because of them! I called to request a car 50 minutes ahead of time. Specified the exact time I wanted to be picked up taking into account the time it took to get to the train station plus 20 minutes extra for last minute issues, told them that I had a train to catch and gave the exact time the train is leaving, the operator said the car would be there on time.
When the car did not show up 7 minutes after the promised time, I called to check and the operator said they were busy and it wouldn't be before 15 more minutes at least, which meant I would not be able to catch my train. Had they been upfront about it, or had they alerted me earlier about the delay, I could have managed. Instead, here I am now writing a review about a failure to do the exact thing they are supposed to do while missing my train and having to change my plans because of the taxi service.

Reliable, although now that I live in Kitchener (further away from Waterloo) I usually wait longer for a cab.

Left my wallet in the back seat and the driver came back to my house to return it. He didn't want a reward but I have him one anyway.

Hands down wonderful service! I had to arrange a pickup from Pearson to Waterloo last minute and Andrew handle things beautifully for me and my friend! Taxi was waiting when arrived at airport! Pleasant driver, all around great! Will definitely be using this service again.

I had cab 72 and Not only was the driver rude, but he also decided to do 27 over the speed limit with a passenger. First and the last time I ever use this company

The driver was rough in talking and he charged me on meter reading while it was on fixed rate. Be careful with this services

Extremely poor customer service and a very bad experience. Took a fare from yfk to Williamsburg Kitchener. Driver went the "Scenic route" and drove 20km for what is supposed to be a 16km fare. According to the Driver he said GOOGLE said it was the shortest route - PROTIP tell the driver you will be mapping the route as well to keep them honest. I hope this is not how a taxi company operates to stay in business.

I have used Waterloo Taxi several times to and from Pearson Airport for business. They make the process so seamless from their online booking system to quick pick up at the gate. I had a very kind and personable driver, Redsea, this evening and he was so great to chat with on the ride home!

I highly recommend Waterloo Taxi!

We received a call from a Waterloo Taxi driver that he had found a lost tablet on the road. He arranged with us to get it back. Needless to say we are very impressed with his honesty. Based on his actions if I do need a taxi, they would be the first I would call.

Good taxi company. Unfortunately with the construction zones the driver got a little bit lost but arrived only 5 minutes late.

Hopeless, went to wrong house, turned up 25 minutes late, will never use again, congratulations United Taxi you now have my business going forward

Regularly use the airport service. The office staff are very helpful. Haven't had a driver yet that hasn't been on time, courteous and professional. We've been a customer for 10+ years.

Do not use this service to book a ride to Pearson Airport a few days in advance. When the time of the booking came around we waited 10 minutes and no car. A call to dispatch and we were informed that they “had no cars and would do their best to get one but if I was worried to book with another company”.
What is the point of booking in advance for a ride to the AIRPORT if there is no guarantee of a car. Not impressed! Had to book another car quickly and it cost us WAY extra. Avoid the hassle and this company. Not impressed.

Have never used this service, but one of your drivers almost T-Boned me at the Bridge/Lancaster Tim Hortons around 30 minutes ago. I was backing out of my spot before they entered the parking lot, and as I was making my turn they sped up. If I had braked, or not sped up they would have hit me.

No damage was done, but it was too close of a call. Get your drivers in order.

Used the service to arrange for transportation from YYZ airport to Kitchener. I booked online but had to talk to dispatcher a couple times due to a change in plans (I showed up early) - they were very friendly and helpful!

Driver was very suspensions asking lots of personal quarrying about our house and it’s value and how long have been there, not sure what he was looking for

Fast reliable service. Only wish they offered a discount for using their app like other taxi services.

Have used them to get to Airport several times. Have always been on time especially for early AM flights and have made it there safely. 401 always scary though.

Really? Sarcastic replies to reviews. This just proves the lack of professionalism in this company.

For average people, they have a decent service (1 star is for that). But when it is for wheelchair cabs, not only they have long long long delays that can ruin all of your plans -as they did for me today- but worst is the lack of response and empathy, which manifests in zero words of apologies. This means some of their dispatchers are very unprofessional and not empathetic simultaneously. Waiting for their manager to call; I will update my comment here after that.

Waterloo taxi dispatch is very accomadating very ppl oriented the drivers are not so pleasing don't go where u want and some will try get every last cent if they think you don't know where your going

A very very kind and patient driver of Car 103 picked up a very disabled friend and transported us for a cemetery visit. He was so incredibly helpful and not sure we could have had such a good visit without his help.

I was told by a taxi driver when I spoke about Uber to use there Lokal app which will save you money it a joke and a lie. It does when it works but don’t be fooled they will rip you off and then when you call let them know they side with there drivers so never again will I use the app or the service again

Thank you Waterloo Taxi and Pam especially for providing such an amazing service to my family️ they made a difficult time a relief for us and kept in constant communication for my aunt to get from Pearson Airport to Kitchener.

Michael drove us in the wheelchair taxi and he was very professional. Excellent care and driving.

I've used Waterloo Taxi a couple of times and have always had a great experience. I don't have a car myself and use it to take my puppy to the vet. They have always been super professional and courteous. As long as you tell them in advance that you have an animal with you, they're super nice about it.

Nick as dispatch was very good at his job, Tony my one time driver was also very good but other drivers, other office staff are not helpful or drive like they wish they were stars in the Transporter Movies. I've lowered my star rating to reflect I will no longer be using this service.

On time for pick up. But driver absolutely wouldn’t get out off the vehicle to help with luggage. Will never use them. There are so many more options now for transportation.

Some driver doesn't know the way, made me late for work. If it's urgent or important, you cannot rely on them.
It was my first morning work for the new job, I was three minutes late. But my co workers told me today is special day for them to begin fasting. Lots of drivers are not working today. Maybe that's why there were not many taxi drivers working this morning.
