WAXON Laser + Waxbar - Yorkville Village

I went in today for an eyebrow thread at the yorkville location, and unfortunately when confirmed I was just getting a clean up done I left with a completely different shape and thin eyebrows. Would not recommend for threading.: (

Sara was AMAZING! I have gotten bikini waxes/brazilians at other places and even other waxon locations, and never received as good service as I did here. Sara really knows what she is doing, and she made me feel so comfortable. My waxes with Sara have been significantly less painful than previous waxes, and i have seen such great results. She is so kind, friendly, and overall amazing! I have recommended her to all of my friends, and it is because of her that i signed up for the monthly membership at this location.

I went here today for a wax with Sara. She is a very nice person but the technique that she used ripped my hair off not fully, not from the root, she informed me I would get ingrown hairs. I knew something was off when she oiled my skin before waxing which all my other wax techs would never of done. Also I was informed that they use a wax technique that takes longer for a Brazilian then using wax and paper. I didn’t know this before hand and I was not given an option to choose. The appointment was longer than expected and very painful. When I got prior waxes the techs were very quick using a paper and wax method and never ripped my skin and actually waxed me instead of just ripping my hairs in half. Professionalism is also an issue as comments were made about other clients which I didn’t think was appropriate. 2 stars is for the front desk being nice and because I could tell that the place has strict hygiene protocols that were followed. I was asked to pull my skin during my wax in an area that had already been waxed which I wasn’t comfortable with because my hands weren’t clean and it’s not my job. I’ve only even been asked to pull up the skin around my lower tummy prior. The tech also touched her face using the gloves she was using to wax me. I will definitely not come back here and definitely didn’t get my moneys worth. When I pay for a wax I expect that my hairs will actually be pulled fully out not just filled in half via bad technique. I’ve been waxed for over a decade and I never had such a bad experience.

I’ve gone to Waxon Yorkville a few times now and each time I have such a great experience. I see Sara, who is not only the most lovely human being, but such a talented esthetician. She is so caring in every way, personally and with her services: I can’t recommend her enough, she truly is the best!

I had 8+ laser hair removal sessions at Waxon Yorkville and I am very satisfied with their service. Staff is always cheerful. I highly recommend Amita for the laser removal, she is very kind and great at her job!

A few weeks ago helena did my first laser session and it went so smooth! I seen great results after the first session and will definitely continue to get laser at waxon.also barbara at the front desk was so kind and made my check in process easy.

Been here 3 times and I always enjoy the person who does my eye brows. Very thourough and relaxing!

Got wax in my hair after the service and they told me: "Oh, that's ok, just wash it out with conditioner", and the next day I got a rush, I guess because she did not desinfect properly. Will never go back.

I came in for waxing and threading. I specified and was very clear about wanting to maintain the thickness of my brows, and just wanting to clean and trim them, but after seeing my brows done I was extremely disappointed. She thinned them out and shaped them differently to what I wanted. Really unhappy and I spent a lot of money here.

Waxon is fantastic! Staff are professional and kind. I have had waxing done by Amita and Sarah and they are thorough, efficient and excellent! The place is also very clean. You won’t be disappointed:)

I have been getting laser treatments by Amita and she is the best tech I've had. I would highly recommend her and would go back with any other needs. The front desk staff is always kind and accommodating and their bar tab is pretty great.

WAXON is great. From easy online booking to strong but efficient COVID / sanitization protocols. Book with Amita if you can, she is very thorough, fast and friendly.

Love WAXON in Yorkville Village! Super clean, parking downstairs, adjacent to Whole Foods so I can run errands while I'm there. I go to Shahina who can do both waxing and threading, which is way better for eyebrows!

Excellent wax bar. Excellent service. Highly recommended. Liga is amazing. Pain free waxing, quick and smooth service. Always a joy to be back. Liga is so pleasant to be around as well. Also the receptionist accommodated me on a very short notice. Great team.

This was my first and definitely not my last visit. What an exceptional experience. Sofia is an absolute Joy to interact with and is very knowledgeable and helpful when discussing products and services. My appointment was scheduled with Victoria and it was an excellent experience. My services were completed flawlessly and she was very professional and friendly. She has a way of making customers feel at ease during the appointment. Looking forward to my next visit.
