I have such a great time swimming here. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Facilities are clean and adequate.

However, DO NOT keep any valuables in the change room locker. Even when locked, your stuff can still be stolen by some strangers.

This is a awesome community center, most programs are still free. The facility is new and well designed. The swimming pool is fantastic and deep too so be warn, as well as a separate child friendly pool (the temperature is inconsistent and bit too cool for children, 26 to 30°c). A library is also in the center and with a good gymnasium. There is also a daycare in the upper floor of the building.

Clean facility. Nice pool. Difficult to find parking in the area. Nice staff and lifeguards as well

A fairly new community centre with a gym, pool and library. Lots of free programming in the building for all ages.
16 May 2023 19:21
Space includes fitness center, yoga/exercise programs, basketball courts and swimming pool; there's also a public library and meeting rooms on site.

One of the best pools in the area. Clean and friendly staff. Our family takes swimming classes there.
I won't recommend the art and craft classes there.

Fun Free badminton drop in. Bummer they refuse to cap the no.of players. ALL other free centres cap theirs (Innes, Antibes, CanoeLanding, York etc.) but not this one!
02 March 2023 10:51
I called them to ask if anything is required to make a library card and the staff who was on call was unprofessional and kinda rude she said “ hello sir you can come out of your apartment and meet a staff of library and know whtever you need! “ that was unprofessional…!

Went here to play soccer with some friends.
Facilities are fantastic.
Bathrooms, ping pong tables, front desk, etc.
The staff seem to be overwhelmed with organizing pickup sports with adult males. They don't bother capping participants to a number that doesn't create overflow, they get defensive way too quickly and crumble with strong personalities. It seems the person they have working the gym just fixates on being in charge and tracking time.it would be more effective for them to just staff the doors, shut them after x players show up and let the players self organize. I will definitely go again because the level is decent and it's a good workout.

This community centre does not care about the safety of children and women! Women, teens and little girls have to change in the same space as men and boys, with no privacy, this is completely disgusting! You can even see into the change rooms from outside, who designed these rooms? ! There are people that just linger in the change rooms that aren't even using them like it's a hang out space to stare at others and make people feel uncomfortable. Are they waiting for someone to get attacked and abused before doing something and finally creating separate change rooms? ! As a woman and mother I do not feel safe changing in a open space with men myself let alone my young children. I will not be supporting this community centre until something is done! I will also be sharing my concerns with my friends and family as well as all my mom groups.

The best community service ever the hot tub, swimming, steam, you name it. I am so thankful to leave in this area.

I feel very lucky to have discovered this community Centre! It’s clean, modern and it has everything you need, from pickleball to swimming to a library!
Our pickleball courts are always prepared before we arrive…all thanks to Patrick!

Love sports want to have fun with friends now that the weather is changing well here is where you all could do it also looking to get fit always a great place for it
04 November 2022 23:32
A nice center but staff is below par. On the gymnasium anybody can get regardless of what programs they signed up for. Soccer is a complete mix of soccer, personal preference and basketball.

The pool is nice though.

Great community centre. There’s a gym, swimming pool, ping pong table, volleyball court, dance room and multi purpose rooms.

To play ping pong, you have to bring your own rackets. For pool and gym time table, visit their website.

There are also swimming lessons happening.

Also there’s a library and everything is free.

Place is really clean and well maintained.

New facility, went swimming on Saturday. Unisex, individual change rooms.no individual shower rooms, had to shower again at home. 25m pool. Lane swim is up to 5 people per lane.
22 August 2022 11:36
This place offers free swimming, with free instruction and a free weightlifting room. Excellent! The two things that are currently missing in my life. Now, how do I fit this into my schedule.

The Wellesley Community Centre has
nice and clean facilities. The building is easy to access, and the people I interact with are friendly. It’s an excellent spot to wait in line as they have some coverage away from the sun. I typically vote here and I also got my COVID shots here. This facility is right at the corner of Wellesley and Sherbourne.
25 May 2022 23:24
Hate the 'gender neutral' washrooms. It DOESN'T WORK. We women need our privacy when changing, walking around in a towel, going to the washroom right after a man comes out is disgusting. WE USE THE TOILET DIFERENTLY.helloooo?
03 May 2022 12:51
The pool is amazing for small children. Also very clean and maintained change areas. Attached is the library which is an added bonus.

I can't tell u how awesome this place is. It's literally right around the corner from my apartment. IT'S FREE. I now have zero excuse to not be in tip top shape. They have an olympic size pool, a wonderful weight room with several cardio machines as well as a full sized gym and dance studio. DID I MENTION IT'S FREE? I can't believe I never noticed this place before but Im so glad I did.

A good place with great staff, just want to share a heads up to any swimming single females to potentially save them some time:

They are currently obliging lane sharing w strangers if there's too many people, meaning that if you're the only single female as I was, you would be obliged to swim directly next to strange men. I personally wasn't motivated to take on this risk, so if you want to swim safely I would book either the women's only or else try to book on unpopular times (which I did but they apparently filled up rather quickly). Sadly there are only two female swims available. Hopefully this expands moving forward.

If you are thinking of playing basketball here, don’t even bother! I called them on the same day asking about schedule and they said they have 2 sessions: 7pm and 8pm. We got there around 6.30pm and they said to wait for the next session because it’s full - so we waited until 7.30 there only for them to say there is no session 2. Apparently the person in charge is playing and the people inside are his friends - so they prevent other people from coming in. They even pre-filled 9 of the 12 slots with their friends which was supposed to be handed out on a first come first serve basis. But that didn’t even matter anyway since they had like 15 people in there (over capacity).

They just wasted our time and violated the rules. The guy was very rude and very unprofessional, telling everyone to go away. Never again coming here.
18 November 2021 9:07
Went there to vote last week. Also got vaxxed there a few months ago. They do it all at this facility, and they do it all well!
27 October 2021 9:25
Great facility capable of keeping you busy with activities for th entire famil. Loved the outdoors table tennis play area.
11 September 2021 6:44
This place is as close to brand new as possible it's well maintained and well run anyone living in the area should find out how to get hold of their calendar or just show up and ask at the information desk they've got lots of different programs going on the only thing I saw they were missing was a swimming pool

Pretty nice Community Centre in my neighborhood. This complex is being currently in use as COVID-19 vaccination facility and they are doing pretty well.

Wow this is brilliant
I was to get my second shot in August but got it on June 18 it was A smooth process.
The Team here are absolutely amazing, the process
Is very smooth.
Thank you all I’ve heard of many difficulties with Ontarian’s trying to book vaccines on Portals.
08 August 2021 5:50
I did second does vaccine yesterday and everyone so kind and well managed.recommend this place for vaccine.
06 August 2021 9:35
I am glad that I live close to wellesley community center and can take full advantage of facilities they have to offer. It's the best place to engage in outside your work or school hours. More over it has library and other facilities which is fully free of cost. I would recommend this place for sure.
14 July 2021 23:45
Got my vaccine here, great setup and communication, they are appointment only, you can book via vaccineto.ca everything moved quite quickly got my vaccine right away, the were offering Pfizer which is the one I wanted. And they book your second appointment right there no need to worry about where to get your second dose. Enjoy ️

If you want your child to learn how to play soccer then don't waste your time here. The "training" such as it is consists of 2-3 running or dribbling drills if the staff can get around to it and the rest of the time the kids are given coloured vests and basically play amongst themselves with no rules and little supervision. There are staff in the program that literally spend 99% of the time on their phones. One staffer took literally 25 minutes to drop a few pylons down while the kids got more and more restless waiting doing nothing. For kids without access to a back yard and in wintertime the chances of them developing any skills from this program are absolutely nil. Why are these staffers getting paid warming their backsides and padding their resumes? The most underprivileged kids are gaining very little from this except basic exercise.

If your living in a shelter or homeless sleeping in the cold then this is the ideal place for you, lots of eye candy if your single. Some of the female staff are really pretty, im not pointing any fingers but she could catch it ;)

The community is so blessed to have this space. The Toronto libraries are such an underappreciated resource and I cannot overemphasize how important this one is. I've always been drawn to it and it's an architectural treat.
26 April 2019 15:46
It is a fantastic community centre. The Wellesley Community Centre is extremely spacious. It is a great place to hang out for sports and other activities. Their gym is great and they run fantastic classes. I love that the St. Jamestown library is attached. There is also some time to hang out in the library as well. Overall, it's great and I loved using their rooms for some practises. It's honestly a great place. Check it out!
26 April 2019 14:15
Decent facilty, friendly and helpful staff. A pool is being built currently connecting the 2 buildings so for now its quite the eyesore. Im sure itll significantly improve once it is completed (hopefully summer 2019) the dance studio has been leaking so that kind of puts a damper on things. Im sure the city will fix that sometime 2020 lol
11 April 2019 22:46
A nice center but staff is below par. On the gymnasium anybody can get regardless of what programs they signed up for. Soccer is a complete mix of soccer, personal preference and basketball.

I was there to check out how the renovation was going. The Red Cross was there doing an amazing job for all the residents in the building that had lost power. Community centre staff was A1 in doing what it could to help those that needed somewhere warm to be with a hot drink and snacks!
29 January 2019 0:07
I really like all the open space when you walk in. There are also individual rooms here you can rent. And the library is accessible from next to the front door!
05 January 2019 13:51
I really haven't used any amenities here just the library. But I see an indoor court, table tennis there.
27 December 2018 2:42
Focus is primarily youth and senior programming. Staff mostly young and I've seen a turn over in the last yr or so. The regulars seem to have outgrown the space. They are currently under construction building a pool, this will certainly be a positive for the community. Both of my kids are active in their after school program, they're pretty consistent and try their best to make it entertaining for them. No major negatives.

It's really amazing to be able to review a place that I have used and walked by for about 15 years now.

Anyways, my main issue is that the hours are very limited and you have to PAY in order to use their abundant rooms for community gatherings and the like. If it really was a centre that the community could use as they please it really would be an amazing place. Unfortunately the site is understaffed and literally has no security most of the time which is probably the reason why it's not open 24/7 which definitely would be nice.
