Historically I have not been a fan of their beer, but my wife loves the New England hazy stuff they brew. So I ordered her some beer and some for me to try again for Christmas. Wellington happily took the money upon ordering and have not responded to a single email following up on the order (four sent now) - we are on Day 23. Terrible customer service, a coworker orders from them for our office supply; will convince them to try somewhere else because of this incident.
EDIT: Wellington Brewery contacted me finally after this review and solved the issue. They said it was a one off and had the order delivered via someone's car (instead of company vehicle). Everything was resolved in about one hour and the delivery was at my door with a refund. Outstanding service once it was tracked down.
Loved it! Great indoor room and outside patio. Our server was exceptional. I loved the "food" menu.as prices were not unreasonable at all and they had a GREAT selection of various snack foods.so many places offer so little variety but not here. The sausage on a bun was superb. We had the welly imperial stout and it was the absolute best! I'd guess this will be my favorite brew of the year. If I lived closer I'd be here once a week! This place tries hard to be a fun destination and they succeed. Great job everyone!
There are plenty of great breweries in Guelph but Wellington is my favourite. It has the most delicious, consistent core lineup and the most delicious, interesting and fun new recipes that they are constantly developing and releasing. The best hop water I've ever tasted too. Their staff are knowledgeable and fun and they often host events ranging from tasting to yoga. Amazing spot.
I drink a lot of beer, and for people who want to know why this stands out among a crowd of colourful beers at the LCBO, I can tell you why. All of their beers are true to style, inoffensive and flavorful.bitterness with a crisp finish on their lighter beers, and a well rounded flavor profile on their darker beers. I also have to give them props for their can design; the other breweries need to stop letting their children design their cans with crayons.
One of the advertising vehicles cut us off and gave the finger after yelling something incoherent.pretty unprofessional way to handle things in a company vehicle
Wellington Brewery is a nice tap room on the outside of town. We stopped in here after a rainy today for a pint or two. They had a variety of beers. We tried a flight and I liked most of them, but there were a few that weren't my favorite. What's fun about this place is they sell cheese at the front of the shop and that lets them put together nice charcuterie boards. Those paired well with the cheese so you should try one out.
Great spot. I visited here to catch up with a friend. Good selection of styles, and some interesting limited editions. Both selections were tasty, on the hoppy side, and good. I also had a snack, which was delicious. Not a big taproom, but enough to sit up to 20 people, tightly packed. Service was fast and friendly. We will return.
