I use to go here, but after all the changes and not renewing my prescription, just completely cutting me off my medications I decided it was time to change. I started to go to melrose medical in brampton and what a difference in staff and treatment, even the pharmacy was excellent, physio and so much more available there.but melrose medical was not able to get my records or any documents from welmedica, I even went and asked and nothing.wellmedica is very poor run clinic and has terrible communication.will never go back here again after experiencing good quality care. I wouldnt even give them one star.

I have always had a wonderful experience at this clinic. The staff is caring and very professional. The owner/manager Mr. Munawar always goes an extra mile to help the customers and patients. Lovely staff and great service. I would highly recommend this clinic

An amazing team of professional and friendly people. Treat you very well. I highly recommend.
Thank you to all.

I won’t recommend this clinic to anyone. Manager Mr. Munawar raises his voice and hangs up the phone on a stroke patient who calls to follow up on a stroke clinic referral from neurologist Dr. Zaitlen. The doctor was polite and very professional at the scheduled appointments, however, the afterwards experience communicating with the clinic staff ruined everything. The referral process promised to take no more than two weeks, took three months already and still is not completed. The reception staff promises to get back to you the next day, however, they never do. When calling to find out the reason what takes it so long they simply reply “We don’t know, the doctor doesn’t respond to our emails. ” (For three months!) The manager was extremely rude and I feel he shouldn’t be allowed to deal with patients, especially with stroke patients who require immediate assistance and delicate care. Filing my complaint to authorities to investigate this case.

I’ve been going to this clinic as walk in for couple times and the service if very quick. The walk in doctor belcon is quite knowledgeable and doesn’t prescribe unnecessary medications to you. Whatever is required is given. The front and the pharmacy staff is very professional and kind.
18 January 2023 21:14
I have been coming here regularly for prescriptions and I like the fast service and the respectful conversations. If I am in a rush and leave quickly they call in on me to check if I’m doing well with my medication. They have done free delivery for me and friends in the past which is very convenient. Wait time to see a doctor is hit or miss but pretty short during the week, its close to where I live so works out.
11 January 2023 11:44
I had Dr. Ugwunze give me some questionnaires which I thought was a little pointless but once we got to actually talking I felt a lot better. He gave me some medication and told me to only use it when I needed it and that I could set up a call with him if things were getting worse.
I will actively continue seeing this doctor because I have never gone through sometime like this before it was very reassuring to get this type of help for the unknown.
11 January 2023 5:00
Dr. Ugwunze has been very helpful and mostly professional over the past couple years that I have been seeing him. He's helped my depression and anxiety in a major way. He is a little harder to understand than I'd like, but does get the point across. It feels like he is a little quick to prescribe medicine and is looking more at his computer than at me during our sessions, but the sessions are helpful enough that this matters less to me.
22 November 2022 0:33
What I love about the doctors at this location is that they don’t prescribe me too many unnecessary medications. You are given just what you need to do the job.

Micheal Belcon didn’t seem to care about my problem.took one glance and said everything is fine, wouldn’t call him a doctor.
26 October 2022 3:36
Unfortunately I did not have a great 5-star experience at this clinic. The reception and nursing staff were friendly & helpful, so my overall experience of the clinic was OK enough for a 2 star rating.

However.

I went for a skin-patch allergy test with Dr Belcon and found him to either be very sarcastic, or very rude. He told me that my knowledge of my history with allergens from my childhood (2 & 8 years old) was vague & speculative, and made me feel as if I was making things up (which I was not) or stupid. He said that some of my reactions to allergens were not actual reactions and could have been from something else (example, nausea/vomiting when eating certain allergens was actually from ill-prepared food and not an allergic reaction), whereas in any reading I have done, these are actual common allergic reactions.

I did appreciate that Dr Belcon explained that the skin-patch allergy test worked and that it would not confirm I have allergies to certain things, just that my body creates the anti-bodies for those common allergens, and therefore I should avoid them. I understood from Dr Belcon's explanation that in order to confirm an allergy to these things, I would need to actually ingest them (food allergens) or be exposed otherwise (environmental allergens), and record if I have any reactions.

I do not feel as though I understand my "possible" allergies anymore than I did before walking into this clinic, other than the fact that in order to confirm allergies I need to actually be exposed to them. I will be asking my family doctor to send me to another clinic with allergy specialists to do more testing so I can understand my possible food allergies much more, knowing what I can/can't eat.

Worst doctor office around, reception- can’t understand them. Doctor - can’t handle the patients they do have, literally 2 month waiting time. Do your self a favour and find a different clinic. You’ll die before getting help you need from here. I got mri’s done a month ago, result came in 4 days after I had them done. It took a month for the clinic to call me, now I have to wait 2 months to see my doctor. WOW not worth it. I can go to a new doctor get my files sent there and see them in 2 weeks. What is Wellmedica doing? That others have no issues
23 September 2022 19:34
Arrived at 9: 30am for a 10am appointment - waited politely until 10: 40am - when they told me the Doctor is NOT coming in. I took the bus here and had to uber to work afterwards. Waste of money and time. Dr. Sherry Fahmy - did not show up for work.

I was a patient of Dr. Michael. He is one rude fellow. Instead of paying attention to your chief complaint, his sole focus is to make you feel dumb. I do understand tenosynovitis is repetitive injury and no, I just can't sit idle at home doing nothing that too with a 9 month old. I could have rested myself if that was the only option. People have a Carrier they want to work and you should be empathetic enough to understand the problems and not shunn the patient away by making statements like this is injury and not cancer. Even if it was a cancer you don't have the expertise to treat it and I won't come to you for that.yes, I am aware enough. Your profession has some ethics, follow those, ever heard of individualized treatment plan. Yes, doctors do that and that is expected out of you as well.i don't know why these doctors think it is okay to not hear the patient. Health care is not free. You swipe our card. Govt pays you and we pay taxes for that. So work.
15 August 2022 13:29
Dr. Belcon is the most unprofessional, rudest doctor we have ever met. He shakes off patients with the worst attitude because he does not like it when a patient asks questions. Never look you in the eye when talking and want you of there asap. Just got referred to him by an urgent care clinic. Try not to go there because he doesn't care about you. Prescribes painkillers and want you to take them whether you need them or not, and expect you to take them no matter what. He should be stripped off his medical license.
28 January 2022 1:33
Dr. Ugwunze is truly a horrible doctor and should not be able to talk to any patient or should be allowed to have a license at this point. The fact he is still employed at this clinic considering how more than half the bad reviews are about him is alarming. Overall purely horrible.
19 January 2022 13:36
I have ben calling this office for a week, at first they said, they have not got the fax from my family doctor. I have to literally coordinate between my family doctor and their office to have that referral fax. After confirming that they have the fax they took another week to respond me back. They do not call, and you have to follow up again and again with them. The most frustrating part is their staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. Called the office Manger Mr. Khan, hoping to get some help but he also seems to be lost. Will speak to my family doctor asking him not to refer any more to this unpleasant place.
03 January 2022 0:22
I had an appointment last week with Dr Ugwunze at 12: 45. The receptionist called me at 12: 40 saying I had an appointment and if I wasn't there on time I would have to pay for the appointment.huh? ! I didn't bother arguing with her and gave her the benefit of the doubt since English isn't her first language. When I arrived to Wellmedica I spoke with her and told her that when she called me I wasn't late. The Dr really rubbed me the wrong way and I've been trying to be patient with him even overlooking all the negative reviews but at this point I am in the middle of trying to find a new doctor. I told him that I had been off my meds for over a week and had asked my pharmacy to call him. He rolled his eyes, "scoffed" and asked why my pharmacy would call him.errrr well because this is normal pharmacy protocol when patients no longer have refills! He said he 'doesn't do phone refills because people don't come for follow up appointments! ' Most doctors give you just enough medication to tie you over until your next appointment but not this guy. I guess it makes more sense for patients to go into withdrawal because you don't do phone refills.

P. S. Has anyone else noticed the "Owner" only responds to 5 star messages, clearly this "business" is not trying to listen to concerns or bothered to change!

Sat on my mother's referral for 2 weeks from her family doctor. She need Iron infusion urgently.

I had to call the office to have them find it.when I called, front desk lady kept yanning while talking to me.

They took another week to say we cant do it. You have to go to another specialist.what a horrible experience and waste of time.
09 December 2021 20:19
I have been going to the pharmacy for quite some time now. The staff is really nice. The girl working there Ruhi, she is very helpful, kind and she remembers your name as soon as you enter with or without mask. I must say I am quite impressed. That is a very good quality. She knows what she is talking about. Wanted to write a review for her from a long time but just got to know her name recently. Thank you Ruhi for helping always and the pharmacist.
01 December 2021 10:05
They don't call back? And is requiring an appointment for a refill on meds.how am I supposed to make the appointment if I call and no one answers, AND then they don't call back. So if you're taking a high dose of meds and run out, you're out of luck. Wish I read the reviews because apparently numerous other people have this issue. I am supposed to be managing my anxiety.but this clinic is making it worse because now I'm stressed about how to refill my pills. Legit avoid this place at all costs, they do not care.

Dr. Ugwunze is by far the worst psychiatrist i've ever been referred to. He is abrasive and short tempered. His view of mental health is outdated and does not prioritize the patient's wellbeing, He does not consider addiction to be an illness or treatable through mental health interventions. After being 30 mins late, he began scolding me when my answers to his questions during out initial consult were not following the "format" he wanted. It got to the point where he was interrupting me at every attempt to speak. Then I suggested he ask me yes/no questions instead because i couldn't even finish a sentence before he interjected. His attitude made me uncomfortable and frankly less inclined to go into any depth of my true daily challenges. Then after less than 30 minutes, he told me he will not take me as a patient because i used to smoke weed and drink heavily back in my 20's.i've done well to overcome that challenge in my past and I didn't expect a doctor, moreover a psychiatrist to use that as a reason to refuse to take on my case from my last psychiatrist (who moved to another city). This guy has no business calling himself a psychiatrist in Ontario. I'll follow this up with a complaint to the college of physicians and surgeons and the ombudsman as soon as I find a new psychiatrist.

I really don't know from where to start.lot of lovely things in my mind I want to mention about this special unique quality service medical centre.from the time you phone in.meeting the receptionist.their knowledgable professional staff and doctors.their kindness up to the level you feel that they are your family.their follow up and reminders.you just name it. I went through many difficult situations and they where always there for me with full support. I do recomend this centre with no hesitation.
I would like to mention a recent situation where a pharmacist took the extra miles in helping my son getting his cretical medicine after duty hours.i believe she dose that with all patients.thank you Ruhi and thanks to Munawar for having such wonderful staff.
11 March 2021 10:12
This place is a joke.

Much like other reviewers have experienced, they have been a nightmare for prescriptions. You have to call them multiple times to get something done, and even then they lie and deceive you.

I would avoid at all costs.
08 February 2021 4:25
Best Pharmacy hands down in BRAMPTON. I have collaborated with this pharmacy and have complete confidence in their professional services. Mr. Munawar and their team have went above and beyond to help the people in need.
06 February 2021 19:05
My pharmacy sent a prescription refill 3 times to this office. My mother has Alzeimers and was completely out of medication. Everytime I called, I was placed on hold for over 30 minutes. Each time I spoke to a receptionist, I was assured this would be taken care of and 2 weeks later, we are still waiting for the prescription to be filled. This is not acceptable and I wouldn't suggest this Doctor's office to anyone. They obviously don't care about their patients. I've called twice today and after staying on hold for 40 minutes, I was hung up on both times.
16 October 2020 14:18
Horrible waiting times, unorganized and tend to interrupt you a lot when you are speaking. Would not recommend.
10 September 2020 22:22
Most unprofessional medical office I have ever dealt with. You can never get a hold of anyone then when u do they disconnect you. Receptionist is very rude and unprofessional. Appointments are made but never followed through.
14 August 2020 4:10
Munawar is a very knowledgeable, kind and helpful pharmacist. He is always willing to go above and beyond to help us with our prescriptions in any way he can. My husband and I are very satisfied with the service we receive from Munawar and all the staff at WellMedica Pharmacy! I refer my family and friends all the time, hoping to send him new business and to let him know how happy we are with the service. We are very grateful to Manuwar and his staff especially now during COVID-19. Thank you for all of your efforts, and most of all, your passion for patient care. Barbara Gibson

I asked my doctor to refer me to a a dermatologist in Brampton. This location came up as one of the very few in Brampton. Although they showed up when we searched for “dermatologist” & their first service on their building showed “Dermatology”, it is stupid for a business owner to falsely advertise their services online & on their storefront (see photo).

The problem I see with private clinics is; they are strictly there for the “business” interests of making money. The moment private investors were allowed by the government to open clinics & hire medical practitioners to run their businesses, that’s where you find the conflicts begin.
15 February 2020 7:36
Some at reception need to improve on their customer service skills. Very poor attitude by a lady at the reception I spoke to over the phone today at the Brampton location. I was looking for a copy of my recent prescription to be faxed over to my pharmacy and the way she responded was very rude. She did not want to help me at all. She was trying to hang up soon. She had told me the doctor was away and I had to wait 10 days. My pharmacy has been faxing them for a week now with no response. I don’t understand why my prescription could not be sent over when it’s the same prescription I have been using and I had seen the doctor recently. At the end I had told her the pharmacy at their clinic may have a copy of my prescription as well and can they not sent it. She said then contact them and not to ask her about it. This is a ridiculous answer to give a patient when the pharmacy is connected to their office and I have to go through reception to talk to the pharmacy. She should have offered to do that when I told her as I was in need of medications. Very bad attitude and tone of this staff. I work in customer service too and this is definitely not the way to talk to customers or patients. I’ve also had a rude staff once when I was in the clinic, It could have been the same lady. However, there are few others that were nice and helpful. Please re-train them or find new staff.
16 December 2019 4:15
Amazing Staff. However, I believe patients need to be more educated on the difference between psychiatrist and clinical psychologist.
29 November 2019 0:14
The receiptionist should change her attitude. I have been there twice and the lady with glasses just does not want to talk even! She should get proper training. I understand, she is elderly. But as long as you are on service, you should know how to behave. This is Canada and everyone has right to have proper behaviour. So dont show attitude.
09 November 2019 21:20
I wish there was an option for ZERO STARS, but had to put one because I will say that wait time is fast. These positive reviews on here must be fake. Dr. Ugwanze is TERRIBLE! Almost no emotions, and does not listen to his patients at all. I know what I needed for my terrible anxiety that has been destroying my life and he refuses to help the way I need it. He makes people feel stupid when they explain stuff and doesnt try AT ALL to get to routes of the problem. I left that building both times feeling more anxious and devastated then ever! He doesnt deserve the title of physiatrist.
28 October 2019 11:29
The pharmacy in here is one of the best I've been to. The pharmacist is really kind and friendly and so is the rest of his staff. Very accommodating, the building is nice and new, they do price matching for medications and even offer tea and coffee while you're waiting!
17 September 2019 8:50
Not usually a review person, but I have to say something. I don’t ask much of health care providers, but I can honestly say this was a really discouraging experience. I was really looking forward to my appointment as I’d been dealing with severe anxiety for over a year and wanted to finally see a psychiatrist. After waiting 2 weeks for the day to come around, they didn’t even have my name down for an appointment after I’d confirmed it over the phone with the same woman that was sitting behind the desk when I got there. They agreed to take me and I was quickly pulled into a room by a doctor. I don’t even remember his name. (He was tall, black and bald) Anyways, he barely even looked at me the whole time and just asked me basic questions about myself and what I was experiencing and typed it into a computer. He looked at me like I had 3 eyes when I described basic anxiety/OCD/depression symptoms. I felt very stupid and embarrassed. He then “diagnosed” me with anxiety (which I already knew!) and told me I could go back on antidepressants.or not if I didn’t want to. It was such a waste of time. You know it’s bad when your family doctor apologizes for sending you there after she spoke with the psychiatrist about my results. She wasn’t impressed either. The bottom line is that *I needed help and didn’t receive it* I’m not saying this will be everyone’s experience because we are all different, but if you go there and have a similar experience don’t let it discourage you from seeking help elsewhere. Keep trying. I found help elsewhere and I’m feeling much better.

Amazing office. From the nurses to the foot dr, pysio dr and pharmacist it is a overall amazing experience

Dr. Ugwanze is the worst psychiatrist ever he made me feel worse for having depression and anxiety and he was my first doctor i ever saw for bipolar.he has no mannerisms and made me feel guilty.he barely spoke to me rather he speaks to his computer.he spent more time looking at his computer typing what i said rather than talk to me.

I'm sure Dr. Fisctein would be very helpful, if I actually have gotten to see her more than once. I understand sh*t happens in life and sometimes you have to cancel appointments for four months. I understand weather happens and you have to cancel your appointments for the day to pick up you kids. It's just frustrating the feeling that someone can't be paid enough to give a sh*t about me. And it's even more frustrating knowing that my work thinks *I'm* the pne putting off these doctor's appointments and I am potentially going to be fired because of it.
