Wendy's

With one couple in front of us we thought we'd be in/out quickly. Ha ha ha.boy was I wrong. We watched them put fries in the bag and sit.and sit.and sit.before the burgers were put therein. I'm sure the couple in front of us were not happy about their cold fries with their burgers.
Fifteen minutes later our meals were ready. I guess we are just used to the speedy quick accurate service we get at our local Wendy's in Oshawa that this seemed incredibly long.
My husband's burger had a mustard packet on top of it.seriously, you couldn't put mustard ON the burger on the other side of the counter? I ordered the Cobb salad and the chicken and bacon were plentiful which was nice but the lettuce had brown spots, dry ends and slimy spots and I'm pretty sure the tomatoes had frost bite.that is not very appealing if I have to pick it all out.
So, what is it with On Route's? They have constant traffic going through there. Why is service so bad? It makes no sense to me.

Was there on Monday shortly in the lunch time serving bracket where I placed my order at the cash, I didn't realize there is a self ordering machine however I chose to interact with an employee. I waited for my food for about 6-7 minutes; however given it was the beginning of their lunch crowd and with 2 people on staff, one a manager on the floor.it was worth the wait. I was very pleased my JBC was assembled with care. It was not slapped on haphazardly. It looked just like the commercial ad picture. They made my chicken strips fresh to order (mainly why it took as long as it did). The main point here is they made my order right fresh to order and took their time doing so.
I understand it's a fast food chain and a lot of customers need to understand patience/grace and empathy are a virtue in these times where places are short handed on staff.

Stopped in and there was a sign saying no soft drinks. I was hungry so asked for a spicy chicken burger. Was told they were out of that. Ended up ordering a hamburger and fries and it took 25 minutes to get the food. There was 2 young men working and the cook was preparing burgers and standing around while the other man was taking orders. Food was cold and burger was dry. Other people came up to order after me and was told they only had water to drink no napkins only paper towels no salad no chicken. Why even open at this point shut down early. People were not impressed I will not be returning and to note I live close by. To add they even didn’t have any frostys. This place is a joke.

This place is one of the worst locations even see no ketchup not no tray waiting 20 minutes get food

The burger ordered was very cold even as soon as received and opened. Even when I reordered -' it wasn't much improved and the bun was stale.

By far the worst Wendys I've been to in Ontario. Poor quality food (dry), slow service, often missing menu items, closes early, and higher prices than inland outlets. If heading westbound on the 401, continue to the Bowmanville Ave Wendys right off the highway.

Horrible order system. Poor customer service. The employees simply don't care. Looooong wait for food. Not close to enough staff. No improvement over the past of years. Just brutal! Don't bother going here. Go to the Tim Horton's or Starbucks instead.

Ordered a side Caesar salad. There was a piece of metal in it. Not just any piece of metal, a rusty metal.

Came in.took 30 minutes just to order and then another 20 minutes to get the food
Our fries were cold by the time we got put burger and chicken fingers. Person at the cash was super friendly, but unfortunately the ppl preparing the food moved at a snails pace.it literally looked like they made the fires one at a time for our order of 4.

I left without ordering after waiting 10 mins. Staff wouldn’t acknowledge me at all. They only had the kiosk open but were serving people from the register when I got there. Kiosk was filthy looking and no hand sanitizer in sight.

Staff wouldn’t make eye contact and in my option, refusing to serve me.

Horrible location. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

On a Sunday at lunch, there were only 4 visible people working. We were 3rd in line, and it took over 30 minutes to order at the cashier and another 20 minutes to get 3 chicken stripes, 1 burger, and 4 fries.so unacceptable. Only saving grace was the cashier. He was friendly and patient with all the impatient lineup of people.

The woman forgot half my order, ignored everything i said, and even disrespected me.i spent $20 worth of things and received practically nothing.

Too slow service due to less staff at the front counter. I had been waiting there for 15 min just to place a order, then left without ordering any food because no one was available to take my order.

Everybody working needs retraining. Took ages for food to get out. You guys don't need to make fries one order at a time. You have a line of 20 people, odds are you're gonna need fries. Fries should be ready to go at all times. The only thing that should take time is the fried chicken items.

I didn't like potatoes. It tasted bitter. Do you change the fryer at all or is it already black?

Rather than open a till and serve the line of customers waiting to order the staff here would rather hide in the back and force you to use their ONE self serve kiosk to place your order. After waiting 10m to try to place our order we left as I was tired of having your useless employees looking at us and moseying around without a sense of purpose while people who actually want to order are standing around. Terrible service, do not recommend.

Guy at the cash at 12: 29 pm on April 10th could not be more unfriendly. Frowning and a sour face while we ordered. Wow, put in a little effort or get someone else.

Absolutely ridiculous sat in a drive through for 25 minutes waiting for 2 drinks, unn acceptable management needs to give their head a shake

Worst wendys i have ever been too. They never have anything.one time my husband went there and they told him they didnt even have fries. Definitely a place tovavoid if you are in a rush, they took 20 mins to make 2 burgers and 1 order of chicken strips and they werent even fresh!

Only one counter staff. Onroute, VERY busy. Owners, get off your wallet and hire more staff.
