I would be hesitant to associate myself with a group of individuals who appear to embrace elitism and a sense of superiority to other RACES, as this attitude seems to have influenced their children aka wesley christian academy students.

So to the leader who falls short of their leadership role, Mrs Serio, (leader used loosely) and the elitist parents whose children attend this school, there is a deep disappointment in your.un-Christian-like ways

If I had been aware of these issues earlier, I would never have chosen to enroll my child at WESLEY ChristianAcademy. I would prefer not to be associated with such a community.

I cannot say enough good things about WCA, this school has the most caring and loving staff and teachers I have ever seen. What they are offering is simply priceless. You can never go wrong by choosing this school.

A Heartbreaking Journey at Wesley Christian Academy Failing to Uphold Christian Values

As a parent, I feel compelled to share my familys distressing experience at Wesley Christian Academy. I hope that by shedding light on our unfortunate encounters, we can inspire positive change and help create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all students.


AN UNWELCOMING ATMOSPHERE:

From the moment my 7 year old black child set foot in Wesley Christian Academy, it became apparent that they were not readily accepted. Despite my childs eagerness to embrace the new school year, they faced an uphill battle seeking acceptance from both their peers and the school administrators. (Excluding Mrs Wong) The lack of diversity was glaring, and it seemed as though this homogeneity led to hesitation and exclusion towards anyone who didn't fit into the Asian mold.


Mental Health & Neglect:
What alarmed me most was the impact this unwelcoming environment had on my child's mental health. They came home feeling isolated, unimportant, and questioning their worth. It was disheartening to witness their self-esteem deteriorate, knowing that the very institution we entrusted with their education played a role in their psychological struggles. The dismissive attitude towards their concerns only further exacerbated the situation, LEADING TO A MENTAL BREAKD, leaving our family feeling helpless and frustrated.

Unresponsive Administration:
Despite reaching out to the administration for support and guidance, our calls for help fell on deaf ears. The head of the school, who should have taken a proactive approach in addressing these issues, failed to acknowledge or promptly address our concerns. This lack of concern sent a clear message that our child's well-being was not a priority to the school. It's devastating to think that a place meant to nurture young minds could be so dismissive of the mental health struggles of one of its students.


A Name Misaligned with Values:
It is disheartening to witness a school that proudly labels itself as "Christian" fail to embody the core values it claims to uphold. Our experience at Wesley Christian Academy was far from reflective of the compassionate, accepting, and inclusive principles that Christianity teaches. This misalignment between the name and the reality of the institution's practices is deeply saddening and calls into question the intentions and sincerity behind the school's branding.

A Call for Change:
Moving forward, it is imperative that Wesley Christian Academy takes swift action to address the significant concerns raised by our family and others who have experienced similar treatment. The school must reevaluate its practices and commit to creating a truly inclusive environment that celebrates the rich diversity within its student body. Fundamental changes, such as proactive anti-racist education, mandatory cultural sensitivity training for staff and faculty, and open dialogues surrounding racial equality and acceptance, are necessary steps towards rectifying the harm caused and preventing future incidents


Our journey at Wesley Christian Academy was one marred by exclusion, microagressions, prejudice, racism, classism, colorism, neglect, and disappointment. It is my genuine hope that sharing our story will shed light on the urgent need for change within the school's ethos and practices. Our BLACK AND BROWN children deserve better—a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment that values and celebrates their unique identities. And it is up to schools like Wesley Christian Academy to fulfill their responsibility in providing such an environment, grounded in the true teachings of Christianity.

The teachers are very organized. They are very hard working teachers. All staffs always has a smile and never gives up.

Great school with loving and caring caregivers and teachers. You can feel that from the Principal to every staff in the school.
