Came in this past weekend to pick up an order that I had ordered online and had shipped to the store. Took them 45 minutes to bring me my item even though they didn't appear busy. Many of the sales associates throughout the store were having their own private conversations in groups of 3 of more and only helped me when I asked them to. I've been here multiple times and unfortunately, have had similar experiences every time.

I recently visited the Bayview location twice to pick out a new car seat. Desiree helped me both times & made the decision-making process as painless as it could be. (I only went back a second time so I could have my baby test out the finalists, upon Desiree’s recommendation). She was so knowledgeable on the different brands/features and made me feel confident about my decision.

I'm giving a 2 star rating because I found it odd that when I wanted to speak to a manager regarding some clarification on my purchase, the manager at the store did not want to come on the phone and speak with me. Super weird and horrible customer service.that's your job. Literally. The employees were "screening me" asking about my concern and would essentially be monkey in the middle sorta speak telling me what the manager said in response to my questions. Who does that? Odd customer service and weird vibe. I wanted to speak to a manager because my issue originally was not resolved with an employee. Im not a complainer by any means and this happened on 1 occassion. Just left a bad customer service experience with me. Seems to be a trend with WestCoast Kids. It's not a good look, step up your customer service, train your employees and DO BETTER. I would definitely not recommend any family and friends to purchase from here. Oh and for the manager.you need to speak to people not hide behind your employees! That's poor customer service.

My husband and I visited the store and received amazing service from Des! She was attentive and went through all of the high chairs and pack and plays with us. We picked the two we want on our registry with her help. The store has literally everything you could need and the staff were lovely!

I was helped by Chelsey (apologies not sure of the spelling) in the car seat section and received fantastic service. I came in with 2 options in mind and Chelsey was able to give me a very thorough comparison and also suggested a newer model that I hadn’t heard about. After checking out the seats in the store we headed outside to actually place them in my car so I could see how much space they would take up. This was such a helpful service and allowed me to feel confident in my decision on such an important purchase. I also really appreciate the live chat on the website and specifically the person who helped me (Savvy) was able to give me details about the car seat fit check I mentioned above.

I had a terrible experience with the customer service at this location. I went in to purchase my stroller (over a 2k purchase) based on a promotion they had in store. I had gone in a few weeks ago and had some quotes put on file. I called a few days ago to go ahead with the purchase and it seemed like they had no idea how to access my profile. I felt weary about making this huge purchase over the phone, so I decided to go in person. I made the trip in and went over the items and promotion with a salesperson (who didn’t seem to know the products). Come to find out the original sales person made a huge error and the items I chose were not included in the promo. Very upsetting as the staff should know what is and what isn’t included in their promotions. I was offered no apologies, only 10% off. It seemed like the manager didn’t care at all and brushed the situation off. Special mention to Linda who helped us look at different strollers and made the overall experience a little better. Unfortunately, it ended on a sour note when one of the staff interrupted us to ask if we were “buying anything” because they wanted to close. I completely understand needing to close the store, but there are ways to make your customers feel cared for and not rushed. I wont be buying anything else in here moving forward.

If you are the unlucky recipient of broken furniture you are on your own. Picked up a $700 baby letto crib from their warehouse that was broken on one side. Now they are saying there is no stock to replace it and we have to go to manufacturer. Yet when I call and pretend to be a new sale, 2 are available in stock. As soon as they discover I actually need to exchange they suddenly become spoken for. Take your business elsewhere if you can as customer service means nothing to this company.

Bought our second car seat from them and experience was even better than our first.

The person helping us was so knowledgeable, helpful and he made sure to answer all our questions. And didn’t upsell us to w more expensive one. Wish I remembered his name to thank him here!

From there the manager (Deanna I believe) is a certified car seat installer.

After price matching a cheaper price we found (with no arguments or fuss) we asked if she had time to install our seat. Normally you have to book in advance but she squeezed us in which was helpful given she did something in 5 mins that would have taken us an hour.

Highly recommend. Great service. Great price. Great knowledge.

Today, I visited West Coast Kids with my family, intending to purchase a co-sleeper for our soon-to-arrive baby. We saw a sale sign for the specific model we wanted, priced at $249. However, when we showed interest in the item, the salesperson tried to upsell us a different version for $369, claiming that the sale item was unavailable.

After insisting that we were only interested in the sale-priced co-sleeper, the salesperson suddenly "found" one in stock when she noticed that we were also looking at pricier strollers starting from $1000. We decided to hold off on purchasing a stroller to further research the market and proceeded to the checkout with the co-sleeper.

To our dismay, we were informed at the register that the displayed co-sleeper was supposedly reserved for another customer, and the in-stock model was actually priced at $369. This bait and switch tactic was absolutely disgraceful, and I am appalled to have encountered such dishonest practices in Canada. I cannot recommend this store to anyone and will not be returning.

I love westcoast kids, but this store is terrible. Customer service is horrible. Avoid with a 10 foot pole.
There is another WCK store uptown, go to that one instead.

Had a really great experience with super knowledgeable staff. I need to give a special thanks to Ethan who is both exceptionally knowledgeable as well as enthusiastic to help. I also want to acknowledge and thank Deana for her perspectives with the product, and helping us see how products will fit into our everyday lives. Hope to return back soon!

I’m giving this place a 1 star because of the terrible customer service. I had a gift purchased from my registry and delivered to my home. The fabric was totally different from what I picked out online. I was told it’s not their fault and it’s a problem with the manufacturer. The best they could do was offer me a 15% credit on that purchase. I’ve yet to receive anything.

First time visiting in store and I can’t believe how terrible the service was. It was not due to lack of staffing-saw more than 10 Sales Associates just on the first floor! My husband and I went in to look at purchasing a Stokke Tripp Trap high chair for our baby. We wanted to see them in person and ask all our questions to an expert.
Well, from the moment we walked in, we walked by at least 5 sales associates and not one welcomed us into the store or asked if we needed help with anything specific. There were 4 cashiers for one customer in line. We get into the high chair section-there is a small huddle in front of all the high chairs and they were all chatting away about the promos. We stood for at least 20 minutes looking at the different Stokke High Chairs and saw several employees walk by and not one came to us to ask if we needed help or if we had any questions about the high chairs. I grabbed the info booklet and told my husband we were leaving.
I couldn’t believe the type of service the store gave. It was our first time visiting and I was truly disappointed by the service. I immediately started looking for other places to purchase out high chair-somewhere that actually cares about service and are willing to help parents, parents to be or general customers.

I recently visited for the first time and probably not going to come again. I was so excited to visit hoping I would be able to ask questions but it seemed like I knew more than what they know about their products. I was told there was no shipping on strollers, when I had checked days before that they do ship. There was an offer to get a gift with purchase of a stroller but they were not aware of it. Although the staff weren’t the friendliest, the one who completed my purchase was patient. I would rather shop online then be treated like this.

My family is expecting twins, and I went into West Coast Kids looking for the perfect twin diaper bag. Sonia and Michela were so patient and helpful! They walked me through the store’s impressive selection, and were very thoughtful in pointing out various features and considerations. Thank you, Sonia and Michela!

Hands down my fav baby store in TO. Not only is the selection great but the service is wonderful! Weekends are super busy so I highly recommend going during the week - you will have the experts to yourself! Linda the stroller expert was amazing. I'd already purchased my stroller from marketplace but she gave me a lesson on operating it and taught me some key and super helpful tricks I didn't know! Deanna the car seat expert was lovely and helped me find the right infant seat for my first baby. Clara was a delight and helped with multiple questions as I navigated the store! Can't recommend this place and this amazing team enough for all your baby needs:)

I love this store! They have really unique, quality products - and the staff are wonderful! They’re super knowledgeable & friendly friendly. I bought the cutest crib from the Bayview location, and I love love love it. Definitely recommend!

Great service. Staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We spent 20 minutes with Linda as she educated on us on the features of UPPAbaby strollers. She took her time, answered our questions, and we were not rushed.

Such a poor customer experience. Product purchased on line as in store/stock and on pick up not available. Feel badly for the staff as the internet was down and they couldn't process transaction.

We visited WCK (Bayview) for the first time last weekend and were helped by ‘Susie’, in the furniture section. She’s knowledgeable, honest, and put our needs first over a quick sale (or upsell). She’s a big reason WCK will be our go to store for us as new parents. Moral of this review, go in and ask for Susie:)

Devon, Christina and the West Coast Kids Bayview team were incredible. We came in an hour before the store closed and had a long list of items to purchase. It was very busy but Devon and Christina helped us efficiently pull out all of our items, answered questions we had and offered to proactively order out of stock items. We could tell they have had a long day but the quality of their service was top notch. They helped us navigate the various sales available and were so kind and patient throughout our entire visit. They made what could have been easily a 3-4 hour shop to 1 hour and we walked out having a positive experience. Thank you so much!

Been working on creating my baby registry at West Coast and every time we’ve gone into the store it’s been a breeze! Especially yesterday, we were helped by Sonia and Desiree who spent quite a long time helping me choose a baby monitor, breast pump, linens, sleep sacks, a high chair, and many other products. Their expertise was invaluable in showing me a variety of options and I felt very confident with their recommendations. They never made me feel rushed and answered all our questions very thoroughly. Thank you Sonia and Des! I hope I’ll see you again soon!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Policies are set out so customers lose out on money, no one wants a store credit if they're not pleased with the service. Highly recommend this company to amend their policies going forward.

I was just today at West Coast kids on Bayview. They have the friendliest staff and I’d like to specifically mention Desiree, Zania and Abdullah, they are amazing people. It takes experience, but also a natural disposition to help through great empathy.

We are first time parents and having people taking the time to explain things to you makes everything better.

I was at a loss as to what to gift for a baby shower. The staff here were so helpful. Next baby shower I have I will be coming back.
