My dear Toronto residents, in this wonderful city I was born in, it has been the best decision in my life to move into West Lodge myself 9 years ago. We were saved by Hazel View Property management when they took ownership and completely revitalized such a masterpiece in architecture to such unbelievable lengths I had not in my wildest dreams ever imagined I could live in such peace amongst a community of such lovely respectful hard working people. It is an understatement to say that this project has been a huge success. I have worked closely with all prior property managers and have been overjoyed to have met Christina Gialousakis our PM of this welcoming, secure and safe environment that has truly come to be a gift for all to thrive and prosper our livelihoods. We thank you to all the staff working together your efforts have benefited so many people already.

I was looking for an apartment that suited my current needs and circumstances, and through a friend who connected me with the agent Moin, I was able to rent an apartment at 103/105 West Lodge Ave.
My comment is directed personally to thank Agent Moin Abrar, who is an empathetic human being of incredible character. He was the one who helped me with the contract for the apartment that I will soon be with my family. An excellent professional and very helpful, he has a lot of patience and quality education.
I am very grateful and satisfied with our new home.
I recommend the company Hazelview Properties, for its team of professional agents who in principle make comfort and good impression.
I don't have a clear opinion yet about the environment.
However, the area seems very practical, with parks, recreation area, close to schools, library, pool, supermarkets and TTC. Apparently, the condominium is made up of many immigrants from all over the world, and we will probably be exposed to diverse cultures. Which in my view, is a very positive point, for inclusion and learning.
As for security. I read a few reviews from years ago and was worried at first, but with the visits and the possibility of being around, I didn't feel unsafe. I can't say for sure!
So, for that, I can come back here in a rational period and leave my update if necessary.

Within two weeks, my neighbors stole 2 parcels from me. Security has not done anything yet. It's not very safe here, I don't recommend moving here. At the first opportunity I will leave

The management team at West Lodge are truly amazing. I have been speaking with Moin Abrar throughout the process of moving to this building and he has been extremely accommodating and helpful the entire time. I have never seen a building management as kind, patient and helpful as this one.
The building is also very clean and well maintained. It looks as though they are always working on something to update different parts of the building.

For the place it’s clean, good managed, helpful staff, nice views, and really fresh air.
The all processes took me only 48 hours.

I don’t recommend moving to these apartments. My partner and I have experienced the staff trying to enter our apartment twice without 24 hour notice. There is constant construction as they’re charging individuals cleaning fees upon moving out, but completely tearing apart the apartments to renovate them. We have also been putting in maintenance requests to have things in our apartment fixed and they don’t follow up with said requests. One week, they decided to fix the alleyway they have paid parking on. I had previously paid parking for the days they were doing construction. I reached out for a refund, but they never got back to me. I had to find other parking the entire day only to find out they weren’t doing construction and it was so they could have room for an event they were holding. We have had sketchy individuals at our door as well at ungodly hours of the morning which have made us nervous living here. We’re excited to move as this has been a horrendous renting experience.

Wanted to rent out a 1 Bed apartment and got in touch with Moin, the leasing agent for the building. He was helpful to show me two units, one was ready for handover and another where works of painting were ongoing. He was transparent about the additional charges (like parking) and indicative of possible bills. Since I have a 2 year old, he also suggested places that are around which my kid would like. Property, I understand is well maintained after Hazelview has taken over.

I will be moving into this property soon and our leasing agent Syed Hossain is very friendly and professional. He was very helpful through out the entire process of my application. I am glad to have known him.amazing person.thank you very much for everything Syed.

The place was convenient, and being under renovation theres a lot of improvement to look forward to. The agent Moin Abrar is quick to response on our inquiries and have been helpful throughout the whole process.

My partner and I are moving into 103 but the office operates out of 105.
A big shout out to Syed, he's the leasing king! He and the Hazelview team have been so accommodating, welcoming and I already feel like I am at home at 103.

Janvi did amazing Job with my rental application. She ensured the rental process was so smooth. I moved in 105 W Lodge Ave, and moving process was smooth and ensured by Janvi. I would recommend her for any new inquiries. She is the amazing.

To the new comers don't move in here. This place is noisy in the days they are always doing some kind of construction work. Its so noisy you can't even talk on the phone to your sisters in the day time. My son he works nights and can't even sleep in the day with all these noise. They come to our apartment to change some fuse box put a hole in the wall. One guy came a few days saying he needs to take out the cabinet and replace it with a new one. What is interesting is that this will affect my son from sleeping and going to work when they start this work. Last night my son work and he came home this morning the hot water isn't even on. Whenever you call the resident emergency line to complain about it you have to be on the phone for 40 mins. Just don't move in here if you know whats good for you.

I moved from Ottawa where I was a resident in one of the Hazelview's properties, so it was a no-brainer to again choose their property in Toronto (because of the great resident experience I had). The building is located in one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods of Toronto and is in close proximity to transit (GO, TTC), grocery stores, malls etc. The apartment I moved in is newly renovated with brand new appliances. Kudos to Janvi Bhanushali, my leasing agent, for making my move to a new home in a new city a pleasant experience. She assisted with all the important stuff from virtually viewing the apartment to filling in the application forms, and to finally helping the movers move my stuff to my apartment the day I arrived.

Very very bad environment. I literally is writing this on 12: 28am because they have been turning in the fire alarm for more than a half hour now, I’ve been trying to sleep and you know what they kept doing it as if they don’t think about the people who work early in the morning they don’t get many sleep. Not considerate at all I won’t ever stay there. Very annoying and bad. The alarm is still going on and you know what the sleep has left my eyes and it’s probably gonna take 1or more hour for me to get back to sleep because I don’t fall to sleep easily.

I’ve been living at 105 West Lodge since May 1st. My place is full renovated and confortable. Koreta was the person who helped me from the first moment when I rented the place and I have to say that she is always helpful answering my calls, requests and concerns, she is very nice and very kind.

A very good team of professionals work, all polite and kind people. We are happy to cooperate with Hazelview. Very good conditions for a quiet life, everything is clean, the place is good.

I have had an amazing experience with Syed. He was very helpful in every step of the way. I can see that the whole team is trying to make the living situation better for all. I have just moved into my apartment and looking forward to living there.

I have visited hundreds of buildings in Toronto, I've seen a fair amount of poor living conditions.

I will say, these buildings are the first and only time I truly felt there is structural concern/ safety for my life.

Adding to this,

Main entrance is closed.

All emergency entrance are open for anyone to walk in.

NO security guard on-site monitoring the building.

Courtyard is dark and sketchy past dark.

Questionable people wondering in the Courtyard.

Originally thought this was government housing, but the conditions are much worse.

Walls are literally crumbling apart in the common areas.

I'm 100% certain there's no housekeeping/cleaning service for the building.

I honestly feel for the people living in such terrible conditions.

The building should be evacuated, renovated or demolished and rebuild, after that then have tenants.

I was looking to move to a rental apartment and had previously visited 103 West Lodge to see my friends living there. This time i saw lots of improvements and renovations going on. The new management has undertaken to refreshing the buildings which definitely needed a uplift. They are doing good work and they are very responsive to any enquiry or assistance. I booked appointment and visited the building and the representative Syed helped me to visit the vacant apartments, he was very helpful in answering the questions i had and explained the future plan of the buildings. He assisted with all the changes i requested in the apartment and that made me make the decision quickly. The renovation has totally changed the looks of apartment.

YOUFA was absolutely great to work with. She contacted me back literally within five minutes of my leaving a message. She made herself available within the hour to show me the apartment. The viewing experience was top notch. She took her time to go over to Ben the smallest of details and made sure any questions I had were promptly answered and to my satisfaction. Her communication skills were of the best. I have only great things to say and she made my overall experience one that made me want to move into this building. For this reason I give a five star review. If there were more stars to give, she’s earned them too

Well I didn't even realize I gave a one star review. I didn't even realize I gave a review period. I was trying too see what the new apartments look like cause I've Herd great things about them.so I was looking for pictures of them I must of hit the one star buy mistake. I literally just got a notice thanking me for the review I didn't even mean to give.so on that note let me give my real review.since the new owners have taken over from the slum Lord's win family it's 100 times better in a lot of ways. They actually reply now when u fill out work orders they have dun a ton of work up grading the building newly refurbished elevator's and a lot more.the people that are in the offices in my building 105 are really nice seems like they generally care the people in the office in 103 are ok I've bumped heads with 2 of them but they I guess weren't really understanding what I was trying to explain but other then that they are fine. I really have no complaint's at all I actually really love my apt my view and for the most part the people that live here are really nice. I mean there a couple bad apples but you will never find a building any where in the world were you like every single person that lives there. I think this building has a bad rap from previous owners that the new owners are having a hard time shaking it's unfortunate cause they are really trying hard to change these buildings and there great building's. Well that's the most honest I can be giving my review I didn't even plan on giving I hope it helps. Don't believe everything you read on these reviews most of them are from when the old slum lord owners had these buildings and they were horable people the new owners are nothing like them so yea any ways that's it. I give a 4 stars cause I never give any one a full set of stars lol don't no why.

Moved there after a shelter stay. Left in 3 months. Most disgusting place I had ever lived in. Never mind the management, neighbours totally behaved like bottom feeders. Just raze the buildings down.

I rated this place 5 stars but now I've realized that Timber creek bought this building because its in a good area and they're evicting people and making the building better and raising the rent for rich people I'm gonna have to give you lot a 1 star rating. DONT COME HERE RICH PEOPLE

Ok, so it has been 4 months since I moved in. My apartment was fully renovated, brand new kitchen with appliances, bathroom and stuff. I disagree with people saying there are a lot of parties going on. I lived there whole summer and all nights are pretty quiet and nothing much is happening.

Regarding bugs. Everybody knows, no matter how clean you are - it all depends on you neighbors. If they don't care - you're in trouble. I keep my apartment very clean and didn't have pest issues yet, however, I see roaches in the hallway, or on the stairwells sometimes.

Overall, it's not a bad building to live in.

This place is so nasty. Neighbors steal packages left in front of my door.the hallways always smell like dog urine.plus the building is infested with bedbugs and cockroaches. It is a scary building at night and on the weekend. Cant wait till I finish my 1 year lease and leave. DO NOT RENT THERE. I am so glad to be moving north of Toronto.
