West Mall Outdoor Rink

The team work there is great. Yesterday we visited this place. My unique suggestion is, when there are more younger guys (teenagers) ; it's necessary supervise because it's danger for small children, family or new person starting in this activity.
Another suggestion is, put this group in special hour or when this place stay alone.
I really appreciate the actions of the team yesterday with respect to this situation.

It's a really bigger rink so lots of space to maneuver. Also not busy after kids go home to bed so you often get the rink almost to yourself if you go later.

The outdoor rink is pretty well maintained, albeit quite disorganized for shinny (it turned into a 7vs7 game with people taking 10min shifts). Also the mandatory helmets for hockey made it a lot less enjoyable. Shinny with no equipment is essentially glorified skating already, so if helmets aren’t mandatory for skating I don’t see why it should be mandatory for hockey.

It used to be our favorite go to rink all these years with few people until this year. It's so over crowded and not good for skating after an hour use. Some of us almost broke our teeth n heads because of the huge dents all over the rink. Ofcorse I'll take pictures next time i drop for the 100th time lol.

Book online and have a safe, separate skate with about 20 ppl total.
Check in is a breeze, benches outside to change into your skates, and even some spectator muskoka chairs.
Bring a blanket and a hot cocoa if you're not skating and just watching the fun.

Another wonderful spot to get in a skate! Two rinks. One full time shinny and one full time pleasure!

Good fun with a good crowd. Ice is ok as expected with a public outdoor rink. Only wish they had more open adult shinny times

Outdoor skating rink is always well maintained for as long as possible in the season. Would appreciate some extra sitting areas outside along the outside of the rink.

Found a gem! Such a nice rink, went there at night and barely crowded which I'm surprised, but I liked it. The ice was a bit choppy but it was around closing time I went, so they probably went through the ice already.

Of course there's always going to be a lot of people, but if you go a little later there's more room

Great rink to play. One ice pad for skating and one for ice hockey. I just wish the private rentals were updated online as I have come hoping to play but then told we couldn't.

Ice conditions were great, washrooms inside with warm changing area. Rink social was cherry on top.
