When I needed a new GP in 2019, I was so careful, having had bad experiences with my last 2 family physicians. I was gun-shy, to say the least. From my initial meet and greet with Dr. Santdasani, I felt more comfortable than I think I’ve felt with any other doctor ever. I cannot express how grateful I am to have found such a warm, knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate individual to be my doctor. Dr. S.is very thorough - whatever issue I’ve brought to him is investigated and I never feel dismissed. These include effects from a car accident, 2 significant medical events, and mental health issues. Hand in hand with that was a chronic struggle maintaining a healthy weight. My previous GP was not ‘mental health-friendly’ and I often felt embarrassment and even shame. Not so with Dr. Santdasani. Under his care, I’ve reached and maintained lofty goals in physical and mental health, as well as a healthy weight loss. I would say I’ve never been treated with more respect by a medical professional, and I can also say I feel the best I’ve felt in all areas, in probably 20 years.

Dr. Santdasani has an excellent bedside manner. He’s soft-spoken and I feel like he’s personally invested in my well-being. It’s easy to see that he is simply a nice and caring individual who is in the perfect profession for him.

I don’t know why the office has negative reviews. All the office staff have shared the same caring, helpful attitudes. I’ve had to try to get short notice appointments more than once and they are always very accommodating. I never feel rushed and I feel like I matter to them - something that isn’t easy to find in this profession anymore. They’ve been extremely helpful when I’ve required documentation, including when there were complications. In all my experiences, they too have been warm, patient, and happy to help.

My only complaint is that it took me this long to find them! Of course, chemistry is part of the success in a doctor-patient relationship, and Dr. Santdasani’s unique qualities go well with what I need in a physician. The core qualities he possesses, namely compassion, competence, and excellent people skills, leave me believing that it would be difficult for almost anyone not to have as excellent an experience as I have with him.

Thank you Dr. Santdasani and West Oak Medical. Having had bad experiences with 2 family physicians, and being a person with some ongoing issues, I can’t express how much peace of mind it brings me to have a doctor I feel very comfortable with, I trust, and who I feel so well taken care of. The field needs more Dr. Santdasanis.

The receptionist lady “Mylene” is very rude and unprofessional. Absolute garbage personality.

Our appointment with Dr. Mohammed was cancelled 2 times. First appointment was made and necessary arrangements were made then they call 2 weeks before and cancel it. So then made the second appointment and necessary arrangements were made and they again called 2 weeks before and cancelled it. Second appointment was cancelled in May and rescheduled to October, 5 months later.

The worst part is that the receptionist lady “Mylene” was very rude and unprofessional on the phone. When I asked for a different date for the 3rd attempt of making an appointment, she was showing a lot of attitude and was unwilling to work with me to find a date that would work for us.

If i could post a 0 star I would. 1 star is the lowest it goes.

First off, my issue with the Dr.

I had a different neurologist who went on maternity leave, she was great. Before leaving she said I had no indications of epilepsy. Then she had her baby and sent me to this guy. This guy, looking at the same 3 tests, said in his OPINION i was actually epileptic.because of one issue that happened after the 1st neurologist where even the hospital said there were 0 markets to indicate a seizure. But without even seeing me in person he decided it WAS a seizure (even though medical tests said otherwise).

After MONTHS of no follow up.

I contacted reception today to make an appt. A "hey Dr. I've literally never taken this medication and haven't had any other seizures, can you PLEASE actually diagnose me" appt. She said there was a LOOONG waitlist.i said OK.

BUT. The reception has no record of my being a patient, even though I had an appointment with Dr. Mohammad in September where he prescribed me medication (that has his name on it). They believe their records and said I'm not a patient, even though again I have physical evidence of being his patient. I have not received any follow ups from them since being prescribed this medication, even though at the appt he said he would follow up.

When I got upset that my DOCTORS OFFICE HAS NO RECORD OF ME, I was told I was being emotional, the receptionist yelled at me, and hung up on me. The clinic manager was there when I called back (and had to give a fake name since the receptioinist would just hang up if I said my real name) and refuse to take a complaint against the receptionist, for YELLING AT ME AND HANGING UP

Overall, if I Had ANY OPTIONS I would go there. But with Neurologists you really don't have options, you go where they send you. I hope to god nobody else gets sent here because they will not get any help.

And still, after almost an hour on the phone with them I still do not have an appt.

My son was referred by our pediatrician to Dr Sam. I called his office after 3 weeks to ask if there is any update regarding his appointment and I was told they didn't even receive our referral. I called my pediatrician office right away to ask when did they send original referral and they confirmed it was sent 3 weeks ago on the day we visited them. Anyway, I asked them to re fax to Dr Sam's office. After that I called Dr Sam office to ask for the confirmation of the fax and they confirmed that it is received and I will get a call in a week about the appointment. A week later, I called them back as I didn't receive any call. I was being told that NO referral is received for my son. I was shocked and confronted them that its not true and you guys confirmed last week referral fax. I was told to ask my pediatrician to Re fax it. Aarrgghh.here I am still waiting for the referral fax after 24 days. Dr Sam's office is terrible and very unorganized. After wasting whole month, I went back to my pediatrician and asked them to refer my son to any other specialist except Dr Sam as I can't deal with his non sense office.

Dr. Sam, Andrew is hands down the worst doctor I’ve ever experienced. I would not recommend anyone put themselves through any sort of appointment with him especially involving children. Extremely self righteous, does not listen to patients, demeaning and straight up unprofessional.

We used to be patients of Dr. Johnson / three years. We've been never waiting in a line, she was very pleased and confident. Also, if we needed emergency visit we always had it, sometimes with other doctor if Dr. Johnson wasn't available immediately. She is my favourite doctor in that area. Highly recommended her.

The Doctor's are are good it's to bad the receptionist are unfriendly it seems like they can't wait until their day is over which is unfortunate because your not feeling well and this is the first impression you get.
