West-Way Taxi

Number 271 has a customer in the back and can barely see over the steering wheel. He didn’t check his mirrors on a double turn almost hitting me. Then he decides to go even faster almost hitting me again, within 1”, just to get to the left turn on Sussex. The best is when they pretend as if nothing happened. Putting his passengers life in danger and mine. This guy is a liability and should be checked to see if he actually knows how to drive?

The cab was on time, clean and roomy, had lots of room for my walker. The driver was kind, polite and helpful.

Two bad experiences in a row, I will never take west way taxi ever. My daughter waited an hour and a half fir taxi to pick her up at school, they ended up giving the fare to Capital taxi, and today, I waited for more than 40 minutes in the scorching heat with my groceries, but said it would only take 5 to 8 minutes.

I've used west way dozens of times. The drivers are nice and try their best to get you where you need to be quickly. (I lost my license temporarily due to heart conditions) But the other day I called and was left hanging for an hour and a half. I called again and the office again replied it will be 7 to 10 minutes.and I waited. I decided to walk. Made it home, showered, made supper and call the West Way office. No one cared! No I'm terribly sorry! No compensation! No I'll look into this! I'm going Uber from this point forward. I'm done dealing with companies that don't give a damn!

If I could leave a minus review I would. Last Friday my sister booked a wheelchair cab to go out for dinner. Neither my sister nor my husband and myself are from Ottawa. He picked us up at the Ottawa General hospital where she is recovering at present. Dropped us off at the restaurant. When we came out after dinner my sister called and we waited, and we waited…two hours later we finally braved the transit system. No alternative. It then took us, two adults in their 70’s and a woman in a wheelchair another two hours to navigate the system and get back to the hospital. West way and blue line appear to be dispatched by the same person and are completely irresponsible. To abandon a paraplegic to an unknown is unethical to say the least.

Have been calling westway for a number of years. Will never deal with them again. Had a complaint and the girl/woman who answered was not interested in what had transpired. Lost a loyal cutomer. Would not have even given 1 star but couldn't post until I posted one.

I arranged an evening pickup in Kanata to go to the airport. Flawless service and super friendly driver. Excellent and would definitely use WestWay again. Thank-you.

Many Westway Taxi drivers have no manners, unprofessional and their cars have a really bad smell and very dirty from inside.

Drivers don't care about the clients. They do not provide the proper care and service to their clients with physical and non physical disabilities.

Great experience. As I am moving away from apps and smart phones in general I prefer a taxi any day.
