Exceptional expertise and care. Incredibly helpful and compassionate. For many years the Westboro Animal Hospital has been providing us with spot-on diagnoses and treatment for our pets based on their wealth of experience rather than over-relying on expensive tests. It is very much thanks to them that our animals have had such long and healthy lives.

We brought our dog in to see Dr. Cameron after he had a cyst burst. From the moment we walked in the doors we felt comfortable with the care. The reception staff were friendly. Dr. Cameron walked us through the treatment and 3 weeks later our dog is healed. Highly suggest this vet!

Dr. Cameron, Dr. Sime and the staff at Westboro Animal Hospital have cared for my beautiful GSP Beau for some time, and I simply would not take him anywhere else. Everyone is professional, helpful, compassionate and very friendly. They genuinely love animals, and they have Beau's best interests at heart. They take the very best and most loving care of my little guy, and that means the world to me. I know he is in good hands.

I’ve been bringing my fur babies to Westboro Animal Hospital for over 20 years.
All of the vets, vet techs and front desk staff I’ve met over the years have been very friendly, considerate and helpful. Dr. Cameron has been our primary vet at WAH since 2002.
I recently brought my senior kitty Ferah there for an ultrasound as she was losing weight and not eating. Dr. Cameron was incredibly caring, professional, and honest with me. It was determined that the lump was lymphoma and should come out. I was very anxious a couple days before surgery, and he spent a lot of time on the phone with me going through my concerns, and explaining all the details of what to expect. He always goes the extra mile to make sure both the client and pet receive the utmost care. He even followed up with me post surgery on his vacation, to see how Ferah was doing.
Ferah was in the best hands possible with Dr. Cameron and his staff at Westboro.
Thanks to them I have more time with my little girl.

The staff are so welcoming and patient. They go above and beyond to help their clients as was the case today - to save me another trip to the clinic they’ve sent someone to the local pharmacy to get a med for my dog that they didn’t have in stock. Talk about excellent service!

Dr Cameron is so knowledgeable and personable. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and answers them in all. M He explains things well and is direct about costs of procedures or meds and always advises you of the most cost effective way of getting the health care and medications that your pet needs. I like that he lays out a plan of action before the end of the visit and you know where you stand for next steps of treatment.

Todays experience was no different. After discussing the issues and taking Molly’s vitals he picked up on something that I had asked my previous vet about (and was dismissed). She will soon start a medication to hopefully help slow the progression of the issue.

I’m confident that we’re doing what’s best for my dog. We’ve done the diagnostics needed and are waiting for the results to move forward.

Dr Cameron and the team are the best! They always provide exceptional care. Even though we have moved out of Ottawa, Dr Cameron still takes care of my animals. To give the latest example, my dog had an abscess and had surgery last week. We used the local vet for this service. However, when the bacterial culture came back, it turns out it was resistant one which needed a special antibiotic. There was none available in the Aylmer area and the vet said we should try Ottawa. I asked her to try calling Westboro Animal hospital, and sure enough they had the meds. DrCameron worked on the prescription and had it ready in hours. Rest assured, your animal will always be looked after - for life! Thanks Westboro Animal hospital!

My family and I have been taking our pets here for years. The team there is always so kind, professional, and provide exceptional care for your pets. I highly recommend the practice to anyone looking for the best possible care for their pets. The staff is helpful and friendly. They take the time to explain what the problems are and what the prognosis is likely to be.

Not a great experience. We had been using this vet for about 20 years when my husband had a dispute with his office staff. Dr Cameron dumped our dog and cats as patients. I had been taking the animals to their appointments and paying the vet, too, and I had never had a dispute with his office, and could have continued to do so if Dr Cameron didn’t want to see my husband. I should have guessed that women with male partners don’t count / don’t exist when the office assigned only my husband’s last name to our animals (though at the time, I thought it was cute).

I’ve brought my dog here for year. They are amazing My biggest memory is watching the vet carry out a giant golden in his arms so cute. Your pet is in good-no great hands. The vet tech as well are angels. I just can’t give enough praise for this business

I absolutely love Westboro Animal Hospital. I can say that the above and beyond treatment that they have shown me has literally saved my 2 dogs. They (all the staff and Dr.that have seen my dogs) are always able to discuss all concerns and treatment options so that I fully understand. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone who has a pet and wants exceptional treatment.

Offer a great service especially during covid they follow community guidelines, and offer a great service despite restrictions.

They are very clear about what services they are offering, they do not push anything, and communicate any issues clearly, and give clear solutions and steps.

I would trust no one more with my cat, who is not even scared of going to visit them, because they have been so good to him.

If anyone needs a vet - I gotta say - you can’t do better than the Westboro Animal Hospital! I have been with them forever (my family dogs growing up we’re all cared for there as well). Brewtus has needed ongoing meds since his surgery in November and they never even charge me for phone calls and emails to keep Brew feeling good. They don’t insist on seeing him because they know he’s old and it’s stressful. Dr Cameron patiently takes my calls all the time and cares so much about my little best friend. ️

I highly recommend Dr Cameron and the Westboro Animal Hospital to all pet owners. I have had many Dogs and Vets. Dr Cameron is hands down the most caring Vet I've ever met and a great person. Our little dog is a rescue and an older dog. Dr Cameron has done so much for us we can't thank him enough. He really cares about your pet:)

My little chihuahua Mr. Buzz had dental work done in April 2020 and though I couldn’t be there with him, Dr. Sime and her team kept me informed throughout the procedure. Any concerns I had afterwards, they were quick to my/his aid. Dr. Sime even helped me find a softer food that Buzz will actually eat. Super helpful and caring team over there!

All the vets here are wonderful, but our favourite is Dr. Sime - she is the kindest and most compassionate vet. When our cat was at home in comfort care, she consistently checked in with us and was endlessly patient with all of our questions. She really cares about her patients and helped us feel comfortable with tough decisions near the end. We are forever grateful <3

I called Westboro animal hospital in a panic when I found a tick on my dog. They were very helpful and talked me out of a serious panic, providing lots of advice and details about medications. If I lived in the city, I would definitely take my dog to them. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about the staff here. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Dr. Ian Cameron really cares about you and your pets and will take all the time to address your questions and concerns. I have also seen Dr. Karen SIme and she is amazing as well. I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place that actually cares about the animals they see everyday.

Though in theory it would be a difficult place to het to and find parking, it is far from that. Great location with designated parking for the clinic. Awesome friendly staff and very knowledgeable.

Ian treats and focuses on each and every fur child as if it was his. Top notch dedication and compassion.

I was in charge of care for a rescue dog who had been in a fight and had severe wounds and infection. Initially we worked with a very skilled surgeon at the emergency clinic. Things went well at first but Noah hit a roadblock in his healing. We approached Dr. Cheryl Laite and Dr. Ian Cameron about joining the team to help find a solution to all of the problems. Long story short I was blown away by how amazing they were. It was incredible to see the 2 doctors and vet techs working together like a well oiled machine. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable but even right down to the personalities. Dr. Laite’s empathy combined with Dr. Cameron’s positivity was exactly what we needed. I had been lost, frustrated and didn’t know what to do but even after our first visit I knew we were in the right hands. Dr Laite basically made herself available at all times for any questions I had (and I had lots) which decreased my stress level but also allowed me to provide perfect care at home just by following instructions. The attached picture shows progress from day 1 (note the swollen sutures for bandaging) to the final picture being 2 weeks later. I never expected it to heal so well and so fast. They attribute the fast healing to the laser therapy and Manuka honey they used but I give them full credit for the success.

VERY EXPENSIVE, major service fee added to bill if you get prescriptions filled elsewhere (drug stores and online are usually much cheaper)

I have been going to this clinic for over 5 years now and I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff. We are always in good hands. Dr. Ian Cameron goes above and beyond for the animals in his care.

When I first moved to Ottawa I had yet to find a vet and my poor little guy needed immediate surgery after hours I went to another clinic in town and they quoted me over 6k for this. I was a student at the time there was no way I could afford this. I was beside myself. So I reached out through my social media and someone recommended Westboro Animal Hospital. They knew Dr. Cameron so they sent him a msg and give him my number. He called me immediately and told me not too worry and to meet him at his clinic. He took such good care of my dog and saved his life. I am forever greatful to him and his team.

If you are looking for honest, trustworthy, and a professional clinic that are their for the animals and not for the money look no further. They have you covered!

Dr. Karen Sime is fantastic. She truly loves working with animals and you can see that the minute she walks into the office and greets your little fur baby. My 15 week old puppy is going through his shy stages and can be quite nervous around strangers. As this was his third vet visit (the previous two were done with his old owners at another office) I was feeling anxious to how he would react to the setting. My worries were instantly put at ease the moment we walked in from the woman at reception to meeting the Dr in the clinic room. A positive attitude goes a long way and Dr. Karen Sime possesses some great skills that can't be taught. Thank you for the great services. I'd never thought I'd say this but I think my dog loves the vet!

My sister, a single mother who just moved to a new city woke up to a very sick dog today. This office clearly cares more about the animals than their bottom line and went above and beyond to help my sister get the care her puppy needed even tho is was well over what she could afford. I’m so grateful for them for making her impossible week a little bit easier by being so generous and kind and caring. Amazing.

I took my elderly dog here because of a urinary tract infection and mid check up the vet who was examining my dogs ear? Tells me her ears need cleaning with a special solution and then arranged for two teenagers dressed up in lab coats to "demonstrate" how to clean the dogs ears. This demo took five minutes and they charged me over 250$ for the demonstration.
At no time did the vet mention there would be an extra cost for this demo or o would have refused. My dog has no ear problems and my current vet doesn't know what Westboro was seeing or treating but nothing is wrong with her ears. The second thing I didn't think was very cool is right after asking me why I brought my dog in, the vet starts cuddling and kissing my dog telling her how cute she is. Nice guy n all but I'm trying to give important information about the symptoms I've noticed so that he can form some sort of opinion on a diadnosis.and dude isn't listening to me at all. I should have left right there and then.
I won't go on about the drama in the waiting room but, the lack of professionalism was mind blowing.
My current vet is hilarious and often jokes around but never speaks over me while I'm giving him the reason for my visit. In fact he's usually typing what I'm telling him in my pets file at that point.
I really think they should have explained the price and asked if I agreed to that demonstration thing.

Took very good care of our new dog with surgery and post op needs and care was very well explained.

Dr. Cameron is a great vet, would recommend. Overall friendly service, only improvement they could make is be more organized
