The manager I call nasty Diane is difficult and if you don't agree with her she will tell you not to come back. Had this issue with her and my next visit was refused. Found the doctors very pleasant and cared. Spoke to one employee in the Metro one day and was told Diane is hard to work with. I wasn't surprised.

I've had 5 dogs in my life, I've seen different vet's and clinics. My present dog and previous one have come to this clinic. I've also read the hundreds of reviews for this clinic, they are amazing with the exception of 3 or 4. You can't please everyone, it's impossible. This clinic is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for in this world today. Dr. Korol and the entire staff are amazing, go see for yourself. If you're wondering NO l don't work there, or related to anyone there, or even know anyone there.

I don't usually do reviews and this one is years late. As I am noticing the importance of reviews as of lately I am taking the time to provide reviews of places I've had experiences with.

For 6 years now Westway Animal Clinic has been my goto place ever since my furr baby came into my life. The staff here is truly nice and caring. They genuinely do care for all pets that come in. I've noticed over the years the level of passion they have for what they do. Every visit has been wonderful and my buddy loves coming in for "free treats" lol.

Although short on staff, wait times on phone occasionally, they always return voicemail inquiries and email requests. There appointment process is very organized, special orders are always great. Also a great place to ask unanswered questions and they get back to you once they know or with a recommendation.

Again, with limited staff over the years, still increasing with busyness, and all the changes over the years has been great for myself and my furry buddy. For the 6 years I've been with them, I will drive from Brampton just to visit.

It's true when you find service that stands out, you keep coming back. I understand that often times 1 bad experience detours us, but a second chance might be worth the risk, within reason. We all have bad days. Don't let the one bad day detour you.

I cannot express enough gratitude to the wonderful staff at Westway Animal Clinic. Our beloved JULIE was very sick and we came to this clinic for the second opinion. The care and compassion that we received from the moment we called to inquire was absolutely phenomenal. Dr. Korol and support staff were all incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind throughout the entire process, and they went above and beyond to make sure that our cat was comfortable and well taken care of.

Even though the outcome was not what we had hoped for, I felt reassured and comforted by the expertise and attention to detail that the clinic provided. The follow-up care and communication during this difficult time was exceptional, and I truly felt like our cat and our family were treated with the utmost respect and empathy.

I highly recommend this animal clinic to anyone who is looking for top-notch veterinary care and genuine compassion during a difficult time. Thank you, Dr. Korol, for your unwavering dedication to animals and their families.

I was referred to this clinic by the shelter I got my dog from and have been coming here ever since (approx 6-7 years?) They have always been extremely accommodating, even considering COVID difficulties. We've been encouraged to bring our dog in whenever we want for a simple weigh in, free of charge, and they always pencil us in for a time slot without any other dogs present. The staff always shower my dog with affection and treats, so you can tell that everyone is really happy to be there. My dog has had no shortage of issues but they have always been resolved thanks to the Westway staff's care. Recently, my dog was diagnosed with luxating patella and her condition was regressing. I asked them about surgery, xrays, physio, etc that I was totally willing to do but the vet gave me some simple instructions for aftercare and non invasive supplements and she is now back to her normal self, no relapse in condition. They are always honest about cost and efficacy of treatment, and probably saved me hundreds or thousands in physio/chiro, surgery, AND x-rays as a result. I really appreciate the clinic and their staff, and will continue to bring my pet (s) here, I recommend others to do so as well.

Absolutely disgusted with the lack of service and respect I was given from westway animal clinic. Gave my dog nexguard when I very clearly told them I absolutely did not want my 2 month old puppy to have it. When I raised my concerns I was told well we can’t take it back and still had to pay for it. This should have been my first indicator that the clinic doesn’t care about my dog and only sees dollar signs. I was mislead a month ago that if I had a phone conversation appointment that was paid for (again $$$ signs) that my family dog can get the medication he needs in order to not loose his vision fully. As he is partially blind he is very anxious and taking him into a clinic is simply not an option. The clinic knows his history and is very aware of this and guided me to have the phone appointment which I did without hesitation to only find out this would give me the medicine for a month. This was not honestly discussed with me and why would anyone pay for an appointment to get medication needed daily for life for only 30 days? I wouldn’t have wasted my $70 on a 5 minute phone call if I knew I would be stuck 30 days later with no medicine for my dog. They lied to me and said they told me it would be for one time. Straight up lied in the dog report as I 100% know this was not said. After being told how crucial it is to be diligent with the one time a day administration of the drops to stay on top of it they have now left me with my hands tied and refusing to give me the medicine. When I asked to speak to Dr. Korol I was told he doesn’t talk to clients and there is no way for me to speak to him. As someone who runs a small business in Etobicoke this is simply unethical. Bad business not to be able to speak to the owner of a small business when management is not able to help. Without my money my vet is refusing to have a civil conversation with me. I was then told we have never had a healthy relationship and for me to take my business elsewhere. This clinic is full of greed and blatant disregard to both clients and patients. Just look at the reply they will post to this review. There is a pattern where they only reply to the negative reviews and never the positive ones as they don’t even care about the people who praise this joke of a clinic. The response is that they will discuss the matter personally yet I was told no we don’t care go take your business elsewhere. Gladly Diana, you have a bitter attitude and poor management skills to say the least.

My 3 cats have seen both Dr. Korol’s and they have always made it such a positive experience for not only my kittens but my family as well. The whole team is always so kind and ready to help whether it be for our food orders, our appointments or any questions we have! We can never thank them enough!

I can’t say enough how much I love Dr Korol! He is very knowledgeable and experienced doctor. This is not just a “money making” clinic, your pets health comes first! My dog has been a patient there for years! We had dental surgery, mass removal surgery, skin condition- and every time we had the best experience. Also he saved my moms cat when other doctor said there was nothing he could do. Thank you Dr Korol and all staff members who have always been very professional and sweet and caring ️

Dr. Korol is very attentive and carrying. My dogs are delighted to meet him and his friendly staff. He clearly explains what is absolutely necessary in terms of tests and procedures, and what is nice to have but not mandatory.

For 12 years I have depended on Westway Animal Clinic for all of my pets’ routine health maintenance and for more serious matters. From the caring and courteous receptionists, the helpful assistants and technicians, the kind and compassionate office manager, and the care provided by the dedicated doctors, everyone goes above and beyond to provide excellent medical care at this practice. I highly recommend Westway Animal Clinic!

I’m a dog mama for the last 17 years. For the last 6 of them we are clients of Dr Korol. From the very 1st visit with my 12 years old Black Russian Terrier who has many health problems, to the last visit with my two 5 years old babies, who are hand fulls, Dr Korol and his team were always kind, patient, friendly, attentive, understanding, professional and caring. They always are there for you and your fur babe when you need them. They support and heal not only animals but also their human parents. Those incredible individuals are The Good People. They deserve all the respect and kindness that they provide to each and every of their clients.

Having just moved to Toronto last fall, I was a bit nervous about finding a new vet but my pup and I really lucked out with Westway Animal Clinic! The women working here are superstars. Kind, friendly, and considerate. Our first appointment was informative, every step was clearly outlined ahead of time, and I was given information about all preventative care options so I could make the best choice for my pup. 100% recommend.

It's an emergency because the dog got hurt, but I don't care at all.
Doctors dealing with life should not do this.

The dog was refused treatment without checking the condition of the injured dog.
It was first visit and no reservations,
so my dog was in emergency.
Accidents are unannounced and can't be scheduled.
If my dog got hurt a lot, wouldn't it be possible to die?

Westway Animal Clinic has the best service all around from booking an appointment to leaving the clinic. The staff are all nice, friendly and explain everything that is needed. Being a first time dog owner we had lots of questions and everyone at the clinic helped us with open arms. We have been to the clinic numerous times and each time is a top quality experience. Can’t wait to bring Cooper in for his check ups, vaccines and anything needed! I recommend this clinic to all my friends that have pets

I normally don’t write reviews for clinics, but the experience I had at WestWay was too good not to share. So I have a cat named Gnocchi, and he’s been a patient at WestWay since he was a tiny baby. Of course, every time I’ve gone to get his vaccines, boosters, check ups and one-time worm removal, the staff have been nothing but accommodating, nurturing, and extremely knowledgeable. They answered every question I had about my little baby — and I had a lot, especially because I’m a first time pet owner. But this last week, Gnocchi had what I would consider a medical emergency. He’s not the best jumper. He tried to jump onto the bathroom sink vanity and absolutely crunched himself into the edge. He was limping all night, all morning and I called the clinic to explain the situation. They booked me in immediately, and saw Gnocchi first thing the next morning. Everyone was so diligent, especially Dr. Scarlett, who was so accommodating to Gnocchi’s anxiety and pain. I knew that Gnocchi was in the best hands. I recommend WestWay to all my family and friends who have little fur babies. There’s no one I trust more than the staff and doctors here.

Very attentive clinic, we take our two cats there and they are very gentle and caring. I typically pick up fresh food regularly, order is always ready for me. Appointments are easy to book and the hours are super flexible and clinic is rarely close. Would definitely recommend to others

Quite possibly the worst clinic in Ontario. Overpriced and the place is so unwelcoming, EVERY single time. From the staff to the doctors. Everyone hates their lives and their job and it shows. How can you hate being around animals? Mind boggling! DO NOT bring your pets here!

My husband called on a Saturday morning looking for some help with our puppy who had an eye infection. Spoke with Meeka their receptionist who stated the soonest they could get us in was the following Friday. We advised that waiting a week with an eye infection likely would be detrimental to the dog (I’m not a doctor but I certainly don’t think anyone would disagree) - we asked if she could speak to the vet and at least provide some similar eye drops to the ones we’d had about a month before - then we could try and see if we could get in for an appointment during the week - she advised she would try to speak to the doctor but couldn’t be sure she’d have time or a chance and wouldn’t be able to get back to us until 5 pm (ish) the same time they closed. Her alternative solution was “maybe try to find another clinic”. Keep in mind - theyre about 2 feet away from the doctor at any given time in the day.

I called back to see if I could clear up what I assumed was a misunderstanding and was instead met with a rude condescending tone from her, as well as being told she wasn’t sure when she’d speak to the vet and so she didn’t want to make any “false promises”. It’s funny in a way, because I’d received such awesome help from their other receptionist Ashley previously I was literally shocked and extremely disappointed by this behaviour - not solution based, not supportive and certainly NOT keeping my dogs health as the priority.
After expressing these concerns to her the receptionist hung up on me - as I was mid sentence asking for the managers name to see if she could assist.

I waited a few minutes and called back again as I was really concerned for my dog and her eye sight as well as the utter disrespect and complete disregard for myself as a customer (a fairly happy to pay whatever you ask and think is reasonable) type customer.

Again I was met with a rude condescending tone, and being told she had not hung up on me? If I was mid sentence and you disconnected the call I’m fairly sure that’s being hung up on. At this point she told me she’d spoken with the vet but “ I guess you don’t want to know what they said”. I stated yes I’d like the medical information regarding my pet as well as confirmation her office manager would be calling me Monday. She refused to provide either - literally withholding my own pet’s medical information from me? Unprofessional was the word I used to describe her actions - and again she hung up the call.

At this point someone else Andrea called back to let me know they’d spoken with the vet and did I want the update - yes of course I do and I stated as well as confirmation that the manager would be in contact - she advised I obviously did not want the medical information and that calling their staff unprofessional was not how they liked to be treated - thanked me and hung up.

Monday afternoon I had a lengthy conversation with Diana the office manager who essentially confirmed: 1) these staff members did not live up to nor did they provide the level of service she expects from them as well that I had received previously from other staff members 2) the health and well being of my pet was (supposed) to be their priority - and that for whatever reason this was not the case in their actions Saturday 3) she essentially felt that her staff had done nothing wrong (despite #1&2) and that (as per Saturday’s receptionist initial suggestion) maybe best we find another clinic.

I am more than happy to go to another vet who actually lives up to #1 and #2, and an office manager who is willing to at least consider their staff provided sub-par service to a customer rather then blaming the customer oh and not really being invested in the animals well being or care - after all - her first question/comment wasn’t even about how the puppy or her eye was - so guess that was another “false promise”.

The vets and some staff here were excellent, it’s unfortunate that these handful of people are not.

I've brought my dog several times to the clinic. The reception staff are incredibly caring and accommodating and go out of their way to provide prompt and courteous service. Dr. Korol and Andrea have shown great care and patience. I know that when I drop off my dog he's in exceptional hands. I would highly recommend this vet clinic.

Recently switched over to Westway Vet based on recommendations and so glad we did. Whether it's during an appointment or calling in, staff have been very helpful each time answering all our questions as we are first time pet owners.

They have an online form to fill out before your first appointment and I think that's so much better than spending 10 mins on the phone, hoping the other person hears me clearly (so many time my name is written down wrong).

If you are looking for a new vet I would definitely recommend based on my experience so far.

We had an emergency appointment with Westway over the weekend after our dog got lost in a national park. She emerged with some scratches and shallow cuts, limping. They were able to squeeze us in, which was good. They assessed our dog and cited the possibility of her having many, many different issues (possible chest trauma, blood clotting, bruised gums). They quoted us $1,100 for multiple x-rays and blood tests even though they stated that chest trauma would not necessarily show up on an x-ray so soon after the incident. They made us really panicked and I felt like they were preying on our vulnerability. They told us her heart sounded "muffled" and her lungs "weren't clear". When we went to our regular vet today she said that a muffled heart or not so clear lungs were due to our dog being anxious and that her heart and lungs were totally fine. Our regular vet gave us more pain medication and told us to monitor her leg versus jumping to do expensive x-rays. We did not appreciate the escalation and attempt at scamming us out of $1100 unnecessarily. Beware!

Dr. Longrigg is amazing! We brought our 7.5 week old Italian Greyhound in for a visit and she covered all the bases and gave us really excellent information. As new pup owners we were nervous, but she made it an amazing experience and we feel now feel confident and in charge!

Brought my cat Dante here for some itching issues he's been having, I called ahead of time and Diana was so so pleasant in helping me schedule an appointment asap.

Once we got in, the protocols in place for COVID made me feel super safe and not overwhelmed at all, just the standard stuff you'd have to do anywhere.

I feel so bad, I can't remember the vets name, but she was so informative and kind about what we were dealing with and made me feel like Dante was in great hands, and he seems to be doing better with his itch!

I don't know too much about clinic pricing or anything, but what I paid seemed very fair for his treatment.

Overall, it's quite lovely here.

Even though I could not go in with my dog due to Covid restrictions I felt very safe and confident. The doctor spoke to me on the phone before she examined my dog and after the examination. Gave me all my options and what she recommended. I have always had great service at this clinic and would highly recommend it.

They treat my dog and my kitty with the best care. They’re not the cheapest but they are fair pricing and the service is worth it! I would recommend this vet to anyone in the area.

Dr Korol is amazing and his staff is very friendly and accommodating.my fur baby was not well and we walked in on sunday and they happily accommodated us and my baby loved everyone and treatment was spot on and prices are very reasonable. 5 stars for services super love it.

Great place and great staff. I have taken both of my cats for over 5 years here. It is a welcoming office and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. I researched many vets in my area and Westway is at the top of the list. They are always attentive to both owners and pets alike. One of my cats has had surgery here and before the surgery, the staff (nurses) and doctor explained everything and ensured that we knew all the steps and process. The doctors and staff always take time to explain everything and ensure to give the utmost care for any pet that comes their way. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat

Came in to buy food, the front desk attendant was busy so I sat down staring at her waiting for her to finish. Another lady comes in and she helps her out cashed her out before me, meanwhile I have my jaw open staring at her waiting. She ignored me completely. I didn't have a pet with me and I'd been there to buy food before recently. So I just left. Changed my pets food to raw and hopefully I'll never need to deal with mentally lacking people like her again.

I have only good things to say about this clinic. My cat was mainly under care of Dr Korol who is an amazing doctor and person who truly loves animals. We had a chance to meet other two doctors and staff of the clinic who also seemed caring and knowledgeable. From the first visit we got the right diagnosis. Dr Korol was there for us to avoid extra costs associated with possible treatments and we agreed on the best solution for my cat considering her state. Reception works perfectly as well - they always remind you about upcoming appointment or quickly reschedule if you wish to do so. This clinic is truly a gem and I wouldn’t hesitate a second to recommend it to everyone.

We have been bringing our 2 cats and 2 dogs to Westway for about a year or so and are very pleased with the care they have been given. Our one dog is diabetic so we are in contact with them regularly. Our other dog had a luxating patella and our first thought was that he would need surgery. This was not an option we were looking forward to due to recent costs incurred from our diabetic dog. Dr Koral suggested 8 weeks of acupuncture which we were excited to try. Well I can say that "Norman" hasn't limped once since he finished his round of acupuncture and he took it like a champ! Happy to not spend the $$'s on surgery!

They recommended a "Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment & Treatment with Periodontal Surgery & Mass removal" which cost $1400. Our dog was in perfect health. Our dog shortly after was diagnosed by another animal hospital with multiple myeloma. We were advised by the other hospital it could have been due to this procedure. We spent thousands of dollars trying to save her life, but she subsequently died. This animal clinic recommend something unnecessary which cost us money and her life. I have two other dogs & will Never trust this clinic with their health.

This clinic is clean and the staff are caring and concerned for the animals in their care. The ladies at the desk always welcome you with a smile. I already take my cats to another clinic where l am happy so my review is for front of the house. I go to Westway to purchase the food. Their brands are priced lower than many other offices including my own Vet's clinic. They even will special order the largest size bag so l increase my savings. If you need to find a Vet or your checking food costs l think Westway Animal Clinic is well worth checking out.

Staff are nice but be mindful of their sales tactics and manipulation.

Our cat stopped eating so we took him in. They set up a whole program of test after test with an option to euthanize when we felt the next stage was too much money. Welfare of the animal is secondary and they do somewhat care for what its worth.

I suggested that perhaps some environmental changes led to our cat to stop eating - she quickly shot down that idea.

We did a blood test and it revealed an issue with his liver but she misrepresented the results. The bad liver was because he stopped eating, it did not cause him to stop eating. Of course we needed more tests and money to know for sure.

They also said he needed to stay overnight in a hospital for tests and to be fed.

They were not interested in teaching me how to force feed or provide me with any advice that didnt result in more test/money. I took him home and force fed him myself. No medicine, no tests. He improved overnight and was 100% in 3 days. We don't know what happened but we also didn't need to spend the thousands. He probably just ate something. Its been a couple months since his near death situation and hes fine.

Wish I had never come here.
I'm a student living independently and can't afford many of the fancy medicines they offer, but they will never offer me an alternative, cheaper option no matter how much I ask.
They once offered me a free nail trim and said that it "comes with the fee of the visit". So I went in the next time and requested a nail trim. They charged me around $25 (the groomers just below them charges half the price), when I explained my confusion they explained that only visits over $90 are eligible for a free nail trim. They refused to refund me.
For motion sickness, they gave me an expensive pill package with only three doses that was over $50. It only stopped her from vomiting but didn't rid her of the nausea or anxiety. When I went back they suggested two more expensive medicines on top of the one I was already buying. After doing my own research, I found that the solution was just 25mgs of children's gravol.
This clinic has taken thousands of dollars from me for specialized diet food, medicines, and tests that were never necessary in the first place. They never even gave me answers from the tests they did other than "there seems to be nothing wrong". Even when I did completely trust their advice, I would spend hundreds on a solution that never worked. Don't waste your money here.
