What A Bagel Sheppard

This branch is going downhill. Managed to forget my order *twice* and then mess it up. I walked away with an overpriced sandwich that no one would eat because they have trouble writing orders down. Will not come back.

Very less vegetarian options, I ordered avocado bagel and it was so bad no taste I was also not served coffee was suppose to be complimentary. 7$ for a veg bagel was not worth at all

Great selection of bagels to take home. They also off a full service menu for eating in. Great spot in the Yonge and Sheppard area!

Went here on Sept 21st around noon, and left immediately when I saw cockroaches crawling all over the bagels in broad daylight.

I love it here. Fresh ingredients, good food, decent coffee.
You can get a breakfast bagel and a free coffee mon-fri before 3pm or something like that. Breakfast for two for under $20!

Best place everrrrrrrrrrr for breakfast and lunch. Schnitzel sandwich is so crispy and tender, perfect on a hallah bun. We keep coming back over and over. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, best bagels in town by far.

This has been my favourite breakfast spot in the neighborhood. Not only is the food good, but the staff and the workers have always been friendly and kind. Love coming here to study or read my book. Thank you guys!:)

Doesn’t have all the items that the other what a bagels have, limited options for vegetarians. Place was dirty, no tables were clean to sit on. Cashier was rude.

This place went from a killer breakfast joint in the area to a bagel shop with seating. What-A-Happened?

This place was great. This is an example of poor management and poor strategy. The dine in experience was abandoned and turned into a fast food chain style. The staff is not prepared to take the orders, the menu is barely visible, etc. The staff is not very friendly or welcoming. I now understand why the tables always have room for more people. I don't think it will last much longer unless they go back to what used to work.

Ordered 6 sesame bagels on uber eats and got 6 poppy seed free. There bagels are so fresh and delicious. I really love salted butter spread on a fresh bagel. You can also order cream cheese, tuna or egg salad here.

We ordered two bagel with cheese, they were delicious. The staff are not friendly and they don't smile at all. I couldn't see what kind of bagel they have and when I asked the staff, she only told me one even though I told her that I am not able to see from where I am standing. The other thing, we don't come very often so we don't know how it works, instead of explaining how we order, the staff is looking at us standing, we got confused and she didn't offer help. Someone told us there is another shop at Lesley, we will try that one. We are not going back to this branch.

This is not a restaurant anymore but a fast food. The food is disgusting, expensive as if it was a restaurant and they serve you eggs on the top of the fruit salad.very smart. The sandwich with eggs we had was horrible, with tiny bits of eggs, doesnt stay together, it looked like dog food that even dog wouldnt eat.

Staff in the kitchen do not wear hat, mask or gloves they handle food with bare hands.

Often come here for a quick meal to go at lunchtime. Staff are helpful and friendly and service is quick and accurate.

Confusion in the menu (half of the items are unavailable and they didn’t note that anywhere) ; the bagels were missing when our order came; home fries taste terrible.

Not really a whole lot to say they have good bagels bit on the pricey side but still worth while to try

I like picking up bagels here. I use to dine in often when they first opened for breakfast. Right now, you buy food at the counter and can sit down to eat. They didn't have their smoked salmon benedict available when I went so chose something else. Food was good. Portions were filling.

I will no longer be coming back here. I specifically called in advance to see if we could sit in the dining room. They said yes on the phone. When we got there it was a take out service only that you could eat with plastic utensils in the dining room. Also, this was the first WAB to have a huge menu uptown. Now they have a much much smaller one only offering bagels and Greek salad. I'm so upset.

I went to the store when they just started the shift. I am usually going there to enjoy the bagels, but the staff was not happy and I did not get a good attention from them. The bagels were delicious, but I believe in a great greeting when the customer shows up in the store. It helps in a better feedback.

ELVIRA prepared my chicken salad bagel very quickly and it was perfect, exactly followed all Instructions, this location always has fresh bagels all the time.

The Gem In The Neighborhood! I can't get around the fact that after living in Willowdale for a year today I tried this place for the first time and it made me feel bad for what has been missed for a year: D bagel was super fresh and tasety, the Ultimate egg white was ultimately super.

The bagels are yummy and staff is cool. The issue is with the line setup, it's messy. They also don't have the range of toppings you get at St Clair or Spadina.

So I’ve passed by this place so many times on my usual morning walks, and finally got hungry/curious enough to pop on in.
Upon walking in, it smelled lovely, and was definitely more bakery-feeling than I thought it would, but still delightful.
I ended up trying the salami breakfast sandwich on one of the rainbow bagels. (Always wanted to do a rainbow bagel at least once)
Was pretty decent for the price, though the salami felt a lil skimpy, the taste was still alright, and was sufficiently filling for me for the rest of my breakfast.
I will definitely be coming again for bagels at least, they also had $1 coffee I would like to try to take advantage of next visit.: 3

I never have tuna salad or egg salad bagel with lettuce and tomatoes toppings before. This adds more flavor to the bagel.

Bagel itself its spectacular. Crunch outside soft inside. I'd recommend tuna salad. Egg salad is a little bland. I think i need little more salt in there. Well its just my opinion.

OJ is freshly squeeze. Overall 9/10.

I bring my Friend at What a bagel Sheppard Avenue East location and he is very picky when it comes to food, he told me that their sandwiches specially the SMOKE SALMON EGG IS AMAZING! And the LATTE is the BEST LATTE that he ever had he try a lot of latte from different coffee shop but their latte taste burn, AT WHAT A BAGEL it is the BARISTA whoever is making the latte is really knows what he / she is doing so two THUMBS UP for you guys.

This location have a great coffee, specially love the lattes, perfect companion for the fresh baked and well prepared breakfast sandwiches. I personally recommend the salmon and egg sandwich is really good. The service is great and personnel is always nice and helpful. I recommend this place.

Love their salad and breakfast sandwiches. Perfect for brunch or light lunch. Im so happy they are now 10 min walks from me. Definitely recommend them.

This is near work, so we've been going since openi. There have been hiccups but that seems taken care of.

Staff are good, food is plentiful and tastes great. Illy Caffè is very good. Coupons are available often for half price bagels.

Scam artists.they said free bagel on their website on sept 11 then they didn't honour it.avoid this dirty scummy place.owner replied with inaccurate information.i have advertising saying September 11 giveaway and was denied free bagel

Just what this neighbourhood needed! I love this place so much from the decor to the open kitchen to the marvellous brunch. The eggs Benedict is divine.

They also have free coffee refills for their breakfast special which I believe is under 10$. Moreover, comfy seating, friendly staff, great coffee, modern and clean bathrooms. The portions are good and it’s right by the Shepard subway.

I only wish the restaurant was open past 3 pm!

Generally, i dont visit places that owns multiple locations. With larger expansions the food quality and experience normally dilutes.

We love coming here with our 2yo for breakfast. Great breakfast options (especially for littles!) and the servers are super nice. The food is always fresh that we can't help ourselves - we HAVE to leave with a dozen fresh bagels:)

When you walk in you see a delicious rack of bagels. When order a bagel sandwich and they give a far lesser worthy version. “It’s the same. ” she said and opened my bagel to show me. She was silent a moment and then asked if I wanted to change and get another one. If you order avocados on your bagel you get it in paste form.seriously. Pretty unethical business practice to pull a bait and switch on customers.

A nice departure from typical strip-mall what a bagels. Full dining and menu, in addition to the usual what a bagel food.

The sandwich was so nice! Loved the fresh quality of the food and the great service! Would definitely be trying this place again! And the best part is that they are halal! Do give this place a try!

Great little place. Bagels are great, super soft and yummy. Not the best coffee very bitter. There's a little seating area like a restaurant and a seating area if you walk in and buy the bagel. There's is a variety of bagels to choose from.

We needed this in the neighborhood! There were no brunch places but now we do and This place is incredible. The decoration and aesthetic is bang on. The bagels are delicious, fresh. Will definitely make my way back here soon

Their mini-bagels are awesome, especially "everything" and "sesame seeds". Surprisingly, they don't make them on a regular basis. You need to pre-order the mini-bagels in advance, from four hours to two days. If the mini-bagels were readily available, without jumping the hoops, I would have given this bakery 5 stars, but with such (un) availability, only four.

Tried out newly opened bagel shop. Ordered vegetable omlete, asked to substitute basil with tomatoes, and classic breakfast. Ordered 2 Orange juice. Classic breakfast came without any meat portion, like sausage / ham / bacon, and the omlet came with tomatoes substituted for basil. Food was in great quality but the OJ taste like it's a minute maid. Asked for the bill and what a surprise! Charged for a dollar for the substitute (tomatoes) and the 2 glasses of Minute maid Orange juice taste like was over 9 dollars and the classic breakfast with no meat was $8.99! Plus the debit terminal machine was hard to use! Make sure to press the codes really hard! I know it's a new store and 1 dollar is not a big of a deal but if you are making a substitute, there shouldn't be a charge for the substitute. Total bill came out almost $40 including tip! Yes, I did give a tip. One more thing to mention. Be aware of the dates on the perishable products like cream cheese and etc. They have short code and will expire soon. Overall, the environment & atmosphere was great and the owner (?) was very nice and eager to serve but next visit will be just for the freshly baked bagels.

This space is so awesome and in an area with little or no good Jewish food What a Bagel is a shining beacon. Incredible bagels, best in the city according to me! Wonderful baked good, delicious all day every day brunch and lunch foods. You simply must come here. On top of all this, cater the greatest platters filled with smoked salmon, tuna, egg, oodles of veg and so much more. Just look at my photos and then head here ASAP!

Bagels are excellent and service is friendly too. There is an area where you can have a seat and enjoy your bagel. The only thing that does not seem to be convenient is that there's no actually entry from the Sheppard Center itself, so you need to walk outside the mall in order to get to this place. Also there are bathroom facilities.

Went in for breakfast. Ordered eggs with twister bagels on the side. We were looking forward to those yummy twister bagels and at approximately 10 am they didn't have any left. We had to change our order and picked flat bagels but were still charged the premium of twister bagels extra
75 cents each which didn't look as big. We were disappointed because we craved big twister bagels and they didn't have them but still paid extra. We should have been told flat bagels same price. Coffee a little weak but the baked goods smell and look yummy. Friendly staff. A little pricy and can up with all the extra charges if you're not careful.

Top notch breakfast today. I go to this WAB everyday since they open at the newly renovated Yonge and Sheppard Centre for a everything bagel with cream cheese. I tried the in house seating breakfast today. 10 stars all the way! Best eggs I have ever eaten in my life. They looked over easy which I asked for but poached. The Chef deserves 10 stars Breakfast was awesome. Coffee was great. The girls and service was awesome
