Whipper Snipperz Cuts for Kids

We have been there for over 3 years now.  I was afraid that it would close due to the pandemic. They remain strong to make it through. I praise them for staying in the business. They are great for young children and offer PS4 games, Netflix, and more. Keep the kids distracted from cutting while playing/watching.

I say again that this place is better suited for young children and toddlers! I am sure that they can handle children who have special needs - I personally could see hairstylist (s) taking lots of patience with them when I sat with my child waiting for her turn.

Very bad work. She did a horrible haircut in a few minutes. I went to another one to fix it.

My son had a wonderful first hair cut experience here. He's 20 months old and only had one haircut, care of mommy with some clippers, up until today. He and my husband watched some hair cutting videos on YouTube the day before and then today when it was time for the haircut he knew what the hairdresser was doing and was happy to watch TV and hold the Tickle Me Elmo he'd noticed on the counter while she (very quickly) gave him a perfect haircut. He then had loads of fun playing with the toys available while his Dad got a haircut next.

Perfect first haircut experience! We loved it here and really appreciated the pictures, certificate, and lock of her hair saved for our memory box. My daughter loved playing in the car chairs! Staff were patient and kind, we will be back again

Our toddler just got his first haircut here. He just turned 2 and is nervous of new things. He was hesitant and it could have gone poorly, but Edilin was fantastic. Patient and understanding, and made the whole thing fun for him. Even with him wiggling around and pulling away, his hair still came out looking perfect and straight! I honestly can’t say enough good things about our experience. It exceeded my expectations and is more than just a place to cut hair. It’s a fun experience and a safe environment for kiddos who are nervous

Great with kids. Hair cut is also very well done, patient and understanding. They have cars, tv's, and a PS3 with a selection of games to distract the kids if needed. Would love to see more light in the space and probably a little more space in general for play. 4.55.

So glad I found this place. My son hates hair cuts, but the staff do so good and are so patient with him!

My wife and I took our one year old her for his very first hair cut. I must say the lady that cut his hair was absolutely fantastic and very patient with our boy. It's obvious that kids move alot and get distracted very easily but she took the time to play with our son while also trying to cut his hair. I love how you also get a certificate to show he got his first haircut as well as a little pouch to put some of his hair inside to keep. I asked if we were allowed to take photos while the haircut was happening. She didn't mind at all which was great. I don't understand why some reviews are a 1 star here. If your looking to get some sort of style for your kids hair why not just bring them to a real barber? They did a terrific job with my son's hair. I wasn't expecting it to be overly amazing. Overall great experience and thank you to the lady who gave my son's first hair cut.

Terrible haircut was definitely uneven and choppy looking - had to go get another haircut somewhere else to have it fixed for our son, who's 23 months. He did not move during his cut, so there was no reason for this to happen. Bangs were completely uneven as well.very disappointed and will not be returning. I should not have paid for this. It's just ridiculous.

Two times they gave my kid the most botched haircut. The first time was better than the second. The second time he looks like Frankenstein. Awful.they don’t know how to cut hair into a style.

Amazing service, decent prices and a really welcoming atmosphere for kids. There's toys and entertainment to keep your kiddos amused. Will definitely be a repeat customer here!

Took our 14 month old here for his first (long overdue) haircut the other day. We got the ‘first haircut package’. Amazing experience! Edilin was so good with him and gave him the cutest haircut. Loved the chairs and the TV’s - such a good idea to keep little ones entertained. We will definitely be back!

Great place for a kids haircut. Staff are very patient. Tvs w/netflix to keep your child preoccupied. Different vehicle options for children to sit in while getting a cut. They use clippers that are extremely quiet, which helps cut down on any sensory overload. Overall great experience.

We've been a few times and my son absolutely loves it here. The lady who cut his hair was very patient with him (he moves around a lot) and she got his hair looking pretty good! He doesn't like getting his hair cut but he hasn't had any complaints when going here.

We were recommended this place for our son's first haircut and it was fantastic. Edelin cut his hair and she put him at ease and did a brilliant job with the cut itself. She is very good at her job and we will definitely be back! The first time haircut package is awesome value. Thanks Edelin!

Hairdresser was friendly with my son, but the haircut was just horrible! Honestly it was as bad as the covid cut I gave him in 2020. It truly looks like my child cut his own hair, no lie.
I mentioned this place to my partner he WARNED me not to take our son here & take him to our regular person. Thankfully we have another 3 months for it to grow out before JK… Honestly I have NEVER felt more embarrassed after getting my child’s hair cut. BE WARNED TAKE YOUR BOY TO A BARBER

So much fun for kids and staff is so patient with little ones and knowledgeable about how to deal with them. The kids get to sit in big cars and watch Netflix while they get their haircut, so even though this shop is quite far away for us we always make the trip.

What can I say other than this place was absolutely wonderful and I'm so glad that my son's first haircut was here. The staff were so friendly and did an amazing job. No tears or fears, an excellent first experience. There is parking out front but I sneakily parked at the giant Tiger and did the short walk.

I highly highly recommend this place and I'll make the trip there again. Spending the extra change on the first haircut certificate was totally worth it and now we have a keepsake.

Edit: three for three great experiences. My son loves"driving" the McLaren while watching CoCoMelon and getting his hair trimmed. What possibly could be better. I should also note, it's a great value to get the dad and tot cut.

I have 2 reluctant kiddos and I dread haircuts because it always ends in tears. Well NOT anymore! BOTH my kiddos had tear free cuts and left cute, happy, and excited to come again. I cannot praise the stylists enough. Their patience, acceptance, and calm were amazing. 11/10 strongly recommend. We will definitely be back.

This place absolutely lives upto the hype! Took my son here for his first real hair cut. I was so anxious about a bad experience. She was so wonderful and knew exactly how to interact with him. He got to pick his chair, pick his show (her suggestions were bang on too). Ever step was explained to my little guy. He's a sensitive kid and he sat perfectly still 3ven for the clippers. He's already asking when he can go back!
I also didn't know really what style I wanted other than vaguely short on sides and back, longer on the top. Shelooked ahimsa and said I know just what to do. And she did! His fut was exactly what I wanted and he looks adorable!

Friendly! If you have no time to yourself, you can also get your haircut done awhile your child watches something or plays. Very safe environment!

We had an amazing experience when we stopped in for my daughter's first haircut! Bev was so patient and kind and made the visit so memorable. This is an awesome place to bring kiddos and get them used to haircuts in a fun environment, and the quality of cut is great too!

My kids had their first hair cuts. They were so patient and caring with my kids. 22 month old twins and they didn't even bat an eye. Their hair cuts are so adorable the whole family loves them.

We absolutely love Whipper Snipperz, we don't take our son anywhere else! It's a perfect environment for kids to be comfortable with a sometimes tough task. The staff goes above and beyond with the kids, and are also great at what they do. We will continue taking our son there for a very long time!

Edilin did a fantastic job and I couldn’t be more impressed. She was attentive to our concerns as parents as this was our 2 year old sons first professional haircut, and was great with our son too. Whipper Snipperz also helped us find a time slot where we were the only customers there to further alleviate our concerns over COVID transmission. All in all 5 star experience and we will definitely being going back!

We drove 40 minutes, out of desperation, to get our son's haircut here. He has been very fearful of the hairdressers after experiencing getting swabbed for covid. Well worth the drive! My son didn't want to leave! They have individual cars and TVs to help keep little ones distracted. You could tell Edilin knew how to work with kids - so calming, patient and wonderful with him! She even taught us how to style his hair, which turned out so freakin adorable! Would definitely make the drive again!

I have been there a couple times and the experience was great. Bev is so fast and friendly and does a great cut.
The kids playing was loud and crazy as kids can be. There’s no better sound than kids having a good time. I am in my fifties and don’t care if they are geared to kids. Adults have hair too and I love the atmosphere there. It’s fun. You m a led too. Just a big one.

Edilina did an amazing job with my toddler son. My son always hated going to get this haircut but Edilina was was patient and calm with him by showing the trimmer first and the using it making him more calm to get his haircut.

She even helped us achieve the perfect haircut for his style of hair which no one ever took the time to tell us before. I will always get my son hair cut from Edilina. Again thank you soo much!

I brought my 2 boys (6 and 2 yrs old) here today to get their haircut and I am so happy with the service we recieved. The ladies here were nothing short of amazing with my kids. They made the entire experience so fun for my kids and we didnt feel like they were just getting cuts and then ushered out the door. Their prices are so cheap for the services they provide. Recommend them to everyone with small kids.

1st real hair cut at Whipper Snipperz Cutz for Kidz. They were gentle and patient and we got through it with no tears. Loved it so much that he had to show of his hair and.tummy to everyone. Lol.

Love this place, I'm pretty sad they left Guelph. But it is worth the drive to have a pleasant experience for my little one.
