A new range, under warranty…not working properly.
Too many phone calls, only one with a real person and that one not a Whirlpool person but a service tech in the US somewhere. One local service call with a certified Whirlpool tech. Unsatisfactory…and they won’t return.

We have been stuck with a washer that has so many issues. They have been testing it for 8 months mentioning the last resort would be a replacement. When the time came they have said there is nothing wrong with the appliance and they don’t have enough information to replace it. Make it make sense? Horrible service and what a mess of a company.

Bought a washer (wfw5605mc) and gas dryer (wgd5605mc) November 29/22. After 6 weeks it started making loud noises, seams the drum is out of balance but the dryer is level. Service call capital repair (Windsor area, matt) comes out on February 8th and can't fix it. He needs to call whirlpool and going to get back to me that afternoon. Still have not heard anything. I have called whirlpool service twice and they are no help either they just keep sending emails to capital repair. Just beware buying whirlpool the quality has gone downhill. We had whirlpool originally lasted 18 years and the new dryer only lasted 6 weeks. Just junk! While it is April 24th and still no resolution to the problem. 10 phone calls to whirlpool 4 to capital (no response) and anther service call on March 23rd and the service call was a joke. Tried to tell me my venting was an issue along with gas line. Funny for 26 years it was never a problem. As for the venting it is cleaned out every 6 months. What incompetent people. Round 3 April 24 another service call. Hi just want to add to this on going issue May 1st another service call the teck matt needs foam and tape, on order. The foil tape gets mailed to me on July 17th. Appointment made for service call July 24th and a no show. July 25th told a side panel is needed now surprise to me. So new appointment now for August 17th and the teck matt is a no show waited all day. So on the 17th call to whirlpool the area whirlpool manager going to call me give 3 days, no phone call. But on the 17th I get a email the job is complete I think the teck (matt) needs to actually come in the house to fix my dryer. Book another appointment for August 24th morning and a no show again, but he called and knocked on the door, what a liar. 32 phone calls to whirlpool 6 service appointments with 3 no shows. Appointment for 8/28/23 canceled, did not like my phone message on Friday 2/25/23 leaving my phone number and address and will be home all day, said it was inappropriate. He was never going to show up. What a treble service company capital. WHAT A JOKE

I contacted customer service, and they asked for the serial number and model of my appliance. After verifying the details, they confirmed that my appliance was under warranty and scheduled a technician to come and fix it. However, when the technician arrived, he claimed that the appliance was not under warranty and that I would have to pay for both the parts and service. I refused, stating that the company had made an error. Now, Whirlpool's customer service is insisting that I owe $129.99 for a service that was never actually performed. This is ridiculous and feels like a huge scam!

I'm so disappointed I purchased this whirlpool washer. Had it for a month and nothing but problems almost 8 to 10 times service. I'm so tired.

Brought the electric range in March, 2023, controller knobs broken down in fives months. We called the service center, the customer service rep.confirmed technicians will come for repairs. However, two times in a row, no shows. When we followed up with them, we were told that they lost our information! Very disappointed

Wish I could rate them an absolute zero, but forced to give one so my review can actually go through.

Product: Whirlpool washer

Garbage products with beyond garbage customer service. They don’t even treat their distributors right (that’s beyond my scope so I won’t say further).
But yes they make sure they put in every effort to not replace any defective product for customers, and keep buying time so they can extend possession with the customer as much as possible until the product goes “out of warranty”. I still remember this used to be one of the most reputed brands at a time, but what a joke it has become. Their reviews say it all.

If we knew our home builder was going to put whirlpool appliances in our home prior to purchase, we would’ve definitely refused.

You guys need to either step it up and make quality products, or provide quality service. It takes quite a lot for such a big player in the game to be embarrassingly terrible at keeping up with both. What a disgrace.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. This has been THE worst customer experience ever. A 3 month old washer broken, now for several weeks, and now we have to repair it on our own dime. Several appts missed with no call or no show. Absolutely the worst experience ever. The manager was yelling at my wife. Do not use whirlpool.

Don’t waste your time & money. 2020 purchased a refrigerator and I they brought me wrong one now after a few years not working. Today I was on the phone for whole day with all departments. Worst customer service they keep give me a new number to call I can’t believe it this company how they make money I didn’t get any help because I don’t have any warranty.

Cuisinière acheté en 2019, après même pas 3ans plein de rouille, on dirait un produit qui a 30ans d'ancienneté, toujours sur assurance mais ces derniers garanti pas le rouille, sais pas quoi faire à part faire une plainte auprès de la protection de consomteur. En plus j'ai des électroménagers plus de 15ans aucun rouille, très très déçu! Je voulais mettre 0 étoile mais i can't.

I wish I had read these reports prior to purchasing my Maytag washer/ dryer. 5 months in my dryer broke and I was without for 2 weeks, then 2 months after that my washing machine broke down (8 months old). We are a family of 5 and I am going on 5 weeks without a functional washing machine. And there is no end in sight. They ordered the wrong part and now they have to order another part. Getting in touch with Maytag and their outsourced service provider has been a nightmare. Hours wasted on hold and having to continuously plead my case. This has been a terrible customer experience. I am going to be sure to tell anyone who will listen NOT to purchase a Maytag product. I too will now be left with a refurbished Maytag washer and dryer. Not what I bought into.

We bought a new Kitchenaid dishwasher (Model KDFE104KPS) and it was installed June 27/23 and our first service call was June28 after our first use! When we opened the dishwasher after cycle (next day) to unload and then closed the door, there were large water droplets on the outside of door above cycle panel. See Pictures.
We have hardwood floors in kitchen and water droplets falling on floor when we open dishwasher is not acceptable.
Jul 4th the service technician came out to look at our one day old dishwasher and called Whirlpool Service repair hotline. They suggested that he order a new skin” for the door and it would take 3-4 weeks for part.
It took much longer. The service technician came out yesterday, Aug 10th to install the new “skin”. Today, Aug 11th, I had to call Whirlpool again with the same issue!
The water is still accumulating on the door when door is closed after unloading.
They have put another call into the service repair company to come back out.
From talking to different people…this issue is a common problem with all Whirpool dishwashers. I assume it is a design flaw.
There is a vent located on the inside of the door and that must be causing an issue.
I am beyond upset.
I am going to be contacting Home Depot, where we purchased the dishwasher to complain as well. They shouldn’t be selling this brand/model with these issues.
Save yourself a headache and buy a different brand.
I will update review if it gets resolved.

And this gets worse - Technician came back with 2 brand new evaporators, spent over an hour putting these in. Within 20 min after doing this he knew the problem was internal and not fixable. Because it is not fixable and the main cooling system it is under 10 year warranty. Even though we were told we should get a new one, Whirlpool is refusing to replace it. Offering 35% off so we can spend another $4K to get a new one that could break in 5 years. Worst service and customer care ever.

I am giving 1 star only because you can't leave no stars. We have a 5 year old Kitcheaid fridge which we paid over $5,000 for that stopped working on May 25th. We had our first service call on Jun 2nd with a Whirlpool technician. After numerous calls with Whirlpool we finally had a new compressor put in on June 26th. This worked for 1 week and 1 day when the same thing happened again. Another 2 or 3 days for a tech to come out to tell us we need 2 more parts - not available in Canada. Tech comes on Jul 8th, parts ordered on Jul 11th by the tech. Call to Whirlpool on Jul 9th who expedites the parts per the person on the phone, call to Whirlpool on Jul 17th - parts never ordered according to the person on the phone. Now saying another 7 - 10 days for the parts and then an appt can be booked which will be 3- 5 days after that.

Why is the tech saying the part was ordered on Jul 11th, Whirlpool says they expedited it on Jul 9th, Whirlpool says no part has been ordered as of Jul 17th. What kind of service is this?

Oh and an offer of 25% off a fridge. Big deal!

No one at this company seems to have any concern that we are now without a fridge for over 6 weeks with no end in sight.

Worst service ever. I m having problems with Whirlpool washer from day 1. They didnt change it. Just keep sending techinician over and over. They keep changing every part. But nothing works. And on the top want me to get a extended plan on their brand new unrepairable washer. Worst experience on my stove. It keep me awake whole night by turning itself on and on. With so much smoke all over my house.

Bought a "top level" Maytag dishwasher in 2019. One year later the height adjustable top rack adjusters, that are made of plastic, had crumbled to pieces.they would drop down on to the heating element and melt. Nice burnt plastic smell in Kitchen. We received free replacements that I installed and we decided to NOT adjust the top rack anymore thinking maybe that caused it. A year and a half later happens again.the plastic isn't designed for high heat? Or something, because it doesn't crack or break off, they just disintegrate.the picture of the adjustor shows the metal bracket exposed and the second is the pieces (including a melted piece) that fall to the bottom of the unit.

Do NOT buy a Maytag!

Emailed the address below the information they requested the same day they posted (3 weeks ago ish) and have yet to hear a response.

Keeps getting better.

Update 7/24/23

Replacement parts lasted a year, AND WE NEVER ADJUST THE TOP RACK. $250 In parts to get another year out of it. Obviously won't be replaced with anything from the Whirlpool group of companies.

Terrible appliances, terrible service.

I completely regret buying my product from this company. Less than one year ago I purchased a Maytag washing machine, 10 months later I now have a refurbished Maytag washing machine.

After five weeks and hours on the phone with supervisors, Augustine, Erica, Cujo and Calvin, who were of no help and all did the minimum required by their office. Each time I called I was left with a bad taste in my mouth and not once was there an effort to make things right.

I finally had their service technician, Mathew, fix the machine after the third attempt. His first attempt he could not fix it on site, after ordering the required parts, he came back a second time only to realize he did not diagnose the problem correctly the first time and needed to order new parts.

On top of this frustrating experience, they leave every part of the machine that they replaced on my doorstep and tell me it is my job to pay and get rid of it. These parts include some sort of gear casing and the entire inner drum, along with other electronic parts. These items will not be accepted by the garbage truck.

I called the service technician, to ask him why these items were left and to request him pick them up, and I was shocked to hear him greet me by saying, "yeah, what do you want? "

It is the absolute worst experience I have ever had and I urge everyone to steer clear of this company when choosing your next appliance.
