Whitby Medical Walk In Clinic

Brought my 2yr old in and was seen inside of 10 minutes, and that was at 4: 30p. Wonderful front desk staff and great process. So much more helpful than other clinics in town where they stop taking new walk-in patients by 12p or 1p.

Very bad experience they are very resided we went to the clinical waiting more than 6-7 people came after us went in after we went and asked they let us in and one assistant who popped in once we thought it’s the doctor she didn’t even introduced her self when we asked her name she refused to answer
Room was dirty and with used tissues and very bad experience

Stopped going to this clinic after seeing a doctor who retired last year, BECAUSE a certain receptionist is a bi_h.

Great Doctors and Nurses. Highly Professional and Polite staff. Expected wait times. Good followup.

I came here with a severe back pain but the receptionist at the desk was very rude. I asked her about the waiting time and her response was very bad. The way she answered felt very wrong and uncomfortable. Very bad customer service.

Dr. Nagel is very knowledgeable, friendly and knows his stuff! Glad to have him available for my needs!

Easily the best walk in with the best doctors and staff. Anyone not giving 5 doesn't know what they're talking about.

I had a general question about something during my baby son’s visit, and one of the nurses very kindly called me after the appointment to provide me with more info. Highly recommend.

Was told 1-2 hour wait today. While I was waiting, people who missed their appts showed up late and cut in line of us. Then a few walk-in people showed up and whined about the time so they got put in front of us. After 3 hours I left. Very disappointing management.

I don't often take time to type out reviews but I felt compelled to let others know how excellent this walk-in clinic is.

I've lived in multiple provinces and therefore have had plenty of different walk-in experiences to draw contrasts against; in terms of understanding which ones are poorly run and which ones exceed expectations. The Whitby Walk-in Clinic is by far the best clinic that I have ever visited.

The front desk staff are conscientious and actually friendly, unlike a great deal of other clinics. Their front desk will explain to you the approximate wait time upfront without needing any sort of prompting in order to find out. During your wait, there are many places both in their immediate plaza and nearby to spend that time.restaurants, supermarkets and big box stores as well.

Once your visit with the doctor ultimately concludes, the clinic shares a space with a Pharmacy in case you need anything specific, which is extremely convenient at the end of the day.

Aside from the friendly staff and convenient amenities - the real heroes of the Whitby Walk-in Clinic experience is both the nurses and the doctors themselves. Dr. Nagel is honestly the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

Dr. Nagel sincerely takes the time to listen to you, so that you do not feel like just another number. Therefore, the setting is relaxed and you never feel rushed into not fully explaining everything that you felt was pertinent to your visit. Dr. Nagel's active listening skills are also met with the fact that he speaks well himself, he explains things very well and does verbal check-ins for mutual understanding to ensure that everything is full circle before you depart. You will never feel judged by him, thanks to his warm mannerisms and utmost professionalism.

Thank you, Dr. Nagel and staff for all of the help. I'll continue to tell others in-person as well about how solid of an operation you're running there at that clinic.

I've been to many clinics related to my ongoing health issues but Dr. Nagel is the best one I've ever met! He's thorough, patient and listens to everything you've to say. He takes the time to understand your issues, takes notes and knows his stuff. Though the wait was too long, approximately 1.25hours, its WORTH IT. The receptionist was welcoming as well. I'd make him my family doctor but he's not accepting patients.

Basing this on today's experience: the receptionist is EXTREMELY rude! Getting mad at me for asking for my immunization record which this clinic has. The doctor and nurses are excellent!

Open sign turned on, hours indicate it's open Saturday and Sunday but is clearly not!
Waited while along with 10 other people before someone saw in very very tiny writing that they are closed on weekends.terrible terrible place! This is a pathetic place to go!

Horrible service here. When I went to the walk in the staff was very friendly, service was normal of a walk in. I have now been trying to get a hold of the clinic for a week straight, I’ve left multiple messages and still have gotten no response. Ridiculous as I’m waiting for results of a swab to come back. I know these swabs only take about 3-5 days yet here I am. I’ve called multiple times per day and each time it rings until voicemail, what’s the point of having a phone in the clinic if you can’t be bothered to answer it. I will not be going back there for anything due to this.

The doctors are knowledgeable but the wait times are ridiculous and on top of that they never set the expectation of how long the wait is. We got here 830am on a Monday she told us it's about an hour wait but we've been here for 1.5 hours and was just told there are 6 people still ahead which will be another 30 mins minimum. They need to fix this. They can not call themselves urgent care when they making people wait 2+ hours once they arrive. They tell you to stay in the car and wait. Not so easy when you have 3 year old throwing up and crying. Absolutely ridiculous.

Doctor did a phone consultation with me. Told him what I needed as It is an ongoing thing yearly with me. Asked for a z-pac and he gave me gargle instead. Pain got worse and throat swelled up and fever has set in. Never go to this clinic or trust the doctors there. Will never go or recommend this place to anyone.

I just took my newborn here. The website says the clinic closes at 7pm, the front door say 830pm and the store front sign says Open. The front door was locked and when I knocked on the window and showed the receptionist I had a baby, she motioned they were closed and then ignored me until I left. I have half a mind to report them to the province. What a joke.

Have to wait tooo long.even I booked one day before.when I go there I have to stand outside for 1 hour.and after that when I told doctor for my test she was like we don't do this test here.even I asked on phone one day before.receptionist told me that you can come.worst experience ever.wastage of time.receptionist was so rude to me.

Man this place is something else, I called yesterday for an ear infection and was told that a doctor needs to see me in person to make sure it's an actual infection, Understandable so I was asked to come in tomorrow anytime from open to 5: 00pm because the doctors will be in then so I go in today and no Doctors, Apparently they had left for the day at 2;00pm and I missed them by 45 minutes, Was asked a second time to come in tomorrow from open to 5: 00pm so I say to her "I was told that yesterday and the doctors aren't here" she replies with "well there's nothing I can do about that would you like me to put you on a call list for the doctor or you can go to another Clinic, " There's a reason this place doesn't even have a 3 star rating, Uncompassionate Disorganized and just plain rude, There is much better Clinics out there don't waste your time going here!

First time to this walk in clinic. The receptionist was very nice and quick. I waited not too long (got really lucky) The doctor on duty was very nice too. I would say, overall experience is GREAT!

I just showed up at 10am to have a doctor look at a cut on my finger and was told there were no doctors there and to go somewhere else even though this is a walk in clinic that is open until 1: 00 today. Brutal service

Fast Service, but the receptionist was little rude! I understand she was handling lot at the time.

The lady at the reception has been exceptional. She also smiles all the time and says hi to patients. Not only that, the doctor at this clinic is thorough and professional. I used a paid online appointment service so that my two sick kids do not need to wait - which works great for me. At least I had an option to skip the waiting room (while staying home)! Due to its urgent nature I couldn’t make an appointment with my family doctor and I am glad that I have chosen this walk-in clinic for diagnosis and treatment for my kids.

I added my daughter to the waitlist online. 100% worth the $5 charge. We only waited about 5 minutes before being brought into a room. It was a bit of a wait before the doctor came in but he didn't rush while he was checking my daughter. I will most likely be using this clinic again.

Had a chest x-ray done for possible pneumonia after being sick with a bad cough for 5 weeks. I know the x-ray clinic sent the x-rays but no one from the Whitby Medical Walk In will call me back. I left a message but I'm positive the receptionist just deleted it and didn't notify the doctor. If you have something minor this isn't a bad place to go if you book online. If they start having you run any tests for something more serious GO TO YOUR FAMILY DOCTOR NOT THIS WALK IN!

Clinic has their hours of business posted that they are open until 8: 30pm. Walked-in at 8: 03pm with the door shut closed. A note posted that they are no longer accepting patients for the day. Went through the pharmacy door. Spoke to a receptionist. Told her that I see your sign says you are open until 8: 30pm but no longer accepting patients. I told her about our situation where I just got home from work and my son has supposedly been crying for 2hrs complaining about his ear. I asked that he be seen by the doctor. Receptionist said she is sorry but the doctor lives 1 1/2hrs away. She said that they needed to be out for 8: 30pm and will most likely be there longer than that. I asked, practically begged with my son in front of her teary eyed. She said she is sorry but if this is an emergency, I should go to the hospital. She said they have been closed for an hour now.

Not sure why they would have their hours of business noted a closure of 8: 30pm and closed their doors for walk in patients at 7: 00pm. Not sure why the owners would hire people that needed to out of there for 8: 30. Not sure how ethnically responsible to turn sick patients away just because their doctor lives 1 1/2hr away. I have been to this place twice and really like one of their doctor. I like the nurses and even the receptionist I’ve dealt with in the past. Just not sure you should have your hours of business noted a certain way and closed an hour and a half prior. I think you should served every patient that walks through your door until your scheduled closure time. Otherwise, take the darn sign down. Disappointing!

They literally just want you to walk in there so they can swipe your health card and get money. The doctor was asking me what needs to be done regarding my injury. Also if you call them they just specify straight up to come at their office.no one answers / receptionist / nurse

Long wait of 1.5 hours although only 3 people in waiting room. May take online patents first. But you have to pay to.bok online. STaff was friendly. Dr was ok.

Every time i call to make an appointment no one picks up.the lady at the front desk is useless.also dr.daiter always seems like he’s in a rush, never actually cares about the patients.once he misdiagnosed my sister with strep throat when she actually had tonsillitis! Pay more attention, seen like you care! This place needs some serious help.

The doctor never listen to you.he rushes to send u out. He doesnt care for the patients. They want to make business rather treating patients with care. Horrible people I never recommend this place to anyone! I visited 3 weeks ago and I will never come here again.

Horrible! There is no option for negative star rating otherwise I would have done so. My wife booked an ultrasound appointment with the owner since the receptionist never answers. She confirmed to have a female technician only to found out that there was no other technician except the owner himself. She walked out without getting her ultrasound done. Waste of time, extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. Very irresponsible behavior on part of so-called medical professional. NEVER GO THERE!

Absolutely shameless and inhumane people, dont go there. We called and asked them if we can come in and they said yes.they are accepting patients. We reached only to be told that they cant see our baby today as they don't have time. This is seriously brutal.my wife/baby is refused to be seen by the doctor and she is holding a 5 months old baby and can't do anything about it. They should have said no to us over the phone.instead we drove 10 kms with the baby only to be refused. Get some heart guys.
