I came in for a walk-in X-ray and was greeted by Sahaba at the front desk. She was incredibly polite, compassionate, and helpful. I was initially going to go to another clinic close to my physiotherapy clinic, but after reading the reviews here I wanted to give this a try instead. I'm glad I did and I strongly recommend coming here.

Lisa was very professional in her manner but personable to show that she is a friendly human being. She is very organized in her job. I had to have a full bladder for my ultrasound but it wasn't quite full enough. She so explained that she would do the other tests first, then time would make my bladder full. She's a great worker! I wish everyone I see at a clinic was as good as her.

My mom’s technician was very rude to her. She came out shouting, telling me that my mom won’t do what she is asking her to do. One of the receptionists even came to calm her down. Then, asked me to come in tell my mom what to do. In turned out, she was not giving the right instructions!

Thank you to one of the receptionists who was very nice!

All front end staff were so friendly. We had to wait a tiny bit but were informed the length of time right away. Definitely will tell people to use them in the future.

Booking an appointment is surprisingly easy and super quick! Staff made me feel welcome from the first hello. The ladies at the desk, Carmella and the rest of the beauties, were friendly, professional and informative. When I needed to book something they could not preform, they took their own time to locate me the proper facility and got me in contact with them. Cindy, my ultrasound lady helped me feel comfortable and calm. Thank you so much for making what could have been an awkward appointment go smoothly, and thank you for being kind! You don’t find that everywhere these days!

We went for the ultrasound yesterday, and arrived late due to santa-clause parade in Whitby downtown on Saturday Dec 3rd, 2022. It was all upto the technician working that day because the management and receptionist said that they have to reschedule our appointment to another day due to late arrival onsite by 15minutes only. Technician named TANYA IQBAL advocated for us that she will take us in same day. Special thanks to her and the management to accomodate us. We would really recommend them and Tanya Iqbal for keeping the high standards of humanity and understanding. Thanks.

I had a 9: 50 am appointment. The meter on the street had coins stuck in it and wouldn’t accept credit card. Several people walking by tried to help. I tried the honk app and it wouldn’t work. The community garden at the church quietly and kindly offered to let me park. I ran into the office at 9: 57 am to the ultrasound tech and 2 receptionists. I stood there for a minute or two and when they finally looked up and I explained the ultrasound tech lectured me on how late I was that my procedure takes 20 mins and the next appointment was already there so they couldn’t take me. No one has walked in after me so the gentleman was at least 15 mins early. I asked if he could go now (early) and I could wait and see if there was time for me afterwards. She refused and again lectured me. I the receptionist said I could come back at 250 but I was unable to due to an appointment. I explained I’d just have to go and would call my OB and explain I wasn’t able to get it. To which the ultrasound tech rudely and loudly said no, you were able to get it, you just showed up late. I responded quite upset that I had already explained the circumstances and had apologized and I didn’t understand why she’s being so rude to me to which the black haired receptionist (Karen?) told me they don’t accept rudeness and I needed to leave or they’d call the police. I said I was already leaving, I’m not sure how the ultrasound tech is allowed to speak loudly and rudely to me but I’m it allowed to be upset and use the same tone and volume back. I didn’t swear or call a name or threaten or anything. I cannot imagine being rude to a customer and then when they express I don’t understand in the same why you’re being so rude, I’m sorry I already explained and apologized and was willing to leave threatening to call the police. I can understand not taking someone if the 6-8 minutes messes up your schedule as that’s your right and I accepted that but save your lectures and condescending speeches as people are all living life and stuff happens. Do not ever go to this place!

Went for a ultrasound at this place, they wasted my time booking me an appointment.when I got there they told me because I was at the hospital I have to go back there. And I send them all the forms they need for the ultrasound and they still told me that they couldn’t do it. Then why ask for everything and still book me an appointment? You have all the information you asked for. They don’t have a clue to run a business!

My ultrasound technician (Middle Eastern background I think, I didnt remember her name I'm sorry) did my dating ultrasound (today May 2nd 9: 50am appt) she was so friendly, and professional. She eased my nervousness and everything was such a breeze during the whole time. Me and my husband wouldn't forget our first time hearing the heartbeat of our baby. Thank you so much.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They worked until they got all my orders from my doctor office in order to get all my images done today without rescheduling my appointment today. I am so truly blessed to them all foe all of their efforts and hard work last not least their smiling faces. Thanks everyone so very much

I called needing an X-ray of my shoulder and got an appointment for two hours later the same day. When I arrived, there was no wait time at all to check in and after filling out a one page form they took me back to do the X-ray and I was out of there with in 15 minutes. Great customer service. Highly recommend this location.

I was just 10minutes late due to traffic and the technician refused to take me in and said I would need to reschedule. My appointment was for 1pm and I was there at dot 1: 10pm and technician wasnt there, she was loiterring downstairs, I was told she went to the pharmacy. She came back at 1: 21pm and then said she cannot take me as her 1: 30pm appointment was there and told me I was 10minutes late as if I was in a school. I told here that if you were here when I came then you could have attended me but you wernt here for 11minutes since I came so thats not my fault either. The first time I had visited this technician was cold and rude. When I asked the directions to the washroom to empty my bladder she gave directions in a way while looking at the computer that I couldnt even hear or understand. I asked again and she gave the direction as if she was doing a favor. It was a pelvic examination and I had a miscarriage and she should have been compassionate at the least but she barely said a word. After she was done, she stood up and said its done and didnt even have the courtesy to give me tissues to clean up the gel off my body that she had used for my examination. Never going back here to this place.

I had an X-ray and an ultra sound from the Whitby X-ray and ultrasound. I got my X-ray done on same day while I got an appointment on my desired date. Reception was so welcoming. My ultrasound technician Tania was so helpful and I felt like family while talking to her during my ultrasound. My X-ray technician was male, I couldn’t recall his name but he was also helpful. They know their jobs and they are all perfect. Highly recommended.

Horrible experience starting with the technician. An ultrasound for 12 weeks pregnancy took 1h 45 min. The receptions I dealt with are completely incompetent, they did not know the lab is closed. When I made the appointment they told me they have a lab opened on Saturdays. Guess what? They don’t ……

The receptionist was a gem today, and not just because her name was also Dana! Haha she was extremely friendly and very inviting!
The wait time was very reasonable and my ultrasound technician was very pleasant as well! We didn't talk all to much due to the imaging but she was very friendly before and after my imaging!
I was done before my actual appointment which was nice as well!:)

Not a great experience! The clinic is very clean, the receptionist I dealt with was very pleasant although there were a lot of others behind the counter all staring at me when I came in which isn't always the most welcoming feeling. But my complaint is about the technician. I worked in health care many years and know what's it's like to have patients. She was very cold, uncomfortable, awkward at giving the patient direction, no manners or bed side manner at all. Again I don't except everyone to be as personable as I am but a pelvic exam is delicate and the patient should be treated with kindness and compassion. At the end she said "I'm done" so I sat up as she was still in front of me cleaning the wand and she repeated again "I'm done". As if I'm supposed to just walk through her. Oh and thanks so much for the paper towel to get all the lubricant off of me.at that point I didn't care and used the gown to wipe myself off in the change room. Good career choice!

My 88 year old mother, who needed a Doppler, to check for a blood clot in her ankle, was refused her appointment time because she was 14 minutes late. She couldn't get into my brother's vehicle so he had to call a cab. That put them behind and she was denied her appointment.

Thanks to Sandra, the receptionist at my Mother's family doctor, she was able to get in right away at the Durham Ultrasound - Durham Medical Centre, just down the street. Thank God there are places that still treat people like human beings and not like numbers.

No thanks to Whitby Medical X-Ray and Ultrasound my mom was taken care of by responsible and caring individuals.

**Edit to add ~ Below this post the owner of the business reached out asking me to email for further discussion, which I did. That was one week ago and there has been no response on their end.

I'm guessing that their public attempt at reaching out is to assure readers that the issue has been dealt with, when in fact it has not.

When my eighty year old widowed friend suffered a debilitating spinal fracture, needed respite care at a retirement residence was found on a Friday afternoon. The required family doctor's medical report posed the first challenge as it was only the following Tuesday afternoon that the doctor's office responded to our call. The only missing medical record was a recent chest X-Ray. The doctor's request was immediately forwarded to the clinic in the same building who reached us by phone at 3: 30 that afternoon. Given the urgency to access respite care, I stressed that we could arrive at the clinic within fifteen minutes and that we were on our way.

We arrived at the clinic's reception area a few minutes before the 4: 00 closing time. My elderly friend was white with exhaustion and hunched over his walker as he stood in the clinic being told that we had arrived too late,  regardless of the doctor's office explanation of the urgency for the X-Ray and the fact that we had announced our arrival. No compromise. No 'care'. As I invited my destitute friend to sit down on a chair in the clinic to catch his breath, the lights were suddenly turned off by Krystal who dared to suggest that we could look for another clinic. Given the shock of the dark room, my friend stood up, feeling he needed to hurry out. At the same time Hamid the X-Ray technician was rushing out having obviously planned his work schedule to be out the door for the 4: 00 closing time. He walked out without acknowledging our presence and without holding the spring-loaded fire door that would have clipped the walker had I not rushed to prevent it from closing. Imagine the drama had the door hit or destabilized my elderly spinal fractured friend!

The following day we returned to the clinic for the needed X-Ray.
I am pleased to say we were met with apologies and a compassionate approach.  Hamid and Krystal were not on duty during our second visit.

Most healthcare providers are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of all human beings and especially those who are most vulnerable and reliant on their help. I trust this incident can provide food for thought to those who appear focused on putting in a day's work.

I had an ultrasound in this clinic, usually I don't post but my experience was great, clinic was clean and spotless with extremely clean washrooms, front desk was very polite and helpful.my technician Tania was superb.she took me in on time, was very polite and helpful.did my scanned thoroughly and made my experience so great. I am always coming here for any future exams.

Appointment 11am so my mom came early, turns out the staff messed up telling my mom her appointment was at 10.40am. So my mom was there 10.45 early, and was denied the ultrasound and had to come back an hour later. My mom came back at 11.30 and guess what.everything went fine but no apologies to my mom were given.

DO NOT COME HERE, THE STAFF WILL LIE TO YOU ABOUT YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME AND NO APOLOGIES.if you do go here, hold the staff accountable please when booking the appointment get who ever you talked to name.

The staff decided not to diffuse the situation but let it brew. These employees today couldn't even look my mom in the eyes afterwards.

Update: more than a year later they reply back. And looks like they also replied the same generic message to other low star reviews.

I was there yesterday and Tania did my exam. Pelvic exams are never comfortable but Tania was super understanding and gentle and made sure I am comfortable each step of the way. She was extremely helpful in explaining each step and very professional. This was by far the least uncomfortable exam I’ve ever had.

Wonderful staff at the location. Treated my 93 yo father like a VIP. Walk-in X-Ray was taken in immediately. Would recommend this X-Ray to anyone in the Whitby/Oshawa area.

The asian technician was rude and could not communicate properly. She could not give clear instructions during the exam. Front staff is friendly and the facility is neat and clean.

Got turned down by a bother Xray place and it was a blessing in disguise.
Got to this location and the places is newer nicer and so are the people.
Got the Xray done in 5 minutes.
The other place said it would take 15 minutes.
Aaaaah. Blessing in disguise.

Very friendly receptionist and I got the appointment a day before. When I arrived they provided excellent service. Very friendly technician he was good and made me comfortable and did all the arrangements neatly. Best place to get done our x -ray and ultrasound. Evening time less crowded

I am only writing to warn others not to go here. The tech. I got was extremely curt and rude. She was not friendly, did not even want to let me see the screen while I was getting the ultrasound, even though it just meant turning the screen a fraction of an inch. I would recommend you find another place so the you have a more positive experience. Especially since most women only get to have two ultrasound in a pregnancy-to have the first be so negative was very disappointing.

Today was my first time at whitby medical x-ray and ultrasound for an ultrasound.i was luck that i ended up with adrianna she was amazing and knew her job. She made me feel so comfortable and answered all my questions, she took her time with me and answered all my questions no matter how many times i asked the same thing. Whitby medical is blessed to have adrianna working for them, next time i go for an ultrasound I will be booking my apt the day that adrianna is working and will def be requesting to be booked with her.

I had my first ultrasound at this building a couple weeks ago. I had booked my appointment weeks in advance to get ultrasounds done on both of my wrists which I was told was not going to be a problem to do in one appointment. The people at the front desk were lovely and the facility itself was aesthetically appeasing, however the technician was rude. She was upset I wanted both of my wrists done and made a big deal about doing them, I told her I had to pay for parking for this appointment and I don't live in Whitby so it's not easy for me to get out here, and I was told she could get both of them done. She said that doing both would take too long, but time didn't seem to be an issue when she took me in for my appointment 10 minutes late. She then agreed to do both. While she was doing my ultrasounds she put too much gel on and was aggressively turning my wrists to get different pictures. She did not speak to me during this. At the end of the appointment I thanked her for her work, even though I was visibly upset, and she said "Well you just took time away from someone else's appointment". My wrists were sore at the end of the appointment and I was completely shocked that a medical professional would have such a negative attitude. I am fairly easy to get along with and was not asking for anything unreasonable, only for what I was told could be done. I have never been treated like this in a medical environment, and will never go back. I will be telling my doctor about my experience in hopes he will put in requisitions for a different facility in the future, because I do not feel as though other patients should have to deal with this situation. Maybe I caught her on an off day and she was behind in all of her appointments which made her stressed, but I do not feel like I need that to be taken out on me.

Had worst ultrasound experience. The Chinese/ Asian technician was very slow, inefficient and also couldn't speak or understand English, which made the experience even more painful. The ultrasound which usually takes less than half hour (the same thing I have done several times in hospitals) she took more than an hour to complete it. Also the bed was too flat for a pregnant women in her late 3rd trimester, since I was lying on my back all the time. When I asked the technician if the head part can be raised, like in many places the can do it, she told me that it doesn't change. I would never go there again or recommend anyone. Renovated facility doesn't mean anything, if they have such technicians.
