Whitby School of Music

My daughter has been learning piano here for almost a year. The books and pave keep her motivated and committed to daily practice.
So far so good

My daughter has been taking lessons here for 4 years using the Pianokids books. She has had 2 different teachers who have both been great. Dave who works the desk has always been very friendly and accommodating with us. We always highly recommend this school to our friends! Great place.

I could not possibly say enough good things about Whitby School of Music. They have done an amazing job at helping my wife and I to encourage my sons passion for music. He has absolutely loved his guitar lessons and the administration and teachers at the school are wonderful. My only regret is that we didn't enroll my son in this school earlier.

All the students and instructors are amazing. Whitby School of Music isn't just a music school for me, it's family.

I signed my daughter up for violin lessons here just before Christmas after taking lessons at another local school for many years. Her teacher is excellent and my daughter is finally loving lessons again. We are excited to see her continue to progress:)

My daughter took violin lessons at this school a few years ago at the old location. It was difficult to find parking when we'd go so ended up stopping mid-year. She wanted to start back up recently so we thought we'd try the new location as my daughter really liked her old instructor. The new location is great and has free parking. Happy we're back here.

Great place for lessons. My son takes guitar and drums and has learned a lot. Awesome instructor.

Our 8-yr old daughter wanted to start an instrument - but was not sure what she wanted to play. The team at Whitby School of Music was so patient and walked through several options with her.

We are a few weeks into voice lessons and she LOVES it. Sharon is an amazing teacher.

Great school. My daughter had voice lessons at another school in Whitby for a few years and we decided to switch to Whitby School of Music 2 years ago. Her teacher has a masters degree and it shows in her teaching. She absolutely loves her lessons and recently received First Class Honors with Distinction on her grade 7 conservatory vocal exam. We always highly recommend this school to our friends and will continue to do so!

I took lessons here with Eleanor Gummer for 3 years as I prepared to audition to study music in university. Mrs. Gummer was amazing and focused specifically on the skills and techniques related to becoming the best musician I could be. I'm proud to say that I passed every audition I took, and graduated with my degree in piano performance 4 years later, in no small part due to the guidance of my teacher at Whitby School of Music. I'd highly recommend this school (and Mrs. G!) to anyone looking to learn an instrument or take their skills to the next level!

We recently signed our 2 children up for lessons at this school after a friend recommended checking out the new location. The studios are beautifully decorated and my son and daughter absolutely loved their teachers. They have now had 3 lessons and seem to really be enjoying it. Looking forward to seeing their progress this next year!

This is an awesome music studio! We've been coming here for a year now, and we have been so impressed. My daughters are learning so much and the experience has been exactly as I had hoped!

I attended an open house this week to get more information about voice lessons for my daughter and to check out the new location. I have to say I was really impressed with the professional facility and the positive atmosphere. I not only signed my daughter up for lessons in the fall but she will be doing a few over the summer as well.

This is a great school for lessons! I'm an older adult learning piano and Whitby School of Music has been very accommodating. Great communication and easy scheduling.

Awesome school. If you want your kid to learn how to play the guitar properly this is the place to go.

Eleanor and the teachers at Whitby School of Music are fantastic. Our kids have been taking lessons here for years and the education in music they have received is amazing. My son has achieved high marks in conservatory exams and even made it onto provincial finals last year.

My daughter has been taking voice lessons here since September and her teacher is fantastic. Her vocals have improved so much under her guidance and she’s helped her gain a lot of confidence performing in front of people. The staff is made up of successful and involved musicians. Highly suggest this place.

All the music teachers are awesome! So far in the last 4 years, my daughter had 3 different teachers and they were all great, knowledgeable, very encouraging, and courteous. My son also started 6 months ago. He loves his classes. I highly recommend Whitby School of Music!
