I have purchased my 1st used car here in canada way back 2017 its now running for almost 10 years old and still have that car in good condition! I trust there selling department! In the service department, though it's not the nearest dealership on my location, i still prefer to visit with the service of my truck, the crew are knowlegeable, respectful and treated you well with your concern! And I can't find this to other dealership!

My used 2015 Venza starring wheel was giving us problems when we first purchased it (@ Don Valley North location), they sold us the highest warranty package, making sure that if anything goes wrong, we would be taken care of. We brought back our vehicle multiple times (to DVN) to get it fixed and they kept brushing us off that nothing was wrong. My husband got fed up and we brought it to Whitby Toyota instead.
When we met the service advisor Jason he listened to our concerns and went out of his way to make sure what we needed to get done, got done. Adam the shop foreman gave us a peace of mind and also went above and beyond to make sure that everything that our request were met.
Whitby Toyota is by far one of the most reliable Toyota Service Department I've experienced. I would definitely recommend you bring your vehicle there.

Horrible experience! DO NOT buy a vehicle with them or get extended warranty from them. Purchased a 2019 vehicle from them, within a month had issues with the vehicle that cost me $700 and guess what? The fine print on the warranty contract that they explicitly told me covered everything except wear and tear did not cover the cost of a valve that needed to be replaced. I know we should always read the fine print but when the finance manager tells you it covers everything except wear and tear I made the mistake of believing them. When I also requested a rental car while my car
Was being fixed (also included in the warranty) they said there were none available due to high demand. Furthermore when I purchased this used vehicle from them the sales representative guaranteed me it wasn’t a smokers car, as this was very important for me with a 1 month old baby, imagine my surprise when 2 days after buying the vehicle and their air freshener wearing off I started smelling the distinct smell of cigarettes. Don’t trust anything they tell you, they’re just trying to sell you the car and the warranty at the expense of honesty.

Don't go looking for a huge discount on the new car. I will go back here and by another car. The Lady we delt with was really good didn't pressure us at all. They helped us out to make sure the purchase of our 2020 was easy and pretty fast. I would definitely recommend this location 100%. The Service Department and Sales Department are great and the people that work there are wonderful. They always take the time to talk to you and answer any questions you my have even when they are extremely busy. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else because I trust them.

Booked oil change for december 1 a month prior, and still waited 3 hours for completion. The way they explained their appintments was:
Everyone (appointments and no) waits in a drive through. My drive thru wait was an hour. You get to the front or the drive thru, and an employee then puts you on a waiting list for either appintments or no-appointment. They then ask you to wait again until its complete, and said non-appointments are placed at the back of the queue.

I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that every person around me had an appointment since even people who came after me left before I did. The employees have no idea who is next in line, and not enough staff for the number of appointments for the day.

So disappointed, mainly because no one was surprised or thought their was a problem with their "appointments. " Its December, and it will always get busy with tire changes. But if you know how many appointments you have, its a simple question of do you have enough service bays/employees for the number of appointments made? If no, schedule customers at a later date.

The service has drastically declined this past year. I am very disappointed and after my warranty is over I will not be going back to the Whitby dealership. I have tried to contact the dealership to give them an opportunity to resolve my concerns, however, nobody got back to me. My service experience this week was also disappointing. I feel like I should be sending an invoice to compensate for my wasted time. Go somewhere else.

I leased a car from Whitby Toyota last year. I got a good deal on that car (hence why I'm giving a star). This year, I went on Toyota's website, put in a build and price for a newer, different car and saw that it wasn't too far off from what I'm paying. Now, I understand that pricing on the website may be inaccurate, and that breaking a lease will incur penalties and additional fees. That's not the point though. I wanted to visit Whitby Toyota, specifically the same salesperson I had last year in order to clarify the actual costs of purchasing a new car. I had texted my former salesperson, gave some information on what I was looking for. She simply responded saying my payment would double and that unless I was prepared for that I should "delay my appointment", then ended the conversation. I was appalled!

First off, I wanted to speak with her to discuss different terms and options - including increasing my down payment, extending the payment periods, choosing alternate coverage plans, etc. But before I could even do any of that, I was already dismissed, basically. I was not welcomed to come in to have a chat about it. Secondly, never in my inquisition did I ever say that a "double price" was out of the question. How uncalled for to assume I can't afford that payment? We did not even discuss what I can and can't afford or what I was willing to pay! Third of all, when I showed a quote that another dealership was offering, she told me that they must be missing something and the numbers are wrong. How so? There was no explanation whatsoever. I gave a direct link to a quote from another dealership and all the details were there including the carry-over price for the lease, ECP plans, winter tires, etc. I don't think there was anything missing.but I wouldn't totally know because, well, I was not invited to come in and speak to her. She did say that her response was "not to offend me", but it very much did. Instead of telling me "you'll be paying this, I assume it's not what you want, take care" how about letting me come in to see WHY and/or any other options we could do with numbers that I could see BEFORE assuming I don't want it? In any case, I had reached out to the manager who apologized on her behalf (hence why I added a second star). The manager also had a look at the quote from the other dealership, said that their deal was "fair" and left me to decide. So, I'm assuming that the other dealership was NOT missing any fees and it actually wasn't unrealistic in the first place. Whitby Toyota just didn't actually spare the time to look over the details with me. Shame.

The point of customer service is to take the time to listen to the customers wants and needs and try your best to make a fair deal. Instead, all I got, in essence was: "what you're asking for is absurd, you'll probably waste my time because it's unrealistic. Not sure why the other place quoted that. This is the price, it's not what you want, so take care".

I feel embarrassed and undervalued as a customer at Whitby Toyota. Unfortunately, I'll still need to be visiting the location for services to my current car, but without a doubt, I'll have a gut-wrenching feeling whenever I visit.

I used Toyota Service in Whitby for many years. Waiting times got progressively worse over the years. It just took me 2 hours to get a simple tire swap done with an appointment. They simply overbook and don't care about people's time. I will stop using them unless I absolutely need to and will switch to another service shop.

Booked an appointment and arrived 30 minutes before. Wasted time waiting in my car for 1 hour and 27 minute before I finally parked my car and gave them my key. Seriously, don't overbook appointments. It seemed like so many cars cramped up in the service drive through. This is such a time wasting for many people. I rarely have a day off, so when I do, I make sure to plan out things ahead to fit in the day schedule. Now everything on my schedule was delayed. Some even got omitted because there wasmt enough time.

One more thing, while staffs are all friendly. I can't say the same to efficiency. Every service takes so much time, way too much. People aint got time to waste idly. Oil change and tires swap for example could take up to 2 hours, like really now?

They just downright refused to sell to me because I dont live there. I think thats discriminatory. I expected better from a business operating as an Authorized Toyota dealer

Over the course of the last month I’ve had technical difficulties on my 2015 Prius C with high mileage. Because of this fact it’s very important from the very beginning of the entering the dealership you feel confident in the results you get my service consultant Cameron that I’ve gotten to know over the past few years having had other Toyota vehicles serviced there was always able to pick up the phone when I called and has always treated me with respect and never talk down to me. The characteristics of the problem with my car is one of the most difficult ones to diagnose and I was very impressed to have shop foreman Adam Hassira personally come out and go over all the difficulties A cooling problem not dealt with can damage the inverter because my vehicles are driven all day I have gotten to know mechanically quite a bit and again it was very nice to have the actual shop foreman come outside when I could clearly see how busy they were to spend the time and go over this with me and not talk down to me also at this point not being a big money repair thank you very much WHITBY TOYOTA!

Horrible experience here with the sales rep named Band. He not only didn't listen, continued to misspell a surname in front of his face, and kept repeating that the vehicle we wanted wouldn't be available for 3 months, he is also a misogynist and desctiminates against people from other parts of the GTA. We made it clear that I was selling my vehicle; however, he kept address questions and going to my husband for opinions. He then proceeded to say he won't take customers from Toronto or Brampton. We were ready to put a deposit down on an over $55k vehicle, but he refused to take 1 cent off the purchase price or ask the manager about throwing in $2800 worth of accessories.literally refused to get up from his desk. He clearly makes too much money that this sale doesn't matter

Not very impressed! Oil pan screw was damaged due to an simple oil change. Ok, that happens. Service department replaced the oil pan at no charge. Had both front and back brake pads and rotors replaced, turned out some brake pads retainers were missing and brakes started to make noise. I was a loyal customer to Whitby TOYOTA service department, actually had my sienna serviced there all the time. Did I mention no anti seize compound was used during brake service? It costed me over a thousand dollars for parts and labour and this is how they serviced my van. I will take it back to the service department and update how they handle my case. Hope this will help you to make the decision of considering going there for service.quick update,

Called next morning, made an appointment at 3pm. Brought my van in and talked to the service advisor about what happened. I waited in the waiting area about an hour. My van was ready, they admit that some brake pad retainer clips were forgotten to install during last service and put a new set of clips on. They offered a free oil change because of this mistake.
Forgot to mention that my seat cushion on the driver side was missing afterwards. Don’t really know what happened to it. I had to rush to pick up my kids, didn’t notice till I got back. If you guys find it. Please put on the side, I will pick it up next time. Thank you.

I wish zero stars was an option. After 17,000 kilometres my tire blew from the inside and i mean the whole side wall. The rim is damaged but they wont replace it. Yes we have tire and rim protection. But they didnt have that paper on file thankfully my wife knows there incompetence and brought her copy. After years of great service our last 3 experiences here are horrid from the end of our yaris to our new prius we wish we bought another car from someone else at this point. I could write an essay on all the problems we have had BRUTAL

I've had my 2020 Toyota corolla for just over 2 weeks now, everything is running smoothly and I love the car. Like any other Toyota dealership, they’re all a bunch of snobs that pretend that they don’t need your business. They just waste your time pretending they’re trying to get you a better deal but always come back with nothing. I tried buying a Toyota many times but arrogance (mostly at this location) makes me walk away. I bought my used Toyota Tundra at a dodge dealership. What does that tell you. I even brought it to this location the week I picked it up for an oil change and To make sure everything is up to date because it was only 2 years old and still under warranty. I also wanted to get them to notify Toyota of the name change so I can receive any updates or recalls and to register the extended warranty that the previous owner had on it. But 2 years later when I was locked out and needed emergency assistance and the 3 year 60k warranty expired, I found out that I didn’t have an extended warranty because they didn’t register it and it had passed the 90 day period of change of ownership so my warranty is no longer valid. I wonder if the $3000 that the previous owner paid for the extended warranty had expired as well. Any other car company, when you purchase an extended warranty and sell the car, the warranty stays with the car. I love my truck, I hate the company. I wish I could give it a zero stars.if you have to have a Toyota go to Clarington Toyota.

He did a good job of being patient and looked out for my needs, interests, and concerns. Overall he knew a great deal about the cars he was selling and was very transparent through the process.
