My experience with David Whitten was stupendous through and through. David is crafty and walks the extra mile for you. David is responsive, professional and handled my case with personal care. I am grateful and highly recommend David Whitten and his firm.

I recently had the privilege of working with Daniel Lublin as my lawyer. I was terminated from my company after 15 plus years. I was able to meet with Daniel within days of my initial contact, which helped to alleviate some of the stress of having to deal with this. I researched many lawyers and firms, but was referred to Daniel Lublin from a previous client. Having read all of the positive reviews, I knew he was the right choice for me. Daniel is very knowledgable and professional. I was very reassured after our first meeting that I had chosen the best of the best with regards to employment law and that was the case throughout our dealings. His communication with me was very timely, thorough and consultative. Daniel was easy to talk to and direct in his communications and counsel. He worked diligently to get me the best package possible from my previous employer and I was very pleased with the outcome. I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend Daniel Lublin.

1. To start, more than 700 fake reviews. The people doing reviews have done one review in their entire life, and that too for W&L. No photos, no other information,
2. I dealt with an unethical and unprofessional firm whose sole motive was to make money.
3. Unexperienced lawyers, half of them are still studying and on holiday every time you reach them. After I asked for the firm's owner, they increased my cost and trapped me further.
4. Our initial draft was more than 120,000, but I ended up receiving 18,0000 and paying 33% commission.
5. Lack of communication. If you seek help, they will add an email response to more hours and charge more.
6. Attention to detail. Their lawyers copied and pasted someone's litigation draft and changed it to my name. Furthermore, my name, date of the birth, company and everything was incorrect.
7. Working with them for seven months made no sense to get a 13,000-taxable claim and their fees. MOST OF ALL, IT ruined my relationship with my employer.
8. They are listed on multiple websites to source new business and often discuss free 30 minutes consulting. Free consulting is a trap to show you that they care and have the best lawyers. They will pick up any case where they can make money.
9. Arrogance and lack of empathy. Since the sole idea is to make money, they do not care once you have signed the agreement with them.
10. Ultimately, my reviews will be covered with more fake reviews on top of my comments.

I was let go by my former employer and Nasyr Asmi did an excellent job in delivering a better severance package than what was previously offered to me. He was honest and upfront about what to expect throughout this process unlike lawyers from other firms. He responded quickly to my emails and questions. If you need a competent employment lawyer who will fight for what you deserve, I recommend Nasyr Asmi.

I decided to use their service to review my severance package. After the initial consultation they convinced me that I was entitled to more money so I ended up using them again to draft a demand letter. Long story short, HR completely picked apart the letter and I ended up settling with the initial offer. I also had to pay another $1300. I felt like they were not looking out for my best interest and they were not very responsive. I would not use their services again.

Typically, my company used suspension as the stick to force Covid vaccine compliance. Again small inquiring is not really helpful just a money grab. Most of the stuff is pretty obvious. Unless you have the money to fight and sure about the case they are not really worth it. Unless it was an obvious case of a wrongful dismissal save your money and move on. Other then that very professional firm.

ABSOLUTELY AWLFUL EXPERIENCE!
With the new labour issues arising out of the forced release of private medical information, mandated vaccinations of an experimental gene injection and mandated genetic testing my adult son required a consultation.

Athanasios Makrinos is ill-informed with respect to the tsunami of people who are seeking labour lawyers.
If you were not interested in this case, don't waste peoples time or money.

This consultation was not researched, and in no way worth a full hour fee of $452.
There was no mention of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Canadian Human Rights Act, and Bill S-201 was mentioned only as, not pertinent.

It was out of this Jr lawyers league.
The consultation lasted only 15 minutes with both perspective client and labour lawyer getting heated.
Being let go from his trade union training and job prospects, my son is ultimately the only person affected by his situation and it would be understandable that he would become emotional/heated.
Athanasios Makrinos should have said I am sorry this is not a case for me and send him on his way without charging a fee.
This would have be the respectful and compassionate thing to do. Instead, knowing that he was no longer working, he charged the full fee!

It is shameful to the legal profession that you would not re-imburse this fee for the wasted 15 minutes of time where you were not understanding the scope, not to mention being knowledgeable enough of the current labour problems and corresponding codes, legislation and laws.

I sent an email to both Athanasios Makrinos (Jr. Associate) and David Whitten (Sr. Associate) since Athan ignored my previous email, to no reply from either one. I have just sent an email directly to David Whitten in hopes that he will correct this situation and provide the requested full refund.

Knowledgeable, kind, professional, and worth every penny. I was very impressed and satisfied with Daniel Chodos’ services. I feel like he went the extra mile for me. If there was anything I didn’t understand or was hesitant about, he took the time to explain, game plan and rationalize things with/for me. Super satisfied and would highly recommend to anyone. I hired Whitten Lublin based on the reviews on here. The first couple of meetings went well so I decided to proceed with my case. I paid the retainer and hired Ryan Watkins. After paying the retainer, Ryan would not respond for days and I would not receive an "out of office". I was not happy with the offer and did some research on my own that I passed onto Ryan which he passed onto counsel. WHY am I doing the research and paying for a lawyer and doing the work? When I would ask a question I was told that we were waiting for counsel to come back. I never was given any advice on how to proceed with my case. I was shocked to find out that the settlement I would receive would be less than the settlement amount since I was still being paid but was on short term disability. Ryan never informed me that this was a possibility. I do not feel like my case was handled well and would not recommend Whitten and Lublin to anyone. I am very disappointed.

I met with Mr. Lublin last Friday. He was very direct and to the point which is exactly what I was looking for. He methodically went through the history that I had provided him and his thorough review of my case helped me make a more informed decision. Thank you.

I was in need of an employment lawyer and I came across Whitten & Lublin. I contacted the lawyer firm and set up an appointment with David Whitten. David had a very good understanding of my situation and practically solved all the issues on our first meeting. He was very attentive to details and he picked up hints and useful points that I had overlooked. He is a very patient listener and I was able to take my time to present my story and concerns. Before the end of our first meeting, he had already formulated a course of action setting out the final goal and range of expectations. When I asked about the fees, I was very surprised to hear from David that it would be way less expensive for me to take on the hourly fee option. I was not expecting a lawyer would say that.
