Kudos to the butcher/meat section, bakery, and produce and fruits sections. I love Whole Foods for the overall presentation and quality and it will remain my go-to while I'm in the area. The Indian cashiers encountered have always been pleasant and made my shopping experiences positive. The folks at the prepared food section have also been great to deal with!

Wife sent me to whole food to find stuff to can and the staff were helpful and nice. When I ask for help finding things needed. We'll be shopping there again.

Inaccessible signs, otherwise good selection of healthy food options.

When I walked in, I loved the look of the place and the options for healthy food. It's pricey, as all groceries are now. I was very surprised at the signs in the aisles because they were so hard to read, even with my glasses on. I don't believe there's enough contrast between the letters and the background colours of the signage. I think it would be best for everyone - visually-impaired or not - if these signs are changed to a more legible, accommodating font colour/contrast to help guide the patrons better, more efficiently.

A few weird things have laughable prices, but overall the quality and variety are very good. They also have some of the least annoying self-checkout machines. No partial foods for this patron. 4/4.

The pizza very tasty and burritos and tacos delicious! Good quality of flowers, and soap and bath oils and stuff.

Whole Foods is a natural and biological grocery store in Ottawa Ontario. Prices are somewhat reasonable a bit expensive compare to the one I go to in Montreal.

Summer 2023
Staff is friendly. Great selection of food. Veggies and fruits are very fresh. They carry many brands that you can't find in other stores. The price tag is high so you have to know what is worth buying and what is not.
Two things I find unfortunate and strange. One. You can't buy freshly cut cutcolds from the deli counter (unheard of in all my years of grocery shopping). Two. They do not honor deposits paid on older glass bottles and jars purchased at Whole Foods - leaving the customer stuck with empties they paid a deposit for.

I ordered Pizza for the first time in a long while and it was really disappointing. I've had it before and loved it. This time, however, the crust was so tough! The good news is that my green bin gets picked up today so the pizza won't be in my fridge reminding me of the money I wasted. Despite the pizza fiasco, I'd recommend this store to my friends and family

Great place where to eat and get groceries! I am giving the 3 stars because the bakery section is terrible!
30 June 2023 19:02
Love the setup and vibe of this store. Great spots to sit down for a coffee near the entrance or upstairs opposite the cashiers. There's even a water fountain. The ladies'washroom is clean; it is at the corner opposite to the cash registers.

Healthy positive energy. Pricey but some things are great deals, like the sourdough bread, and others are just worth it, like the pakoras.

I am really disappointed by my recent shopping experience at the Whole Foods in Ottawa. I went there last Saturday to buy groceries. The main reason I go there is to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and interesting products that I can’t get in Arnprior. I purchased a container of arugula that said best before November 25. Went to have it for dinner today and the whole thing was rotting and disgusting. I would take it back but I live an hour away from the store. The selection of leafy greens that day were all round very poor. I hoped the arugula would be okay. Very disappointing!

There are some good food products here, quite expensive though. One major thing I dislike here though is the amount of plastic clamshells used, especially in the vegetable section. I understand this is the general trend among many large chains, but Whole Foods could provide a great example by moving away from plastic.
14 December 2021 8:28
The food was absolutely delicious and the catering staff went above and beyond my expectations. I cannot thank them enough for all of their assistance!
09 December 2021 9:58
Great location they will pay for your parking up to 40 minutes expensive in some areas but there deli is the best
25 September 2021 4:30
If Whole Foods is the vision of Ottawa's gig future then we're all poorer for it. Overpriced, elitist and completely superfluous items presented for pure "flex" factor. I would instead strongly recommend community stores such as Herbs and Spice or pretty much any other chain supermarket store ovet Whole Foods.

Whole Foods grocery store provides lots of selection of organic and fresh produce at a slightly higher price. But with that price I believe there is better quality. There is a wide selection of "ready to eat meals" and food bars to make convenient quick food selections. They also promote local farmers stock on their shelves, which I like.

I found the store layout confusing. For example, there are several different brands and sizes of bottled drinking water scattered throughout the store and isles. There are also other similar in store products also equally dispersed, such as; ready to serve meals and fresh fruit/ natural juice drinks. This added time for me to search for what I wanted and made it more difficult to comparison shop to determine which one I wanted to purchase. However, it didn't stop me from shopping, but because I was mindful of the time limits in free paid parking it did impact how much I purchased.

At this location there is 1.5 hours of free redeemable underground parking under the stadium. Just present the parking ticket at checkout and the free time will be added to the parking ticket. Then when leaving the elevator in the parking lot area there is a parking kiosk to validate the parking. Insert your card at the kiosk and then again at the exit gate, then you are good to go. This system was simple and does work well.

If you like my reviews, photos or videos give them a whole thumbs up

Really nice place. They offer fast food they prepare for you. I had the burrito, wow! Really tasty. Good service and clean.
18 August 2021 16:15
Clean, bright store but expensive! We checked it out just out of curiosity, this is not your regular supermarket so don't expect to find all of your regular brands here.

Here in Quebec we have Avril which I visit often, is alot nicer and more competitively priced.

Whole foods has a weird vibe, we bought 2 bottles of water and left to go to Loblaws.
24 July 2021 21:42
Honestly I don't know why I've never been here before. Went in last night to check it out. Wow! The have all the things I've been looking for that I couldn't find at other stores. And the produce is unreal. Prices aren't too bad either, but get some stuff on sale if you can. Will definitely be going back!

Good for people with Orthorexia Nervosa. It’s expensive here, but the condition seems to disproportionately affect people in rich neighbourhoods, so it makes sense to put a Whole Foods in the Glebe. Idk how normal people afford to shop here though. Using Whole Foods WiFi to post this rn. +1 for good WiFi!
13 October 2020 16:20
If you're looking for the highest quality and don't mind paying for it. This is your store. Staff are great, they've adapted very well to our new way of life.
12 June 2019 6:15
I used to love this place but I’ve noticed changes that are aimed at increasing profits but are not sustainable, which is making whole foods expensive with no advantages. For example, using non compostable food containers and getting rid of the compost bins. Yet the prices continue to increase.

Their employees are still nice and they do carry certain things that are harder to get elsewhere, however I no longer buy my regular groceries from here.
05 June 2019 14:59
This whole foods actually has really good coffee, a great cafe to work during the day, free wifi, and some pretty good beers on tap. Lots of seating too so I work here pretty often when I need to get out of the house.
03 June 2019 23:47
Went to this place for lunch. They serve a buffer style food bar. There are so many selection and they all look tasty. They have protein, salad, carbohydrates and drink sections. It's not cheap but the foods are well cooked with quality ingredients.
01 June 2019 6:19
On the pricier side, but that's what you have to expect going to whole foods. There's underground paid parking, but they validate and it's free for 45 mins or under.

It was a big store with lots of options, just baffles me that for certain items there no variety. For example, they carry ONE option for prosciutto. And it was $15 for a package.
30 May 2019 15:59
You can find a real good quality products. Organics, fresh fruits and vegetables. High quality products and good variety of products
26 May 2019 5:13
I have lunch their many times a week, and they truly have fresh made dishes that taste amazing. They also have a lot of fresh foods to buy from (supermarket). They really have it all!
23 May 2019 20:57
Pricey but everything you would expect and extremely nice and knowledgeable staff. Many lunch time choices in there warm and cold buffet.
10 May 2019 9:51
As much as I strive and love to support both independent & Canadian businesses, I'm really happy to have Whole Foods in Ottawa, and like that there is a one-stop shop for all of my needs & wants • This may be something that those without specific dietary restrictions take for granted, but for many of us leading vegan, gluten-free lives, or who simply aim to be more conscious, this store is a dream!

I've done a lot of price comparisons on all of my standard grocery items, as well, and have found little to no difference in most products, so can't help wondering if a lot of the complaints about prices aren't exaggerated • Whole Foods have also saved me a fortune on shipping costs for items I'd previously only been able to find online, so everything balances out nicely for me & I'm grateful!

Staff here are always really friendly, and I don't think I've ever been greeted or served without a smile • this is so hard to find, these days!

All of that, and my friends & I love eating here, too • It's a great meeting place and everyone can find something they love, including vegan mochi!

My only hope would be that they add more gluten-free items to their hot & cold bar/buffet; that's it, though!

I went back again yesterday out of sheer hunger and desperation.:/ The self-serve 'buffet' is low quality food that is expensive! $$. $16 for a small box of gross unhealthy food that left me hungry after: (In fact most things in the store are overpriced. The burritos or pizza ain't bad, but you are still getting low quality watery meat in the Burrito. Bottomline: the 'flagship' of landsdowne is a disappointment

Supermarket for organic and natural food, cosmetics and supplements. And ready to eat food.eat in or take out. US chain.

OMG Didn't even know this place existed. We placed a catering order for approx 40 people because my brother was renting a house while visiting from BC. He is a chef and had been frequenting other locations Whole Foods Mrkt which he promised I would love, he was right. A bit on the higher end on prices but their catering was too notch, delicious, and their store is brightly lit rows of produce, bakery goods, the best top quality healthily raised grass fed steaks and chicken.etc. I now some people refer to this store as whole pay check market but this just means you get what you pay for. You should check them out.they carry foods you may not find elsewhere and/or no they even existed.

Bring back the silver haired barista. Also, the bearded ginger guy in customer service was helpful. Thanks! Please also bring in loon kombucha, the general Tao mock chicken bite “chicken” pieces for retail sale (like refrigerated), cream cheese brownies in larger containers and sea salt caramel chocolates.

I was surprised. When this location first opened in Ottawa I was staggered by the price. Having gone back recently to kill time, I was pleasantly surprised with how much better the prices had gotten. Still not as cheap as a typical grocer and definitely appealing for those people who desire, gluten free, vegan, veggie, organic, non-gmo stuff {no offense ;P } but even if you want a healthy lunch they have an excellent make your own meal counter that is pretty reasonable (considering its fresh and delicious as hell).

Would just like to share. Applied for fulltime grocery job here. I get to my interview and felt good I have over 30 years grocery experience. So I thought I would get this and had a good interview. Then the manager tells me he hired to people that morning. My question is why not cancel interview with me and not waste my time if u already hired 2 people probably with no experience or students. Its unprofessional and your wasting peoples time. Then he was nice enough to refer me to produce manager and he gives me interview and it was good. Said he would call me Monday or Tuesday and I ended up calling him. Said he had another interview set for someone today and he would call me today. But again doesn't have the balls to call he emails me. Very unprofessional, I know it was because of my age. The owner should look into this.
03 February 2019 2:02
Yes, it's expensive; yes, it's yuppue af; and, yes, some of the staff are not knowledgeable. That said, selection is in a league of its own, some product experts demo choice specialty items, and the quality is there. Also, pricing is actually lower than the same items at similar mom-&-pop happy-chickens grocers.
30 January 2019 7:26
Best looking, overpriced produce you’ll find in town. Everything is well organised and clean, and the bakery and food bars have a amazing variety of food.

From vegetarian, vegan to gluten free options. You’ll be spoilt for choice.
24 January 2019 21:53
Personally, I believe the food is overpriced. However, the fair trade soaps are super great. I bought 3 for 7 dollars a few months ago and I still haven't ran out; super great quality and smells absolutely amazing! It's always great to have the assurance you are supporting something ethical.
18 January 2019 11:07
Lots of selection. Produce always seems to go bad within a couple days. Items made in store are very expensive.
08 January 2019 12:10
Great selection, excellent service and reasonable prices. Clean and always a pleasure to shop here!
04 January 2019 22:49
Many good selections with food, albeit expensive, especially meat and poultry. I find the fish is often not fresh, and I was told by one of the staff that it can be up to 5-6 days old! Not good. The checkout at lunchtime can be very slow.
25 December 2018 13:19
Overpriced and not that unique but they do have some great stuff on the buffet and omg the vegan mochi balls.
08 November 2018 17:43
This place is very disorganized. I had my interview on October 16,2018 around 10: 15am.

The interview lasted about five minutes and the person seemed disinterested. The kitchen manager interviewed me, he stated that I was over qualified for the position and said I would be better suited for a position as a prep cook, which would entail preparing pizzas and burritos.
He said that the company does three rounds of interviews and said I would be called later that day to come in tomorrow for the second round.

I received no call after I left this place.

I will not consider seeking employment at Whole Foods again because of how I was treated.
