Wilbur Mexicana

Looks good idea is amazing but the food is way below average. Quesadilla tasted as if it was made 2 days ago and warmed up in a microwave. Tacos were decent though.

Highly recommend. Good for a quick bite, take out, or nice long table hang out with friends.

Plenty of hot sauces, serve yourself salsas, and taco options.

Will be back!

It's a fast casual restaurant. The food is amazing. The hot sauce options are a nice touch. Good vibes. Friendly staff. However, The prices are on the higher side given that you can get tacos at a full service restaurant for similar prices

Every time I find myself downtown I always navigate towards Wilbur. They never disappoint. I order off the ritual app before heading there to either pick it up or just find a free spot and eat there. Great vibes.

Quite possible the best Mexican Food Place on the map. This fast paced Mexican restaurant has a salsa bar and a rack of hot sauce. Try anything on the menu… you can’t go wrong. This place has an amazing atmosphere and incredible food! Treat yourself to a great Mexican experience!

Salsa bar was great.they arent messing around with the ghost salsa.asada burrito and classic quesadilla both tasty.guac was fresh and comes with tons of chips.best mex food i've tasted so far in Toronto.

I was a regular here for many years and this was one of my favourite taco places in the city but the bang for buck has decreased so significantly that the last time I wanted to order I decided not to. It started quite a while back with going from a large side of chips to a handful, and the chips were often stale. Then, they stopped offering the street corn for the majority of the year, fine when it's not great/in season. Then they brought it back on the menu, but it's almost $9. And the tacos are now a ridiculous $7-8 each. If I'm going to drop $40-50 on a meal for one, a quick meal taco joint is not where I'm going to do it.

Best tacos in Toronto, you wont be disappointed! I've been there every weekend since I tried it. Must have the street corn. Be prepared to stand and eat, or take out, since there is literally no space to sit on most busy nights. Did I even mention the fresh salsa bar?

Update April 2023: just found out that dine in is back!

Hands down the best food establishment in Toronto (Maybe even Canada). Visit here multiple times a month because it’s just that good.

This place never dissapoints! Great, fresh tasting tacos every time. My favs are the fish, Korean beef (spicy) and the chicken tinga. I love that the tacos actually have great toppings with the option to add additional toppings. Also love that they give the choice to select corn or flour tortillas for most of their tacos. This place always satisfies my taco craving and Is well worth making the 30 min drive!

The food here is absolutely delicious. There was a long line when I went but I could understand why. Everything was super fresh and staff were nice as well.

Awesome tacos and Mexican food! Have been wanting to stop here for a while and finally got a chance to stop by for dinner. Lots of great options to choose from. We tried 5 of the different tacos and enjoyed them all. Will be back again.

Tried a variety of taco types when we ordered and we enjoyed every type, from the more classic styles to the fusion (bulgogi) tacos. The addition of free nachos with each order and the choice of fresh salsas (with heat/spice ratings labeled in graphic form) were delicious and added to the experience. Would definitely visit again!

After reading the reviews I was really expecting more food for the money. $5-6 per taco and they’re this small? Definitely not the loaded tacos that i’ve seen in the other reviews.and 6 chips tortilla chips? The chips are more confusing than anything.i didn’t even order chips but i guess they come on the side, i have no idea why they gave me only 6 though.i’d probably be less upset if they just gave me none

Love this place. Great value. I usually get the burrito bowl and am very happy with it. Friendly staff and fun vibe, too.

I’ve only had great experiences with Wilbur Mexicana! The food is top notch. Whether it’s a burrito bowl, or tacos they put extra care into producing the best looking food that’s packed with flavour. I also love the extras bar where you can get extra pineapple salsa for your tacos.

Shrimp and mushroom quesadilla was excellent. The Baja fish tacos are the best I've ever tasted. Great service and selection of hot sauces.

Came here line was a little long and took some time to get order but the tacos were AMAZING. Also the choice of hot sauces was impressive.

I have only had Wilbur through Uber Eats. The tacos and their bowls are so good. I’ve had the Cali and Original and both are amazing. Wilbur’s chips and guacamole is my favorite in the city— perfectly seasoned!

Very friendly service but that's where it ends. Burritos were super expensive and weren't massive for the price. I'm not sure if you can customize them but I'd have liked it spicier. My friends Cali Burrito had sweet potato in it? He definitely did not care for his.

Hands down, the best tacos in Toronto. The service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. The price is well worth the quality of the ingredients. I will be returning on a weekly basis!

Nice TexMex resturant. They have tacos, burritos and bowls. The food quality is good. The menu is limited, but I think they have all good stuff. Try the tacos, Fish taco specially and of course pair it with one of the Mexican beear that they have.

Really good tacos, and a wide selection of fresh and bottled sauces. The fish taco is particularly nice. Would definitely return.

I think this place makes great tacos, but not the best in Toronto. What gives them and edge, and why I gave them 5 stars rather than 4, is their amazing selection of salsas and hot sauces. There are do many options and endless flavour combations to top your tacos with and it makes the experience of eating here really fun.

There isn't any indoor dine-in at the moment but it is an amazing spot to grab food and go, or eat on the patio. The bulgogi (beef) and fish tacos are really good. The avocado taco was alright but would be a good vegetarian option. Staff was nice and there is a salsa bar with 7 or so options to take with you.

I found the avocado one a bit bland but they have wonderful spread of sauces that can help!

The bulgogi beef taco is the best and their salsa verda is a must have with every meal! Will probably never stop ordering from here.

Although a bit pricey, the tacos are excellent. The chicken is thoroughly seasoned and the salsa options are mouth watering. One of the employees there (tall white male with a cap) was very polite and welcoming. I will most definitely be going back.

We had a great at this spot. We enjoyed the excellent vibes and the meals. The staff members are very attentive. I am happy we finally managed to eat here.

Love their Paloma on tap and baja taco but really dislike how you can only order through ritual app even if you’re standing outside the restaurant. I understand during Covid safety is priority but there should be other options. It’s such a put off, the government has now allowed indoor dining and Wilbur isn’t even giving an option to place the order on phone or other frequent used apps.

I would recommend trying this place out. I am a fan of Tex-mex and all foods of the Mexican origin. The freshness of the guacamole is key and the food has a great spice to it.

SO bomb. First time here but already know I'm coming back for their carne asada burrito and selection of amazing sauces.

Not only is the food awesome, but the service is mighty quick. If you're in the area, I recommend placing an order on Ritual and going to pick it up yourself. It'll be ready by the time you get there!

The salsa bar is nice with a couple options and their tacos are nice if you’re in the area. Service is fairly quick through Ritual. Tacos are pretty good but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to go here.

You can’t go wrong with Wilbur! The staff is awesome, always super nice when you visit! The food is delicious, it’s relatively fast as well so you aren’t waiting forever to get your food. The tacos, quesadillas and queso dip are my go tos! I will almost always order the same things.
Indoor dining is fun here in the summer time, they have a great indoor section with communal seating or private tables, as well as a great patio!

This place is crazy good. Never had better Mexican food! The food is rich and delicious. As long as you walk into the restaurant you can smell the amazing food, it's mouth watering. I love it!

Great tacos here. The beef was great. Tacos are well seasoned and a good amount of protein. The hot sauce selection is fantastic! If you can handle the heat try the habanero. The patio is great considering the times we live in now. Place gets packed in the evenings.

I have been ordering Wilbur for over a year and it has remained the most consistent restaurant in regards to food quality, quick service and friendly staff!

Normally I would order for collection however, I have recently ordered via a food delivery app and it arrives perfect!

The best Mexican food I’ve tried in Toronto! Is it authentic? Not overly! That being said, it is so freaking good! Their selection is amazing and hit a wide range of needs!

This is the perfect place to go if you want a hip, tasty joint with a fantastic atmosphere!

Amazing burrito bowls. I usually get the original and customize how I want. They also have lots of sauce options which is great!

Everyone I bring here loves this spot (including the chipotle fans).

My favorite items are the tacos (I always choose crispy corn tortillas) and the mexican street corn.

Annoying. You have to order through ritual which charges considerably more than the menu. You can’t order in the place itself. Ends up costing more. Not worth it.

I'm addicted to the queso fundido. SO GOOD and just the right amount of spice. I wish they sold bigger portions of it. I've tried all the tacos by now and you really can't go wrong. My faves are the bulgogi, carne asada and baja fish tacos. The guys there are super friendly as well!

Wilbur is amazing. Cool atmosphere and awesome decor. Tacos are small but delicious so if you’re hungry definitely order at least three. Fajitas and burritos are much bigger and portion size for those is legit. The variety of hot sauces and the sauce bar really makes this place stand out from other Mexican restaurants. Staff is also super friendly and place is neat and tidy. Definitely one of my favourite Mexican spots in the city.

This place is amazing, the Burrito bowls are the best. They have great sauce selection (Pineapple Salsa and the medium sauce are my favourite.

All in all great staff and great food.

The food is great but the overall process to order is a bit messy. In the winter the line doesn’t go outside and squishes everyone inside with no clear line boundaries haha. You order first then sit down to wait for your food. We were told if we order something that we can then order more food with the servers and don’t have to wait in line. Except we tried asking three separate servers for another taco and all of them said no and finally agreed when the cashier said she had approved? Bit confusing on the rules there but the foods always amazing here. Just prefer when it’s less busy.

Amazing place. Location sucks. No parking. And the place is full of skinny suit wearing weirdos. But the food is amazing and the serving size is twice what you would get at Kelsey or lone star. Open sauce Buffett and at least 90 different hot sauces to try. That you can also buy. Staff was super friendly. Can't wait to go back

One of the best Mexican places in the city. Hot sauce wall is a must for those who love to try different sauces. Fajitas and quesadillas are top choices!

Average Mexican fair imo. Unoriginal and unfocused courses, and not nearly as good Campechano or even Grand Electric. Great location and setting though, and the prices are reasonable at least.

The restaurant offers sooo many different spices, it is unbelievable. I especially enjoyed the relax and nicely decorated interior, perfect spot for a short lunch break.

The service here is really bad. They always have a long lineup at lunch. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, and they mixed up and served me chicken instead. That was the last time for me here. Did not expect that from a place like this.

Good food but very small portions. Service was very unsatisfactory. The cashier did not listen carefully to my husbands order and proceeded to charge him for the wrong thing. When it was brought to the waiters attention, they made him wait near the kitchen for a good 10 minutes only to have him pay the for the difference in price even though it was the cashiers fault. My husband then had to wait another 15 minutes to get his food and by that time the rest of our group were already done eating. A really bad experience for a first time.

Tacos were underwhelming. Not bad, but not great either. Loud atmosphere, prices are expensive for counter service with no real bar. I expect to pay $4.45 for a taco at a nicer sit down restaurant with a bar and table service, not a cafeteria. The salsas were only ok. Guacamole was ok, pretty salty. The chips were delicious.

Always on the top of my list, Wilbur has never done me wrong. I always order the fish and avocado Tacos, they are very filling and exploding with flavor. The addition of the salsa bar makes it even more exciting when you actually do receive your food, there is a variety to choose from based off of spice levels, my favorite being the mango salsa. The environment is very fun, ALWAYS busy, ALWAYS a line up, if you go there and there isn't a line it must be a snow day because this place is just too popular. The only thing i wish they could change is their Guac and Chips. I recently tried the Guac and Chips, and was a little disappointing because the chips are great they are freshly hand made but the Guac has zero flavor, it literally tasted like they blend the avocado in a blender with the skin still on it. This left me a little disappointed because your paying 6.50 for something I just ended up throwing out. All in All a very great place and even better being in the heart of King Street.

A Mexican eatery that stands out from the other restaurants around it. With quality foods and service that comes at an easy price, complimented by a clean, open, and friendly atmosphere. What makes it unique is a counter full of a dozen hot sauces and salsas all arranged from fresh to extra hot. It's easy to see why this location is a 'hot' spot in the neighbourhood.

Great flavours, service, and pricing! The casual ambiance is fun and easygoing. It’s always clean and the salsa bar is a nice touch. We’re regulars here when we want something quick, casual, and delicious! Highly recommend.

For 26 bucks we got two beers a small costco grade flour tortilla and a spoonful of meat and toppings.we walked out of there hungry. There's a reason that pizza pizza is still open a half block away.we went there right after. 2 stars for atmosphere only.

I've been here a number of times now and each time has been brilliant! The shrimp and shrooms quesadilla is delicious, and a lot of the meals are served with a side of chips and guacamole. The food is super affordable and the Paloma cocktail on tap is awesome. Highly recommend, will continue to go back!
