The nurses and registration staff are absolutely lovely. They’re very friendly, understanding and sympathetic which is a nice way to be welcomed when you’re feeling unwell.
I have visited this urgent care three times over the years and unfortunately, I’ve gotten the same doctor each time. He always gives the impression that he’s too busy to truly listen to your symptoms. I’ve been misdiagnosed by this doctor two separate times in the last three years and one of them resulted in me needing surgery to remove an organ after I suffered for weeks after he told me it’s just a sore muscle (he didn’t examine me in any way or so any tests to come to that conclusion).
I understand that the wait times are a lot less than BGH or other urgent care clinics and the nurses are nice but the medical care that is provided is garbage and not worth saving an hour or two.
Went in for chronic panic attacks that I have had almost a month. Wait time was fine. The intake nurse was simply wonderful. Then I went to another room and a Dr came in and spent zero time listening to our concerns. He was absolutely of no help whatsoever. He dismissed this is a psychiatric issue. Even I knew it wasn’t that. Total waste of my time as I was made to feel his was too.
When I need medical advice or medical aid of any kind this is my go-to place. I dont mind waiting for excellent healthcare. Kindness, empathy, and professionalism is to be found here. Thank You to the Staff of The Willett Urgent care centre, truly, for everything you do.
The wait time was wonderful! I went there because I needed a 2nd opinion & I was in pain. I could hardly walk due to swollen ankle. Told the Dr everything that I had been through over the last few days. He then said, "What do you want me to do? " I said, "tell me what is wrong with it". He then looked @ my foot, felt it a few times & said, "All the bad things have been ruled out. Stay off it.crutches or Air Boot". Asked if I needed a Dr note & what I wanted him to write. I was totally not impressed at all.
While sitting in the hallway The staff have no consideration for patients waiting to see the Dr It’s was mostly the behind the scenes staff They let the exit door slam and the patient registration door too Please teach them not to slam doors It’s only takes a few seconds to hold on the door while going through it and shut it quietly Yea I know you’re going to laugh at my comment it’s only common sense especially working in a hospital
The few times I've been here have always gone so well. I'd rather wait 2-3 hours at the willett instead of 7hours + at the Brantford General. Tip: get there before 7pm to get a spot. Can't blame them for not taking anyone past that time. Staff wanna go home too.
Great place if you need URGENT care, although I have seen people without family doctor getting help there. Staff and doctors are attentive and understanding. My first choice when I cant reach my Fam. Physician.
Wonderful experience! I’m truly happy I chose to go to the Willett instead of Brantford General. I was treated great by all the staff and had a caring doctor! Don’t mind the wait at all, if you’re going to the hospital, you have to except to wait…. Your not the only person there, someone else may be worse off than you!
It’s hard to give a fare rating because I couldn’t even get in the door. Tried going to Urgent care instead of an emergency department, wait times showed 1: 30 hours Here instead of 3: 30 at closest emergency department. Got there and sign at door said not taking any more patients. Maybe if I can get wait times on-line I should get this fact as well. I know this is a symptom of politicians who are destroying our healthcare system and not the people who work here but the lack of patient intake info is on the facility.
I have taken my son here twice and I am not impressed, the first time I was told he likely had strep and bronchiolitis so they gave him a oral steroid (which his pediatrician afterwards told me doesn't help bronchiolitis so not sure why they gave it to him). She thought he also had an ear infection so she gave him antibiotics and referred us to be seen by the PARS clinic at BGH the following day where the dr there questioned the prescription because it wasn't the correct dose. The second time I brought him in was for a suspected ear infection to which the dr who we only saw for 5 mins tops, barely checked him over and checked his ears very quickly.said everything was fine and he is likely just fighting something viral. I find it hard to believe that the dr was able to see in his right ear at all due to the amount of wax in it, which has been a challenge for most drs the last 8 months, He is the first dr to not bring up the excessive amount of wax in his ear to the point they can barely see in his ear.here we are 2 days later and I'm about to take him to the hospital because he is once again getting worse and not better after almost a week. He is now wheezing and coughing like crazy - he is prone to ear and throat infections which i expressed and asked for a swab but was told that it wouldn't change the way that we treat this. Honestly felt the dr didn't really care and shrugged it off.
I thought I would give this location another shot but honestly a waste of time.
My family and I have used the Urgent Care department for years. I'm shocked at the low ratings. We have always been treated quickly and by very competent doctors and nurses. The wait time is usually very quick. Staff are very friendly! We love this Urgent Care! Ignore the negative reviews!
Don’t go to visit your loved ones who are in the semi long term care, you will be told you can’t bring your kids in (even if the social rooms are completely empty). The ignorant lady, who will make it her job to have an issue with you, will go out of her way to throw her “authority “ around. No other problems with any 25-30 workers in 3 months. But, this one lady hates her life and wants you to hate yours too while you’re there. Beware, DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES TO VISIT OTHER LOVED ONES - YOU WILL BE TOLD TO LEAVE.
My 5 year old daughter went here due to a sore mouth, and the doctor told my wife that my daughter had oral herpes as per his Google search. This was a ridiculous diagnosis. So we went to the walk in and was diagnosed with thrush, given antibiotics and now she’s fine. I guess they’ll hire anyone who can use Google at this office.
Went in at 1940 after injuring my foot today post fall. Suspecting a fracture and had my wife drive me in. I was told at the door the doctor is not taking any more patients and that if it's an emergency I am to go to Brantford General. This Urgent care is listed to be open until 9pm. This could have been a simple fast x ray but instead a waste of a drive. Not pleased
Best experience I’ve had at a medical facility in a while. Quick and efficient. Also didn’t push narcotics for my pain, which is a step up from most ER.
We like this urgent care because there is efficient, quick service, and good stuff, specially Dr Clark is super nice, awesome. He has warm hart, kind and compassion. We are very pleased and satisfied from the care we received
Staff were pleasant and it was quick but don't go here if you need a feed tube that has fallen out replaced. Was told Doctor was unable to do this as they had never done it before. So you will have to spend 5+ hours at ER for a 5 minute procedure.
