I'm here right now and this is the worst place ever I told them my pain is 10 out of 10 and they still don't care. The doctor left for 1 hour and a half before actually checking me

There's a reason this hospital has such low ratings. The only reason I didn't give a one-star rating is because of two amazing and caring nurses I had: one was named was Neeka, the other nurse was an older South Asian woman but I can't remember her name. Other than that the majority of staff I came across couldn't care less about their job. I heard at least two nurses openly swearing in casual conversations with other nurses. How professional. Some of the night nurses disappear for hours and then say they were taking a break. The doctors here are also quite insensitive and spent no more than a minute talking to me. My first morning there the doctor didn't even see me, he just told the nurse to discharge me "because they need my bed. " Trust me, I didn't WANT to be there, but I was completely immobile and in excruciating pain. Two physiotherapists were sent to assist me. Even with large amounts of painkillers, they couldn't get me out of bed to sit, let alone stand or walk. They advised the doctor that I wasn't ready to be sent home. On top of all that, I was admitted in a room with a dementia patient who talked loudly all day and night. So on my third night of not being able to sleep I asked for a sleeping pill and wasn't given one. After the 5th day of being admitted my family arranged for a medical transfer with the help of a kind admin woman out of that useless hospital and I got care elsewhere. While being discharged, I got copies of the notes from the doctors who had seen me. The next doctor outside of Etobicoke General who assessed me scoffed at these notes which said my "leg strength is 5/5, " when in reality considering I couldn't stand on my left leg at all it was more like a 1/5.

They're milking our health care system. Took 2 days to REdo a cast, kept my father in law for 8 days total.why? Nobody to do the discharge. 2nd time it happened. If the is a choice, go to Humber.

My 93 year old Mother is there now in the ER. They lost her chart and have to do her test all over again. So incompetent!

I had an urgent health crisis which could not be met at a clinic.
I was in EGH 3.5 days (Thanksgiving weekend), in Emerg and 6th Floor Medicine.
It seemed like the hospital was filled over capacity, but I received excellent care from doctors, nurses and support staff!
They were all kind and worked hard to get my problem solved so that I was able to return home.
I thank all of you very much!

I went to ER yesterday. Doctors and Nurses were amazing. I am glad i chose to go there. It took some time but its usual as they had so many
patients waiting there.

Worst hospital. We can hear 2 and until 5 our name was not called. We have no idea how the process work. What kind of emergency it is. We went to urgent care at morning 4 and sitting here until 5, roughly it’s more than 12 hours. Still our problem is not being diagnosed. What kind of services these people are giving. Very very bad experience

If I could give this hospital a 0 out of 5 I would have. It's a hospital full of students that are not supervised properly. The doctors are ok but the staff and nurses are to be questioned. Secondly the neglect of patients is phenomenon. My love one is in there over 4 months now and instead of getting better is getting worse because of neglect not because of why she went in there. I've contacted the complaint board on several occasions and no one gets back to you. A staff member mentioned to me that seniors are not taken care of well there that they neglect them so their chances of coming out is slim. I can not even say on here what he told me. So my advice is if you or someone that you love is ill and you can make it to another hospital try your best to go there. Research the hospital. This hospital is not it.

Patient experience would leave their number for you to contact them but they have an recording which is pointless.

Hope u don’t get old geezer Dr Hanna, he may kill you. Visited twice in 2 mos.for severe trigeminal attacks/ sinus, and forced the same antibiotic that didn’t work the first time! My eyes watering from facial pain that almost made me pee myself, he not only refused me pain or inflammation relief but compensated for his ignorance of trigeminal pain with a combative attitude. Failed to write #days on my script too. Hope I don’t die of meningitis like that American kid last year from untreated sinus infection.that’s what u get for Canadian “free” healthcare. Wish they cut his pay like pain and inability to breathe cut mine. Might as well go on welfare and all meds covered. My lawyer says don’t be surprised if they tamper with my patient file when he finds I outed him. Update: after inadequate treatment last few ER visits, I was shocked by the thoroughness I received after bringing a (man) friend along. I was finally taken seriously (by a Dr. D’Souza) and given adequate medications for the first time. There need to be more Indian doctors, as others can’t seem to handle the job

Wheelchair parking is way too far from front doors to be effective for someone to manage on their own if they have mobility issues like myself.

Useless hospital don’t waste your time going here. You are better off resting at home because you’ll get more use out of that then these pointless people at this hospital.

The behaviour of the nurse in emergency department was very rude.she got mad for waking her up from sleep…
I recommend hospital to get some behaviour classes for their staff so that they know how to talk & behave with patients

Worst staff in radiologists unit. 3 time they change appointment time for ultrasound for my 4 year son.he is so crying and when i ask lady why you change appointment time.she replies you want ultrasound or not.so rud

The staff in the emergency section specially the night shift are soo rude and mean to patients. Such horrible staffs

So they tell me I have an appointment at Etobicoke general hospital they don't tell me what for I call Etobicoke general hospital every time I call they talk over me and say they can't help me they won't even let me explain the situation they are the worst and most ignorant ppl working their so yea I won't be going to that appointment.

Came with my husband to ER on Saturday April 16 around 430. The service is so bad and the staff are all stressed and willing to fight with you for no reason. Obviously we had to wait for few hours since we call this emergency. At 6 am the morning shift arrive and we had a Chinese one female one male. I asked at 8 am where we are in the process and they both jumped ans told me you have been here for 4 hours and asking 2 different nurses will not make a difference.just sitting ans watching them you can see how unefficient they are. They walk around talk. They need to have more Dr instead of adding nurses and staff to the registration desk to answer patient in rude way. I understand the job is stressful but as a patient we are allso more stressed than them. Audit need to be done to have better service and be more efficient.

If i could give 0 stars i would, i went in for chest pains waiting over an hour to be seen never received standard checks and got sent away saying there was no problem. I went to another hospital the next day and got diagnosed with pneumonia

in response: the wait time isn’t the issue the issue is me not being diagnosed.if i listened to the staff at etobicoke general hospital with them sending me home saying NOTHING is wrong with me i would’ve had a collapsed lung or faced death.i’m so grateful for the staff at Humber river hospital for getting me my diagnosis and the help i needed.

Brilliant professional and kind/caring team who couldn’t do more to make my daughter comfortable before and after her tonsillectomy! Kudos to the entire day surgery team!

We were there for a week with our 4 yr old.who had pneumonia and RSV. From the moment we walked in my daughter was given immediate attention. The nurses are pleasant and make sure your little one is taken care of. Blessed and Thankful that we decided to take our daughter to Etobicoke General.

I wish there was a rating lower than one because this hospital is actually horrible. Staff talk on the phone all day, eat while on the job, not attentive, constantly making jokes amoung other staff members, and more. I had one lady who was doing blood work on my arm. Before inserting the needle, she chooses to make conversation with a co worker about issues within the work place. That was highly unprofessional, irresponsible, and could've led her to I injecting my arm without proper care and attention. The emergency room needs plenty of work to be done with regards to training their staff. Considering hospitals have significant wait times and pressures amoung ensuring patients are properly taken care of, that does not negate the fact that courtesy and professionalism should be relevant at all times. Highly disappointed in the service received upon every visit with this hospital.

I am sorry I don't have right to say something bad about the service because no matter how we were frustrated we have to appreciate all Dr's and their staff. Thank you for everything ️

Worst hospital ever. Been waiting 3 hours to do my x-ray. And still haven’t gotten enter in the system. Why do you guys call this an emergency for? It doesn’t even give the definition of emergency.

In emergency waiting area who comes for emergency treatment they don’t have a space for setting. And who is not come for treatment they block setting area.

Poor handling and long waiting hours. Just make you sit and waste time for no reason. Even to talk to doctor you will have to go through bunch of tests and keep waiting for results. Ridiculous.

I am very disappointed with the service here. Everybody at this hospital is very incompetent and does not seem to care about people…. You should at least care about people I mean if you choose to get in to this profession. I was diagnosed with 100,000 level of Ck in my blood stream and was told I needed to rest and drink a lot of fluids. I did not get a bed until 24 hours of stay. I got 4 hours sleep then they told me they are moving me to a hallway? I refused to leave so they said I could stay. They then sent this nice Indian lady to me to lie and say they found a room for me. So she takes me on this journey around the hospital up the stairs and puts me in a hallway beside a staff lounge and staff, which will always have traffic. I have been here 2 days now, no room to sleep and my levels haven’t gone down because they are not letting me sleep. This is the worst service ever. I would never recommend this hospital to anybody unless you don’t mind careless hospitality. They say mask are mandatory, but the are trying to make me eat my food in the hallway? I am still here no change. They have made my situation worse! I have asked to see a doctor and still nothing? ! Why would you take me out of my room and place me in a hallway where I can’t rest up? I guess they rather me have kidney failure. Thanks a lot Olsen!

Time to add to this…So from I posted this, the hospital has went from bad to worst!
So since this post my doctor told me I can’t go to the gym until they know what’s going on with me. I have done numerous test and month go by and I finally get a call from …Doctor Holiday and she says “finally I have your results” and then tells me “oops I don’t know what I did with your results I have to reschedule this call at a later date. ” I asked her “ doc what’s going on with me, am I good? ”
Her response was”ummm I seem to have lost or misplaced your results, I don’t want to speak out of turn but I have to reschedule the call. ” WTH!? They haven’t called back to this day to tell me if I am ok!? I am so mad and concerned especially because I had to cancel my gym membership until I get the ok from the doctor!
I hope this makes or helps them to better deal with peoples lively hood and personal matters in a much better efficient way.

This review is firstly for Dr Kash and Kelly along with the team that performed my C section this week at the Maternity ward of EGH. They are exceptionally amazing professionals who made me feel safe, supported and gave me a very positive birth experience. The anansthesiologist was so quick and the epidural hardly hurt. My husband was right beside me the whole time. I owe my deepest gratitude to them!

The private room we opted for at the Maternity ward on check in was very clean and airy. Unfortunately the one I was transferred to post the surgery in the Postpartum ward could have been better. There was no bed for an the support person, and no one came by to clean it which led to lots of trash accumulating.

The food was good, enough to sustain you. But I would go with a semi private room in case you don't want to pay a lot for private room.

Apparently they are so lazy when it comes to their jobs that they ask family members to stay overnight and watch their relatives so that they don't have to work.

Worst experience ever. A one year child who is severely injured and is bleeding was asked to sit and wait as there was a waiting period of one and half hour. That infant was continuously crying in pain. The service of the doctors was good but what is the use of those emergency services if they are not given in a timely manner. The waiting time for the adults and other people is understood but why infants are being treated the same way. How will you justify that?

A beautiful hospital but too bad a very few individuals making the place is not as pleasant as it could very much to be. It makes me feel somehow the registration lady here just try her best to make things more difficult, instead of helping patients to get over.

Nurses don't care about looking after patients. Never explaining. The older the patient, the less care they give. They give wrong exams, no follow up. The level of care would be MINUS 3 stars. Many of the nurses should be let go. They are too entitled. Same goes for many of the doctors. Best to go to Mississauga Trillion.

My mom had surgery here on April 22. She would like to express her gratitude for the amazing work of the day surgery team at the hospital! Thank you for taking care of my mom, for being very professional, caring, and kind!

It’s $3: 00 per half hour maximum is $15 per day. Just went to the parking desk asking for a day pass bcoz I need to go and come back for my daughter. I was asked to fill out a form. Then the parking attendant is telling me there’s no one day pass. WTH

MY Grandfather was transferred here from St. Mikes without a word to any of my family members. We ended up going down to visit him at St. Mikes only to learn that they had transferred him to Etobicoke

Now, they've lost his health card and all his clothes in the move, they are not allowing more than 2 people to go visit.not 2 people at a time, 2 people EXCLUSIVELY. When I try to get answers on the phones the nurses get extremely nasty and short with me. One Nurse tells me one story, another Nurse tells me a different contradictory story. Doctors cannot be found anywhere.

Dog dookie hospital with terrible staff who are only in the profession for the money.

Came to ER for my moms severe pain and the doctors here were super thorough with their diagnosis of the root cause! My mom has been having pain for years and no other doctor or hospital could pinpoint to where it originated from. She finally had surgery with Dr. Heisler and had great recovery within a week! Not sure why the reviews are bad, but overall my family’s experience from the first ER visit to surgery recovery has been great! Thank you everyone at Etobicoke General!

I have my appointment today for surgery but Dr he don’t like to do surgery he just tells me call his assistance for books another appointment for surgery! I have been put my time and afford for week a hard for surgery appointment!

I wish i could give this hospital 0 stars. Came in to the ER with my mom for a possible hip fracture.waited 3+ hours to be triaged. My mother cannot move, she was not able to use the washroom for over 5 hours because of how short staffed this place is. On top of the short staffing issue, the nurses were extremely rude, and ignorant. I understand it is not the workers fault how short staffed they are but they can at least be respectful, and understanding. They were everything but helpful. My mother has been waiting for over 5 hours to be admitted and taken to a room from the emergency department. Do not come here unless it is life or death, and even then I would not count on it.

If I could make it 0 stars I would. Horrible service. Horrible wait. Big time wasters! Go to any other hospital. Ask anyone they will have a horror story for you about Etobicoke General.

Please avoid this hospital at all cost, imagine I went to to the emergency unit and still had to wait 3 hours to see a doc, what’s the point of emergency unit, if you want to die, go to this hospital, they wouldn’t attend to you unless your dying or paramedics came in with you

THIS HOSPITAL SHOULD BE CLOSED. THE MISTREATMENT HAS TO STOP. I asked why I was being involuntarily admitted and all they could say was “Because you’re sick. ” The nurse forced treatment on me while I begged them not to touch my body. My wife had no idea that I was being admitted and they did not explain to her what was happening with me. The staff also had security watching my wife in the waiting room. According to the Ontario Mental Health Act document given to me at the hospital I could, ”Contact a lawyer without delay. ” I told them that I want to speak with a lawyer and contact my country’s embassy since I’m a Korean national. I was denied access to these services during the admission process. My family in Korea was unable to reach me for 72hours and my wife who was born in Canada could not communicate with my family as they do not speak english. I have sufficient evidence to file a lawsuit for medical negligence and discrimination. I’m asking for an apology in order to progress in my PTSD recovery which was the direct result of the “care” I received at this hospital.

The worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. I went to the ER on Saturday, October 16.and after waiting for 4 and a half hours.they gave me a resident Asian female doctor who had no clue what she was doing and she was very dismissive! I even asked her for some medication because of the pain.she said “you are fine.you can go to your GP! ” And her diagnosis wasn’t correct! Thank God she didn’t prescribe me anything!

I went for an MRI today November 2nd 2021 and I met with a young woman that was not exactly friendly not exactly trusting with a very cool bedside manner. I had had a different procedure yesterday she made me call that location to make sure that no metal was left in my bowel so I complied. I was told that nothing was left and hung up 10 minutes later she comes back and asked me what the word is? I advised I was told nothing was left behind we're free to proceed. Well apparently she didn't say I'm not telling the truth but she made me call the place again because she wanted to talk to them herself so she can figure out from them if indeed nothing was left in my abdomen from the previous procedure. I was already made to wait one hour and 20 minutes for the MRI and I'm getting this kind of attitude from the young girl did not make me feel very warm and fuzzy about William Osler. A good bedside manner would have done nicely unfortunately that girl needs to be trained or she needs to find a place where she doesn't need a bedside manner. Because of today I reduce my 4 stars to 3 stars.

I have been in this hospital many times.
And each time was given as much help and attention as possible depending on how crazy the day was. I had to go on September 10th to the new emergency room and yes they have some kinks to iron out but overall I was seen by the doctor within an hour in the old building it was longer, the nurse was lovely and helpful. The doctor was informative and caring. For my condition sadly the pain killers given didn't work, I was given a stronger prescription that did a tad better but then again I do have a stubborn system. I was given a referral and got a call back within 48hrs of my visit. So again they have some kinks to work on but the staff is lovely.

I was here on 12th Nov 2021 and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the staff for being nothing but perfect. They are thorough, well behaved, respectful, sensitive and followed all Covid protocols. Thank you for be nothing but awesome and thank you for taking care of me. I hold all of you in high regards Security Nurses Doctors Technician, thank you.

The Staff at this hospital did a phenomenal job! I was in urgent need of stitches and upon recognizing my severe injury they expedited my check in, and had me sat on a chair awaiting the doctor who came within minutes. 2 staff members were on their way home but made the decision to operate on my hand before leaving. Everything happened so fast that my coworkers were surprised I was back at work later that night!

This is the absolute worst hospital. Be expected to wait 8 hours for blood work, scan and the results. The ladies are all terribly rude as well to top off the insanely horrible hospital.

Very very bad experience. All nurses and doctors are very rude. They do not know how to treat the patients. I went there 2 to 3 times.my condition was very bad but they didn't give any attention. Very careless staff. They treat the patients like an animal.

This is one of the worst hospitals that i have ever been to. They are unprofessional and the staff that i came in contact with could not help me with any inquiries. The medical doctor that i was seeing was a horrible practitioner. The only good help that they have are administration and security. Avoid this hospital at all costs, especially as a patient.

I hope I can give zero star the staff, the nurses even the doctors at this hospital are not friendly at all. My brother is suffering from some mental health issues and brought at that hospital by 911 but now they are not providing me any information about him.

He is the only son of my parents my parents got depressed because of their this kind of privacy. I applied for emergency visa for my parents for which I just need prescription from the doctor but doctor don’t even want to talk to me.

He be like taking to phone is same as meeting in person and now he didn’t give me a call back even I am requesting from last 4 days. I live in Ottawa and went Toronto just to speak with the doctor and he did this to me.

According to the doctors and nurses privacy is more important than someone’s life. They are not stressing me they are stressing my parents right now if anything will happen with my parents this hospital will be responsible. They are old and want to come and meet their son they are going in depression too

I have the utmost respect for our medical community. I find most of the staff to be quite helpful and professional. However, perhaps more training about not shaming a patient in a lot of pain for wanting their pain medication is necessary. Then this morning Nurse Doreen came in my room like a burst of sunshine. The most caring and professional lady that has restored my faith in the care that is given at this hospital.

This is my second time being here at this hospital, but the first time to use their ER services. I've been waiting 7 hours overnight waiting for blood work results. There's only 1 doctor in, but no where to be found. There are only 5 other people here waiting, and I've been the longest waiting. Every time I ask for an update it's like pulling teeth to get any info. I've been waiting here patiently with extreme pain in my chest and shoulder with my pain meds wearing off. They wouldn't let my husband in and he had to wait outside in the cold for 7 hours+. This is unacceptable. I honestly can't believe this. I arrived before 9pm and it's past 4am with no results and my husband starts work at 7am. At this point, I'm going to drive during morning rush hour!

One of the best doctors I've seen. Was one of the only doctors who found my pain. Very thorough. Made me feel very comfortable about the surgery. Thank you with all my heart.

All the nurses are so nice and doctors are dedicated, check on patients often. ER waiting time at this hospital is short comparing with other hospitals on Toronto.

I had to wait for 9 hours for my whole visit to this hospital. 2hours was just to hear my results which were in but the doctors were no where to be found! Came in at 5pm and lefted at 2am. I understand the hospitals are busy but this was just ridiculous. Worse hospital experience by far!

Went for day surgery this week and had an amazing experience.
Dr kapplin and Dr Chang were great and efficient. The staff were caring and well informed.
The nurse who sat with me while I waking up from the anesthesia really helped with my anxiety. Very thankful for the team here.

I love this place clean very comfortable also the communication is clear and I would recommend this hospital for anyone. I will be returning.

Worst Hospital Ever! My first hospital visit in Canada and really dissappointed with the staff and services!

I wish I could give it a zero. Went into the emergency section and everyone working there was so rude. This is the worst place to go if your having pain. I felt so uncomfortable by the way I was treated that I just left. Don’t waste your time.

I was in labor and in the Delivery and Labor hospital.told me they couldn’t do my delivery because My file is not there. Whether my file is not there or if my delivery is supposed to take place in North York.that shouldn’t have matter.if I had given birth on the highway.imagine the level of at fault.

I always come to this location for its service but ill never come here again. Nurses sleep while you have to wait 7 hours to see a doctor. Anytime you ask anyone a question the response is always I dont know.

I was surprised with the service they give. Doctor came after two hours, ask me whats wrong. Then he left and asked someone to do my xray. Man after xray no one told me that i am done. They said wait. And they wasted 4 hours. And other people were waiting outside for their turn and this happened in emergency department. I felt so bad that if any asthama patients come by they will kill that person for sure. How they can do that. Doctors and nurses made this a picnic spot. This space need proper management and micro management. Keep and eye on your staff. See what they r doing.

This is the best hospital I had ever been. My son had a day surgery here. From the registration to all the nurses, staffs, doctors, everyone are so friendly, experienced, patiences and a lot more!

I'm here currently for an arm dislocation. I've never had my arm out this long as I'm hitting the 6 hour mark of my dislocation. I could've driven an hour away to a hospital in my home town and have been in and out sooner. I would recommend enduring any pain you have and drive to a farther hospital.

Went to emergency at this hospital for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how short the visit was considering I had about 5 procedures and had to wait for results so I saw the doctor about 3 times.
Got appointments very fast for a stress test, nuclear medicine test and echogram.
The three gentlemen who conducted my nuclear medicine stress test explained all the details thoroughly and alleviated my fears as I had never had these procedures before. Hats off to the staff as my visit was conducted very professional on July 16.
Only one more test to go.

I was referred to a psychiatrist here by my family doctor, and it was a spectacularly negative experience. He was rude and unprofessional. Frequently interrupted me when I was talking about my problems because I was saying things "too technical" and even accused me of reading on the internet.

He was indifferent of the diagnoses I've been given and refused to listen to anything i had to say. Instead he talked AT me and minimized my health issues.

Stay far away from this incompetent fraud.

The worst service at Ambulatory department. The doctor did not know what to do and send me home with the pain along with the other patients in the waiting room. The doctor needs to be fired for his actions. No experience whatsoever

Nothing but excellent experience from the moment I got admitted. I had my surgery yesterday by Dr Priya Sharma and her team. She is extremely professional and at the same time kind. And She has a great sense of humor. She came with an excellent reviews and I am thankful that my Dr recommended her. A smile goes a long way. Be kind to our Frontline worker. Our lives are in their hands.

A week ago A family member was tested positive for covid and was told to go home and isolate. He went back to the hospital on Thursday and was given poor treatment on top of that the doctor that tested him had MADE A FALSE STATEMENT and instead of being isolated at home the family member was supposed to be in the hospital. The patient was then put in a isolation room that had NO WASHROOM. I understand that the staff is overwhelmed but come on at least treat people with dignity and respect

I visited this hospital today to have some procedure done by Dr. Susan Greebloom and I was very impressed by the professionalism from the doctor and the staff's. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hospital very clean and organized. Many thanks to the Doctor, staffs and receptionists.

Good for normal patients, but sometimes in emergency they take too much time. But I have good experience. Doctors and nurses are very polite and helpful. Security persons also very nice and helpful.

I gave birth to my baby in January and the whole labour and delivery team was amazing. I have never encountered such caring staff, they made the whole process a great one. Such caring nurses and doctors ensured I was at ease through such a tough time.

My dad is a patient at Brampton Civic hospital - cardiology ward. He would like me to thank the staff, receptionist, volunteers and the nurse Anu at cardiology for being very attentive, kind and helpful. During times like this in a pandemic, it is difficult to be in the hospital alone without family or visitors allowed but the nurses are accommodating, kind and helpful. They provide individuals care and put the time into helping find the cause of your health issues and promptly share this information with your family doctor and cardiologist as well. Having been to emergency, cardiology unit and ECG lab I would say that this is a very good hospital with attentive care. Thank you Anu for your help and attentive care for my dad as a patient. It is greatly appreciated.

The wait time doesn't what it. They are always busy doing nothing. The lab is something else, doing what the doctor didn't send you to do and they will end up putting the blame on you.
Good facility, poor service

An overall horrible place. Why do the nurses on the surgery recovery floor have a crazy patient in the hallway screaming and yelling 24 hours a day? Yes I understand it's "mental illness" and she has a right to be on that floor, because she also had some surgery at some point in time. But the nurses are lazy - instead of keeping that patient in her room (translation - more work for the nurses), they stick her in the hallway so it's easier for them to keep an eye on her. The nurses are also great at giving you attitude and are ready for a fight when you complain.
Yes she has rights, but do these rights supersede the rights of the 100 other patients on that floor suffering in pain and also recovering from surgery, and trying to get some rest, which was impossible? This woman was literally screaming 24/7, and the nurses and their supervisor kept saying we're looking for a solution. This went on for weeks, and there was no solution sought. This does not happen at other hospitals. I know from experience.
A "One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" experience. I would never recommend this hell hole to anybody, unless it's to my enemies.
And a note to Patient Care, who try to show on this board that they care - I'm not interested in filling out your form and contacting you. You did nothing for me when it counted.

I visited the emergency department on a Sunday morning. This is my first time here since the renovation. I expected to wait hours to see a doctor however this was not the case. Myself and all those who had come in after me were quickly attended to. The doctor I saw was very nice and so were all the other staff from receptionist to nurses. I was pleasantly suprised at the professionalism, timeliness, cleanliness and efficiency of this emergency department. I think this renovation has really changed this hospital.

Worst experience ever. Had my first baby there.nurses didn’t help at all. We were almost left to care the baby ourselves. They told you will have to learn everything yourselves, never came to room more than twice in night. Held the crying baby and frustrated wife in my hands and prayed for a miracle. Now my second baby born in US, we now see the difference. Wow to universal health care!

WORST HOSPITAL I have ever been to. I have had no choice to go to this hospital as it is the closest one for emergencies. I have made the decision to NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! Wait times are UNBELIEVABLE. I have had my charts lost MULTIPLE times, the nurses had me waiting (on multiple occasions) unseen and untreated for hours until I had to get up to see what was going on, and my charts were lost. I had been sitting there for 5 hours plus with an open wound, this is something a nurse had helped me with- did not need a doctor. Recently I had gone there (after renovations) to emergency only to find rude/unhappy and unhelpful staff. I had seen the treatment of different people being treated differently (some treated rude and roughly). The emergency nurses were not helpful at all and rude to 90% of people who had asked them questions. The public is sick and there for help not to deal with a rude worker that does not want to be there. Personally I would rather drive or have an ambulance take me to another hospital despite their current upgrades. The staff and service has never changed. THE DOCTOR we had seen had dismissed other related problems with the reason of being there and not fully treated the person I was there with after waiting 4+ hours for the 1 doctor to come back to the emergency room. Results were there waiting for hours and when the doctor came back he had said just to go home and "rest" and did not even address the other issues. As the only accessable place to go to emergency, this place is horrible. This happened to my family and I more than 3 times. Complete waste of our time and energy. Where are we supposed to get proper health care?

I’ve gone in to this hospital because it’s the closest to me, & every single time I’ve left their worse or with no help.
Doctors being pushy & not answering questions.
Charts getting lost.
Very disorganized & even longer waiting times with the new system & renovation
Dismissing feelings after being asked how you feel
Sending patients home with unnecessary medication
Just an all around mess. No patient remorse at all. Just feels like they are pushing a bunch of cows through a factory. A very disorganized & rude factory.
I will for now on be travelling the extra distance to receive better care

Very slow for an emergency room took roughly 10 hours just to do 3 tests.i spent 9 hours waiting less than 5 minutes with a doctor and and the rest are the nurses doing what the doctor order.dont come if you are in an actual emergency situation.

My brother went into the Emergency Department with a dislocation and had to have orthopedic surgery (done by Dr. Laura Kember).

While laying in the Emergency Department waiting for surgery, the nurse came in with medication for pain and gave him morphine. My brothers heart rate went through the roof and he started vomiting. The nurse asked why his heart rate was so high. Being a nursing student, I knew that a side effect of morphine is it can make you heart rate and pulse high, why the nurse in the Emergency didn't know that is beyond me. A couple hours later my brother asked for Tylenol for pain. The same nurse wanted to give him more morphine, but my brother said absolutely not. Stupid nurse gave it to him anyway. Again heart rate went up and he started vomiting.

I fail to understand how this nurse did not know the side effects of morphine, I am a nursing student and I sure do.

Although Dr. Laura Kember was amazing at her surgery, this nurse needs to go back to school and learn the side effects of the medicine she is administering.

Well organized most everything great staffs. Dedicated doctors, nurses. However waiting time minimum 3 to 5 hours for emergencies. The emergency cases worked only when someone transports, refer by ambulance vehicle's paramedic workers. They need extra dedicated doctors and nurses

I have changed the rating from 1 to 5 after my complete experience with william osler. Though my first impression was bad bcz of the front office agents rudeness, we are very happy with the medical services provided. We had our first baby delivered here. The new building and birthing unit infrastructure is so pleasant and beautiful with most facilities. Very nice staff and doctor in this unit. Really the nurses are the main reason for the normal delivery for my wife. Plz keep up the good work.
Advice to management, please put the front office desk agents throught customer service skills training or remove them and make the exisitng machine based checkin system effective with one help agent. Though i prefer human interactions and consider people jobs sometimes the front office desk agents mood can spoil the whole patient experience bad and ruine the reputation of the better services provided. First impression is always the best impression.

I don't know about others but I never had any problems with this hospital. I had two surgery and I come there every so many months for check ups and I leave satisfied.

So they have this brand new place and guess what? ! The same miserable people work there!
Went to emergency last night and I guess chatting about their work hours for a few minutes while I was standing right in front of them with two sick kids was more important than doing their job! How rude! I interupted them and then they all looked at me like I was the one being rude!
They are so lazy and overpaid!

These people, don’t know what the f**k they are doing. And more than half the nurses are rude and have visible issues with there personal life and take it out on patients. The second you can leave here I would recommend you do it. If you can avoid this 1960’s communist style Healh care I would strongly recommend you do so. You might find a few decent people but if your stay is longer than a day watch out. Equipment is outdated layout completely confusing, makes no sense. Parking for in the city is outrageous, it’s like your paying downtown prices. They will milk your tax dollars for sure and if you have any additional health coverage they will do that too.

The nurse staff were extremely loud. Saw 3 doctors or PA working, meanwhile the nursing station was flooded with 6 nurses doing nothing. Maybe come and take my vitals? Maybe do the comprehensive history? Maybe do the pertinent physical exams? Was told after hours of waiting that they did not have time for my condition.
Ended up just going on uptodate and self prescribed my self antibiotics. Got online expedited shipment of antibiotics in few hours. Useless and incompetent staff here.

To me is more like a third world country hospital.
Very poor, no coordination, no organization, after waiting for hrs in the emergency, you leave the emergency department to go exams and they make you wait hrs in front of Xray room in the corridor.
Also in emergency you wait in the corridor.
Plus the Doctor came and saw my Mom and insisted to send her home cause was nothing wrong with her, I insisted to keep her there cause her leg look bad.
The next day another Doctor came and said she has the leg broken in 4 parts.
Also is unreal and inadmissible wait for a bed for 2 days and 2 nights out in the corridor.
JUST IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY.
