Absolutely amazing team at Willow Dental. They are so professional and do a great job of explaining everything and putting me at ease. I get nervous in dental offices and am prone to cavities. I get nitrous oxide when undergoing anything more vigorous than a cleaning, and it helps enormously. Dr. Walsh is fantastic, as are all the dental hygienists. I won't go anywhere else for dental care.

After a long search we finally found an excellent dentist and staff where no pressure, financial or otherwise, applied during your visits.

Overbilled my insurance during my previous visit in September. They submitted one of the bills twice (for procedure code 01103). Both submissions were approved by my insurance, and both had the same procedure code but different claim reference numbers. Insurance paid them the $157 twice. The other procedures were submitted once, and had no issues.

At the time, I didn't think much of it as I do not get close to maxing out my insurance every year, so I had a lot of room left for the rest of the year.

Had my next appointment this week. As I was finishing up, I mentioned it to them and asked them to look back at my previous visit to see if they did accidently submit it twice. They instantly started giving me excuses about how it's not possible.

First, they told me that they only submitted each procedure code once. They said this without even looking at my file in their computer. It was an instant response as soon as I asked them the question. I informed them that there were two submissions for the same procedure code.

They then told me that it might be a glitch on my Insurance company's side causing the claim to show up twice. I informed them that each one had a different claim number, so it is not the same claim showing up twice due to a glitch or technical error.

They then proceeded to tell me that even if they had submitted it twice, the second one would have been automatically declined by the insurance company. I informed them that both were approved and paid out by my insurance. They insisted that its not possible and that the insurance company would have declined the second one.

I had my insurance account open on my phone whilst talking to them. I verified every excuse that they gave me. Two separate claims for the same procedure code. Both claims have different claim reference numbers. Both claims were approved and paid out.

I initially wasn't too bothered by this situation as I don't get anywhere close to the annual limits of my insurance. It happened last September, and I didn't bother to call them at the time. I just figured that I would inquire about it during my next appointment, which I just had this week.

What does bother me is them coming up with excuses and trying to convince me that I simply can't comprehend the information that my insurance is giving me. The information that my insurance has given me is very clear. For Willow Dental Associates to try to convince me that there are no billing errors and that I'm the one who is confused is beyond me.

After this experience, I will not be returning. Had Willow Dental Asssociates admitted to the billing error, then the situation would have been fine and dandy. I didn't expect them to undo one of the two claims, but I expect them to at least admit that they made a billing error. People make mistakes. There is no shame in that. The least you could do is have some accountability for said mistakes.

This was my first appointment with Willow Dental. All went well with Hygienist Emily. Everything was thoroughly explained by her and I felt comfortable during the 1 1/2 appointment. I had no issues at all during this appointment and I thought a job well done on Emily's part. The women at the front desk took of everything for me as they made things easy for me moving over to Willow Dental from a previous dentist. Overall extremely happy with the service provided.

This team is the best. I always come away feeling well cared for and confident with the service I get. I highly recommend them. Everyone is warm and friendly.

Very unfortunate experience with the people scheduling and booking appointments THRICE: 1. Requested appointment through opencare, got a call from the clinic and they scheduled on their system and not through opencare… I had to call back and request them again. 2. Day and time of appointment I called them to enter the clinic since Covid protocols have limited people in the clinic, they said my appointment was cancelled by “my mother” who they cannot verify in any sense… they didn’t have a number, a name, a reference at all to validate that the caller was my mother (it could never be my mother, she doesn’t know anything about my dental appointments). And they also never called me to validate/confirm/clarify that the appointment was cancelled. 3. I had scheduled another appointment the week after as I was sure the first wouldn’t be enough, since my terrible experience I wanted to cancel my appointment, they said it is not in their system, they cannot find my name anywhere, but still said I wou still be charged for cancelling an appointment within the 2 days before appointment since that is their policy even though they cannot find my appointment…. Well good luck with that!

Found this dentist office through OpenCare.com and was able to easily book online. Within 15 mins I received a phone call from Chantal confirming my appointment and making notes of the special requests/comments I had left. I am beyond nervous of dentists including the Hygenist and will avoid going at all costs. The anxiety makes me feel like I am ready to have a heart attack at any given moment. Chantal, the Hygenist Coordinator was so friendly, down to earth, professional and answered my questions before I could even think of them (due my anxiety) and reassured me I would be taken care of. Someone who puts in this much effort to ease my fears before I have even set foot into the door - I know I will be in good hands. Thank you, Chantal for confirming I've chosen the right dental office.

UPDATE: Had my first and second dental appointment 5/5* on both visits. First up, Covid Safety is kept top of mind here from the first step you take into their doors so no need to worry. I was warmly welcomed by Taija (?) to ensure all Covid safety protocols were followed to keep everyone safe- much appreciated!
To say this office is clean is an understatement; it leans more on the side of sterile without the laboratory feel. My Hygenist, Nikki was excellent from her friendly, down to earth demeanor to ensure I felt comfortable, to her thorough explanations and gentle handling in and around my mouth. No tugging, pulling, digging, jabbing or sudden maneuvers that left me painfully caught off guard. Nikki intentionally works her way around the mouth & teeth identifying and giving areas more attention where needed versus randomly scanning & cleaning just to get the job done as it’s obvious she cares more about the quality of her work. I also appreciated all the extra tips & guidance she gave me to lead me in the direction of better oral health. I also loved my dental kit I was sent home with to set me on the right path!
My exam was done by Dr. Amy Lui who was just as friendly, patient and eager to answer any and all my questions as Nikki was. Check-out was a breeze and Taija even briefed over my benefit plan and gave me explanations to what I was covered for then walked me out through a separate entrance to ensure Covid safely was followed right to the end of my visit. I’m so happy I found Willow Dentist Associates and took the jump to give this office a try. My experiences so far have been positively incomparable to any other dental offices I have been to. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone who is looking for a new dentist or if you’ve had anywhere from a poor to good experience elsewhere because I’ve now learned our experience at the dentist should be GREAT. Thank you Nikki, Dr. Lui & Taija- great people like you are what makes a great dental office.

I like that place. I care my tooths as much I can and also that place take care my tooths for me more than me.

The staff at Willow dental are super nice and great at what they do. The Dentists are there are amazing. They show that they care about the health of your teeth. Should you need some type of treatment, the Dentist takes their time with you and answer all your questions. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you staff at Willow Dental for the services you have provided me over the years.
