I give 3 stars avg. The reception and Vet were very good, however the price was wayyyyy beyond acceptable when final bill/invoice arrived. Have had numerous pets over the years and never have I experienced such drastically expensive MEDICINE for animals! More expensive than humans? Wow! I will try this place once more, last time!

Dr. Young and the staff at Wilson's Animal Hospital are top notch! They are kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable regarding the care and treatment of our 'fur babies'! My family and I have trusted this clinic for decades and will continue to do so for decades to come! God Bless you all richly for all you do everyday!

I would highly recommend taking your fur babies to Wilson’s Animal Hospital. They treated my little Rosie with kindness, love and respect. Their hospital is clean and well organized, and their staff is so kind and friendly. I could not be more happy or satisfied. Their veterinarians truly care about your babies.

Brought my male cat Blizzard for his annual check up and needles. We have been bringing our fur babies to Wilson's animal hospital for over 30 years. Always friendly yet professional care. They are very caring and compassionate.

I just recently brought my dog in for her to required vaccines that were due, as well as for kennel cough as we're traveling by car to Florida. I was knowledgeably informed to have these done about a month earlier, so to be sure all has been properly absorbed into her system. Most staff are very friendly and considerate.

Always friendly and the staff love the animals they care for, best Vets I have ever had. Mungo loves going to Wilson's.

Best place to bring your pets. My family has always been with Wilsons and now i use them as well. They were very compassionate and really cared when i had to put down my Missy great with her and their for me aswell. Buddy our new lab goes here now and i trust this vet with my furbaby.

Very happy with the Carr our kitty got. But, would kind of like to be present when he gets hus shots. Vet is great and staff are friendly and engaging!

The staff and Dr. Young are fantastic… very pleasant and always answering our questions. We have not had the pleasure of the service of the other doctors, but I have heard nothing but excellent praise for the entire team at Wilson Animal Hospital. I just wish we came here sooner. I have been using Wilson's now for about 6 years. I have 4 dogs with them. Recently, had a lump removed off my almost 7 year old Texas Heeler/Hound mix. He's my service dog (now retired) and means the world to me. So I wanted to make sure I found a vet that was willing to work with me VS against me, one that was good working with high anxiety clients (human and dog) and one that does not push things on me that I'm not interested in (like spaying/neutering early before growth plate closure, or pushing certain vaccines for example).

I have learned a couple years ago the clinic is now corperate owned VS privately owned but that's not an automatic fault for me.

Prices: Their prices did go up a lot however I did some local sleuthing and most other clinics are more expensive then this one. I would like to maybe see them change how much they charge for vaccines though because more people will likely be able to and inclined to give more shots VS picking and choosing what to give based on how expensive it is then the boostering cost. Some clinics still do an all in one price but again it's not the end of the world.

Staff: I've only ever had issues with one of the staff (more so a personal issue that spilled over) however they're no longer employed there so that's a non issue now. Everyone else I've met so far has been great. Kinda miss Kim the receptionist. Was sad to see she quit

Clinic: is clean, doesn't smell heavily of cleaner or floral/over-powering smells like I've encountered at other clinics that may use Scentsy or wall plug ins. So those with scent sensitivities will be fine.

Now onto the Doctors. I'm picky and extremley hard, bordering impossible to please when it comes to my dogs. Having a bad experience with my previous clinic (which landed me a client here, thankfully) I was super guarded.
- I first met Dr Paula for shots and continued to come back. When my Hound mix needed to be neutered when he was 3 rather then just push the surgery on me like most would she was open to xraying him to make sure 100% his prostate was enlarged so I could comfortably make the decision to forever alter my dogs system by removing his testicles thus removing hormones which are needed still for adrenal function. So I absolutely love that because I could neuter my dog and not wonder if maybe I could of tried something else first.

Dr Young I believed performed his neuter (and my other dogs neuter) and they both healed very well with no complications

Dr Nate, amazing. I never thought I'd ever meet a fresh out of school down to earth vet that I would actually trust to operate on my dog let alone my service dog approaching his senior years. I've always preferred my vets to have a number of years experience before even considering them. The lump was removed and my dog healed up fine afterwards and is back to his normal self minus a lump. I have another one of ours going in for a dental and neuter at some point as well with Dr Nate

Dr Dave I've met briefly but never have seen him for appointments but I would certainly see him if I got booked with him

There is a new vet there Dr Maise? I feel that's her name but I have yet to meet her but I'm going to go out on a limb and say she's just as good too.

I'm planning to stick around, prices are going up everywhere and I will just make more sacrafices so I can make sure my dogs continue to see a clinic that I trust.

Excellent clinic for my cats. The care they gave amazing dental care on my old Bengal cat, unfortunately we found she has kidney disease but it’s being managed

Called twice to get medication refills sent to my pharmacy. Which were never a problem last year. Or from our last vet. Finally office tells me they are going to be sent to the pharmacy. You can guess what didn't happen.
Now I'm SOL and my dog can't get meds for a full weekend +
Very disappointed in the care.

The office is clean and cheerful. In the examining room there are treats which helped calm my dog down considerably. I really appreciated that only necessary shots were given and I was not guilted to do unnecessary blood tests. The whole appointment with wait time was 25 minutes so the staff know how to use a scheduler! Highly recommend Wilson's Animal Hospital.

Great compassion was shown during our last visit. Made doing what had to be done easier. Would recommend them to anyone.

I can't say enough about Wilson's! From the reception to each and every vet there. They truly treat your pet as one of their own. Honest, compassionate, and patient.what more can you ask for from a vet?

Our Scottie- Spencer loves it there! We are always impressed with the staff. He saw a new Dr this time and we were he was great as are all the Doctors there. He is our second dog, our first was a Westin she enjoyed going ther also. Keep up the good work Wilson’s!

Wilson's Animal Hospital has always provided my dogs with excellent care and treatment especially when it has been an emergency situation. The staff are always ready to help and so pleasant to speak with on the phone

Sad day been going to Wilson's for 40 years now I will be looking for a new vet never thought this would happen. Ok I have a 16+ indoor cat needs his nails trimmed every 4 to 5 months called they said he overdue for his vaccinations I said ok they set up a appointment next one available is end of june I said ok but he needs his nails trimmed before that. Oh no no no I guess he could give the staff rabies if he bit them but no cat has given rabies to anyone in Ontario in over 40 years so what's going on? I said why would you not let me know I'm in every two months for his thyroid medication and his nails all the time I was then informed I could find another vet if I didn't like their policy I'm still in shock. I just dont understand why you would let a animal suffer for something that wasent his fault mine and I sure wish the staff would have told me when I was in over and over

The vets are warm, caring and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain things thoroughly. I trust them completely!

So impressed every time I go with my little Morkie, Freddie to see the vet. They are always so patient, caring and understanding. I appreciate them getting us in to see the vet as quickly as possible and following up with lab results promptly as well. Highly recommend to other pet owners!

I've been going to this clinic now since leaving another St Catharines clinic after an unpleasant experience. I've been going there about 5 or 6 years now.

I've recently learned however they are not family owned now but have sold to something (I can't remember specifics but was assured the same staff etc are there plus some more) and this was something that drew me into them in the first place being family owned.

But I feel the benefits of this clinic outweigh the change of ownership. I've met almost every vet but specifically see Dr Paula. Never had any concerns regarding bedside manner, politeness, interaction with my dogs. It's always clean etc. I've had surgeries done on my dogs there, routine things and I like I don't get pushed or guilted into doing something that's normally recommended.

For example, I only vaccinate every 3 years for the booster/rabies after the initial puppy combo/boostered a year later. Lots of vets I've previously used refuse to grant a booster for 3 years. Never had that problem here. I don't neuter my male dogs, it's never been pushed onto me except when one of my males developed a prostate problem they recommended it, I x-rayed to confirm their suspicions and he was fixed and it wasn't really pushed on me we both came to the agreement that's what was best.

Prices I've noticed have gone up recent again, they are now tipping onto the more expensive category for veterinarians and if I did Lyme, Lepto, kennel cough on top of the standard vaccines my bill would easily of hit 280$. That's really high. Most people cannot afford that. So we left with just the normal booster/rabies and put bill was $160 something.

But everything's going up, gas, their costs to operate, cost of living etc so I get it. I'd like to see an automatic small discount though for people with 3 or more dogs. I know alot of other clinics give multiple pet discounts.

All in all I still recommend them and will be staying as a client so as long as the service doesn't slip or they skyrocket again in price. Sure I could find cheaper clinics but working in the field I've learned super fast the cheaper vets aren't always the best.

I've been going to Wilson's for 10 years now and I've always had great doctors take care of my dog Kirby. But today I went in and Kirby saw Dr. B he was so thorough and explained everything. He gave him a total physical. He spent at least 45min going over everything. He's very pleasant and friendly. I was very pleased as my dog is a senior and needs extra care The receptionist aren't very personable or empathetic. Not like the other receptionist Kim they had she was amazing!

My cats been going to Wilson’s for years now, she’s always treated well and with respect, as she’s gotten older she’s needed better grooming every few months, so for 25$ she gets a great spa day! When she’s had issues the vets and assistants have been very helpful and caring.

Everyone goes above and beyond - from the receptionist, the technicians, and the veterinarians. I cannot recommend Wilson Animal Hospital enough. They listen to your concerns and never ever rush you out the door. They really do care and I'm so thankful for Dr. Paula. I know our Maisy is, too. Thank you for all you do!

We brought my daughter's dog in after a very traumatic experience at St Catharines animal hospital last year. We were nervous to try another vet. But right from the greeting at Wilson's from the receptionist, we thought we would be in good hands. Instead, we found ourselves in AMAZING hands! The level of care our small, anxious dog was unprecedented. My daughter and I were treated with respect and all of our concerns were addressed and resolved. Our dog was lovingly cared for through the exam and immunization process - he has never been so calm! He was in the Vet Tech Carolyn's arms just snuggling not barking! Again, AMAZING how they treated and cared for the dog and for us! Dr. Paula Wilson stayed with us for an hour since it had been two years since Hudson had a really great exam - she went above and beyond any expectation we may have had. If we could give Wilson's Animal Hospital 10 stars we would because our experience was exceptional!

Went in to purchase cat food and was told she had to confirm with a vet that my cat is allowed to eat it and then had to ask if I've ever ordered the pate because my last order didn't match what I was looking to order today! Treated like I was some addict looking to score! Unbelievable. Definitely won't be bring my cat in!

Amazing clinic. The staff are wonderful and truly care about your animal's well being. The veterinarians are so kind and genuinely want the best for your pet. Ruby is a strictly indoor cat and going outside is difficult for her. She always comes back home playful and relaxed. Normally she would hide away for the day, but she seems just like herself when we get home. I think she knows she's been treated well and she always feels better. I highly recommend this clinic. They do only what's necessary and the charge is minimal for care. 10/10.

The staff here are amazing saying goodbye to our baby girl was hard but they made the experience as good as one could be for us.

Vets and techs are very friendly and do a great job of taking care of your pet. The reason for not giving 5 stars is their pricing as they are one of the most expensive vets in the Niagara Region. A simple rabies shot can cost over $150 and they even charge more than $20 for trimming nails. If money is no object or you can't go to another vet, then by all means, bring you pet here as they will be well taken care of.

After posting my review, Dr. Nichols contacted us and was very understanding and caring. I would highly recommend this vet and we will be bringing our dog back for future appointments. Good job Dr.

Went to see this vet ten days ago with my 8 year old cat. Cat stopped eating and drinking and was very weak. I came in with my mother and we saw the Dr. Vet (not sure of his name) and he basically told us there was no chance for her. He never tried getting extra money out of us just made recommendations and we had to put her down. The Vet was so caring and he was almost in tears as I was. We had to put my cat down. I want to thank this Dr for being so kind, he made this awful process of putting cat down a little easier. I am not a friend of this vet writing a good review for him just writing from my heart. I hope you talk to the vet that looked after me and tell him, job well done. Paul McC

I had an emergency with my cat and eventhough he had never been there before they examined him and prescribed meds. The Vet and the receptionist were great! Very friendly and helpful

Very happy with my recent experience at Wilson's animal hospital! Dr. Nichols was great and took the time to explain every question in detail. My 9 year old Shiba inu does not like people he doesn't already know well and they were able to deal with him in a very kind manor! Would highly recommend this veterinary center!

Hot n Ready implies you wont have to wait 10 min when you order one. Bread or cinnasticks are never ready so add another 15 since they will firget to put them down

Definitely felt the love in the building, money keeps the door open, but they clearly care for your pet family beyond the money.

This is pretty much the only place that my dog feels comfortable in. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and very gentle. The facility is amazingly clean, as I confirmed with my most recent visit - I came early on a weekend and the level of cleanliness was apparent as soon as I entered the building. There are separate spots in the reception area for cat and dog owners, overall very accommodating! New pet owners, visit here first!

We’ve been going to wilsons for about 8 years. We have 2 cats and 3 dogs.so we are there often. Dr. Nichols is always so patient and thorough with all of them and my many, many questions.

I never feel guilted or pressured into anything and 100% trust in his care.

This is the only vet I’d recommend in the city.
