U get a lot of food for a great price.all.day breakfast which is nice.the service is great
there is a lot to choose from but not many gluten free options.

The food was great. Portions were good for price, and atmosphere was pleasant with great service.

We had the all you can eat fish and chips but when we ordered the second round she took both of our dirty plates and only gave us 4 pieces of fish on a single plate with no chips. Expecting us to somehow share a single small plate. The second round of fish was dried out.

This was my first visit to a Wimpy's and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was varied and contained a number of good items. I chose the fish and chips and the fish was actually very good. The server was friendly and prompt and the fifties style diner atmosphere was enjoyable too, though I found the TVs a little distracting -they are definitely not period.

Feels like right at home. REAL food like home food, very comfort food. Also they are kind with putting Closed Captioned on TV for people who cannot hear. Amazing staff.

Was looking forward to trying the food here. We ordered the wimpy burgers with fries and gravy and onion rings. The burgers are huge and they forgot my gravy. The server who took our order, was very pleasant. Will try something different next time, as I was not crazy about the burgers.

It is always a great experience here. The service is top notch and food is good.

Definitely going back again

If I could give this place a zero stars I would. DO NOT order caterings or large lunch orders. I called in the day before so they would have lots of notice. Waitress on the phone took the order no problem. I told her someone would call in the morning with a credit card number to pay for it and was told no problem. We arranged for an outside company to pick up as we had problems last month with their Door Dash system. Manager tried to call now with the number and we're now told that they haven't even started the order and no, we can't take payment over the phone. So sorry. Have a nice day. Thanks! I know have to scramble last min to get lunch covered.

Terrible food today cold potatoes and toast. Not going back. Not busy take some time to serve it fresh.

The classic breakfast with sausage is sooo good! Recently discovered their Oreo milkshake and am obsessed with it. We get breakfast from here at least twice a month! Everyone that we’ve interacted with here is also so nice. Would definitely recommend!

Great food, maybe its just me $22.00 for a burger, frys and gravy, no bacon and cheese. Bit pricey.be another 6 months before I spend that again for a burger

Valentine’s Day! First time here. Walked in and seated by the door and very cold. Bad area to sit. Slow service. Waited one hour for the food. The poutine could have been hotter. Coleslaw had no taste.

Wimpy's: Our family have been patrons since you opened. I always tell people about your great restaurant. You made it through Covid, staff shortages, product unavailability. I have been there on several occasions and we have always been happy with the great food and amazing service. The kitchen, diner and bathrooms are spotless. Plenty of great, tasty, fresh food, and personable service. Nice, hard working waitresses. On two occasions we have been there and unfortunately (with no fault of your own) we sat in a booth next to a man and his son or nephew who are gluttons. It was all you can eat fish night, the one man had several plates of fish. On all you can eat pasta night, the very same two men had 5 enormous plates of spaghetti. What my complaint is (out of your control) those two men reeked of urine, dirty clothes. How can a person not smell themselves. It turned my stomach. I don't know what can be done. Next time we come and they are there, I'll have to go elsewhere. Thank You for the great dining experiences otherwise.

Food was terrible and smelt cigarette smoke in the build, later after talking to a friend found out owner smokes in the build while working in the back

The breakfast this morning was horrible.
Home fries burnt but soggy. Bacon raw. Waitress only came to take order and bring food. Not once to refill coffee and juice. Not once to see how things were. There were 5 tables being served with 4 servers.

Food wasn't as expected, Alfredo sauce was so little and pasta was like dry, beef liver was supposed to be chicken liver for better taste

This is the best Wimpy's I've ever been too. Food is always excellent and service is phenomenal and they have that old school decor that everyone loves. Great daily specials as well. I just wish they were closer to me.

Yes definitely recommended place for good environment, great customer service, happy environment and best fresh food. Its located close to exit#275 on homer watson blvd with lots of parking. Even truckers can park their truck across the street at truck stop walkin eat fresh. Yes i will go again

The dinners were huge, plenty of food. The staff were amazing. They made sure our drinks were refilled when required.
It's a great place to dine in.

Wimpy’s diner at Homer Watson and 401 in Kitchener is by far the best Wimpy’s I have ever dined at. Great food, great daily specials, and the staff are by far the friendliest of any restaurant in the area. Highly recommend this specific Wimpy’s Diner! My work colleague and I go here a couple times a week, and we come back every time because of the service and great food and value. Excellent! If I could give more stars I would!

We had went to wimpy’s for the very first time today 6/3/22. The breakfast came with just enough to fill your belly. I’m here to write about our server Allie. Allie you made our first experience at this location a great one. You’re front line and you made the experience so awesome always on top of everything. Thank you so much! Ordered hot hamburger it was medioccur at best. Grizzle in the meat. My dog enjoyed more of it then I did. My wife had the burger and it was the same again the puppy was happy. Fish and chips were good. Probably will not order there again.

Huge burger very tasty and exceptional service. Fries were overcooked and need to be changed for something more closely resembling a potato.

Excellent breakfast options, which is served all day. They aleo have dinner options. The staff has always been really friendly. You must try the massive Wimpy burger.

I was there march 12,2022 between 5 and 6: 30, I mention this because I do not recall the names of our servers. Our server was training a younger woman and both of then were absolutely fantastic, absolutely no complaints about either. The food was delicious as usual, I had the liver and onions and it was cooked perfectly.

I have been to this Wimpy's location a few times, always had friendly and quick service, fast and good food. Always following the latest covid protocols, keeping us all safe! Glad to see them open again, will definitely be back.

Was just here for dinner, (~5pm, March 12th). We cam as a party of 9, and we had wonderful service. A lovely gentleman, and a server he was training at the time, made our experience great. They were very attentive, and personable. The food was also well made and delicious. Will definitely be back!

My new favourite breakfast spot! I had the eggs benedict and the hollandaise sauce was so good. My partner had the combo that came with eggs, sausage, ham and bacon (which he loved because he usually has to pick one) and pancakes. We added chocolate chips from the server's recommdation and I wish I took a photo to upload - there were so many! Lots of places only add a small handful but there was chocolate in every bite. So good!

This is my go-to breakfast place. The food is amazing and the staff are always so great at this location. Highly recommend!

This is the second Wimpy's Diner in the greater KW area. The original one is located on 1470 Weber St. E.in Kitchener. Anyways, this is the newer one located in a small plaza that is growing in size and will have a variety of stores located there. Location wise it's just off the 401 with good access to Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. So let's so to speak, get to the meat and potato's of this review. Wimpy's follows the old diner theme with old memorabilia on the walls and I think they did a good job. Seating is plentiful with large booths and some tables. 2 large TV's play news channels and washrooms are clean. The staff are friendly and helpful but can get overwhelmed when it gets real busy, so be nice and understand if it is. The food is, well it's Wimpy's and for me it has always been great. I have sampled breakfast, lunch and diner and they all been top notch. Breakfast is all day with a great selection. Burgers are 10oz of heaven. Hint, get the combo. Diner offers a nice selection and they always have a daily special. Okay, now that I have made myself hungry I just might make an excuse to go to Wimpy's. Stay safe.

Basically my go-to diner no matter what city it's in. Very few restaurant chains have such consistent quality. Try the breakfast poutine, it's perfection.

Second time at this location. Service was quick enough and that aspect, things were decent.
Now, I know they’re a chain so I’m not really reflecting on the staff per se.
The burgers are their main attraction, as they are not skimpy, to say the least. FYI: The junior version works for most appetites!
Burgers are decent enough although not made fresh, in house. The fries are nicely done golden but they’re frozen! Why? Fresh cut fries would redeem this plate somewhat as this is “heat and serve “ basically. I think they would benefit by switching as customers really love fresh cut. Just my 2cents. I like the nostalgic vibe and feel. Definitely a feel good joint right next to the place where you get that joint. Or not. Wimpy s is comfort food all the way.

Went there a pick up my order today (Uber eats said it was ready). When I got there, I told the ladies at the desk I was here for my order. Understandably, it was a bit busy and they were serving other guests. But I stood there for 6 minutes and nobody bothered to check if my order was actually ready. I could see it right there behind the counter. I had to ask her again, if my order was ready before anyone paid me any attention and then she went to the back to ask, only to be told it was right there the whole time. It wasn't very nice being ignored like that. Food was okay.

The service was fantastic! They allowed us to come in and order for dine in with 20 mins until close and then offered us dessert. Our waitress was friendly and made a couple jokes with us and the other patrons. Will definitely come back again! Thank you!

Hadn't been to a Wimpy's in over 20 years. Not my original diner, but staff and service top notch, price tag was a shocker. Overall burger was still quite good.

Ordered milkshake and was amazing! Service was good. Glad to have Wimpy's soo close.

December 27th I went to get curbside pick up. I figured my interaction would be short and sweet. But the girl who took my order was amazing. Couldn't have been happier with the service.

We ate here a while ago. We ordered four breakfast meals. The pancakes were unappealing, the eggs were cold, and the bacon was very fatty. The server didn't check on us and forgot two plates. When we were ready to leave we asked to have the food removed from the bill and she couldn't understand why. We had to show her that she didn't bring us all our food. She was good about changing the bill once we showed her.

Prices are a bit expensive. $35 for 2 sandwiches but very tasty. Not sure if they fully match the price but a good stop for all day breakfast (they do have a dinner menu if you want). Right next to a gas station so if you want a pit stop, would recommend!

Food was perfect, my milkshake was pre-made and stuck in a freezer so it was too frozen to drink, went back and they corrected it but a little bit annoying. Overall great!

Alot of food for a really great price. The restaurant was spotless and the decor was fitting for the diner. The service was amazing and the Hamburger was huge. I definitely had better burgers in my life but the atmosphere, portion size, and service made this a worthwhile visit.
