Wimpy's Diner

Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Was very clean. Food was great. Coffee tasty and fresh. My young children also really enjoyed their kids meals. Haven’t been to a Wimpy’s since I was a kid, and after coming here and enjoying it so much, I will certainly be back.

My wife really loved her spinach and feta omelette. I really enjoyed my classic breakfast with bacon.

I had a breakfast. It affects my scrambled eggs went through a, Blender they were cold. The home fries were raw potatoes.
Not very pleasant. Never again

As someone who has been in the service industry my entire life, this was the worst ever experience i have ever had. My parents own a diner and i have never ever seen this in my life. We went in and it took forever to get our drinks. The server took our order, and 20 minutes after ordering, she came back and told 2 of us that she did not have what we ordered. She did not apologize or try to fix this problem. Then when the food was brought, one of the orders was wrong and she blamed it on the customer. Then proceeded to come back and say it was actually their fault. My friend ordered 2 sausages and 2 bacons and got 4 bacon. When she came back she said she had given him the wrong order and it was for another table, she brought the plate with the correct order and did not even give it to him. She then did not come back over for 10 minutes and I had to call her over to get my friends sausages. Then when the bills came around, she brought one bill for the 5 of us, and when we asked for separate bills she rolled her eyes. She then brought over the split bills and had the wrong food with the wrong drinks. I myself had to bill our table out cause she had no idea what she was doing. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, service is terrible and I will never be going back.

There were flies and bees buzzing constantly at us because the front door was wide open. Three buttermilk pancakes were actually only two. The "Ceasar" salad was some generic dressing, definitely not Caesar. The onion rings were sitting in a pool of grease. The coffee tasted burnt and old.
The server was pleasant and friendly but there was only one other table of two eating and he came back a third time to clarify our order (pancakes with bacon, and Caesar salad with onion rings).

I went in wimpys diner with my family members. The food was so delicious and service was amazing.

Absolutely terrible. Three occupied tables, two servers and two cooks. After 45 minutes we had a coke (no ice, machine broke) and coffee. We walked out!

I had the hot hamburger and a few days ago breakfast.
I say it is the best Wimpys I have gone to.
This should be a key teaing restaurant for the franchise!

Started with no chocolate milk then chocolate milk. No chicken fingers then chicken fingers. Ordered children's cheese burgers got grilled cheese. Ketchup watered down and mustard was old and brown. Ordered mashed potatoes with meal and had mush with brown bits served. Went home and tossed any leftovers into the fire pit. Will never go back.

Waste of time! How do you only have 1 cook and 1 server on a busy Friday morning? Even though the menu looked good, I couldn't rate the food because after an hour after placing our order it still hadn't even been started to be cooked! I feel bad for the server trying to keep up, but a heads up on the wait time would have been nice as we were passing thru on our trip to Ottawa. This is a reflection of poor staffing by management. I've never been to wimpys and after this experience I will never go back to any.

New menu, new staff, incredible food and service! Had the fried-chicken and waffles, delicious! Highly recommend!

They have revamped and have never been better! The new menu is amazing and the food is out of this world! Try the chicken parm! You won’t be disappointed and our server Drew was so nice!

Great breakfast, good pricing and my server Drew was very nice and gave great service. My food was ready in 10 minutes. It’s my favourite place for breakfast in Peterborough.

Hi, I visited with my friends food was tasteless and not on time. Moreover, i ask for sauce and it will comes when i finished my half food.i totally frustrated

Got a take out order tonight for myself and my husband.
I got the fish burger and even with asking for lettuce, tomato and onion on it, it was definitely not worth the price I was charged! So if you do not ask for any toppings you get a bun with a greasy piece of fish and tartar sauce!
Also got onion rings with my fish burger. I had 1 onion ring and 1 bite of the fish sandwich and the roof of my mouth was loaded with grease. Not only that but the onion rings were burnt.
The cole slaw that comes with the order isnt filled to the top of the container and you get maybe 3 to 4 forkful of it. Which may be a blessing in disguise because the colour of it was not appealing at all!
Would not even give them a star if I didnt have to!

We waited 40 minutes after ordering lunch for it to arrive at the table. Then they forgot cutlery, which added to the delay. Customers who ordered after us received their lunch before we did. No apology, just told the kitchen is “backed up”. This was much the same experience as the previous visit. I won’t be returning.

Food wasn't to bad went there yesterday for lunch gotta change there burger bun though to match the burger size service was alright food was delivered decent time.

Breakfast was amazing and filling as always. Our food was cooked exactly as requested. Our waiter Oren was very pleasant

Enjoyed this Peterborough wimpy restaurant far better than wimpy in whitby which was terrible service and rude waitress.

Ordered through Uber eats. Waited TWO HOURS, 3 different drivers tried to pick up our food and it wasn’t ready. The order was cancelled. After reading reviews here, I’m never eating here again.

I will never go here again! I got my hot dog and had to wait 5 mins for my fries that came as a combo. My hot dog tasted burnt you can tell the grill is dirty. The ketchup he brought me was absolutely soured. By glass had chunks of old food stuck to it. The table has crumbs and coffee stains from the last person who sat there. (There was literally noone there when we got there so not busy) and they close at 8 and when someone showed up at 5: 40 to eat they were lied to and told they were closing soon. My husband asked about this and he said he didn't want the kitchen getting busy. There were 3 tables seated. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. And I was not offered even so much as a comped drink. Disgusting.

Went in for breakfast.bacon was over cooked fried potatoes were awful I will never go to this location for breakfast again.all they gave us back was the price of a couple slices of the bacon.

Just waited 45 mins for a cold eggs benedict. The eggs appeared to be just the yolk like where is the rest of the egg? Portion of homefries small which werent even a real potatoes almost like a sliced can of potatoes. Coffee was strong and not drinkable. Waiter offered us pie for the complaint but who wants pie with breakfast. Definitely never returning for a $41 breakfast for 2. Not even worth the 1 star but had to in order to do the review

Good food and great 50s vibes. The breakfast was super tasty and the best attraction was the photo wall. The servers were really nice and friendly. It made my day!
