WIMPY’S DINER

This wimpys franchise is the only one we ever go to. Always great value for the price, great and fast service. The owners are so kind too.

Generally, when a guest enters an establishment, they are greeted, or at the very least, their existence is acknowledged with a nod or a smile. We were met with no such hospitality and waited for at least 8-10 minutes feeling more like an inconvenience than a customer. We took our business to Sunset Grill on Fairway and it was delicious.

If you are comfortable with an old fashioned 50's style diner, then Wimpy's is for you. Good food and good sized portions. Often when I visit Mom, this is the place we like to go. Little neighbourhood restaurants like this are a real gem.

We were a group of 10. They were unable to seat us altogether. We had to split up 6 and four, which wasn't very conducive for conversation with all 10. Prices are expensive for breakfast. The food was good, but nothing special. They had no 55+ seniors menu. Too much food for an older person. That's not why I said it was too expensive. $18+ for bacon and eggs with a coffee and toast (includes tax) is a bit much for a Diner. That's just my opinion.

I had been going to wimpys for years, but the mouth watering meal I got on June 24 2023 was a disappointment. It was Grilled Haddock, a meal that consisted of grilled haddock, Greek salad and rice my husband would have fries. To my surprise the waitress said we don’t use rice in this dish. We’ll rice is cheap and the choice of potato didn’t cut it. If it was a special outing I would have left but the other parties because it was planned we stayed. I was so disappointed in my meal not for the quality but for the absence of the meal item. Thank you for letting me comment on you meal.

We had a great breaky for sure there was a wait and a line was to be expected tho Father's day. We were very lucky tho great wItressso cute and helpful! Food was hot more then enough and we were informed how long it would be for our order.was really good.

For the years I have been going to this place the food has been great and the service is excellent.

As an update to the review above I still go here and it's just as good as the first time.

We went on a busy Saturday morning. Was greeted promptly and didn't have to wait long for a seat. However, once we sat down, we were ignored for 20+ minutes. No coffee, even! It took us a good several minutes even to get someone's attention to our table. So, I was disappointed with that. But the coffee and food is good. I really enjoyed the waffle! I hope the bad service was a one-off and I will try again soon.

Before/at the beginning of the pandemic, I’ve always enjoyed their breakfast food but today when I went back, I was disappointed. Everything is ridiculously overpriced for the amount and quality they’re serving. The eggs are so dry I’m quite sure they used separated egg whites and threw in a few some egg yolks. Very disappointed.

The entire environment is filled with signs from the 50s and 60s, with great service and delicious food.

I had the fish and is was very greasy which surprised me as the other Kitchener location it was delicious.

The server must of been having a bad day as she wasn't overly friendly.
