Ordered last year and drove across town to find out my order was never made. Decided to try again and with the understanding delivery would be up to 2.5 hours. Food showed up cold as they don’t use a insulated bag and showed up after almost 3.5 hours. I was promised one of the dishes didn’t have sesame in it due to an allergy and it arrives with sesame on it. No soy sauce, plum sauce or for fortune cookies that were included in the meal special. Very disappointed to be eating cold food safer waiting an extra hour and spending 100 dollars on dinner.
Food was lack lustre at best. Forgot our Chinese fried rice with our dinner for 5. Never had take out Chinese before where they forgot the rice. Offered to refund our rice dish. Not worth the drive there to get the refund.
Polite, fast, accurate and will deliver to Puslinch area (The country) They don’t over flour the chicken balls which is a nice change! Tasty and fresh!
Win Chinese restaurant has to be one of my best Asian restaurants. They have very tasty meals and pastries. I always look forward to having a meal from them. Unfortunately, I have no photos to share at the moment, but would take photos when next I visit.
I ordered from them tonight for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to find a Chinese restaurant I would like, and this one surprised me greatly. We got a variety of items from the menu and they were all pretty great.
It's not the most delicious & authentic chinese food I've ever tasted, but for a cheap and quick takeout option I give it 5 stars. The food here is exactly you would expect chinese takeout to be. The chow mein and lo mein options are both tasty with big portions. The general tao chicken is flavourful, sometimes can be a little chewy. The chicken balls don't have much breading but have a big piece of chicken, which is how I like it. The different combination plates are all really great! This restaurant also consistently follows instructions with no complaints. If I want any type of substitution for items, it has never been an issue! Really fast service as well.
It was very good! Had a late dinner last night. Ordered a combo and a hot and sour soup. When I went to bed a few hours later I remembered my meal and was looking forward to going there for lunch the next day! Seriously I’m going now
*** See new review below. A change from 1 star to 4.
We have ordered Chinese food from Win since it first opened (then Wings and Noodles). Has the ownership changed? It has steadily declined in the past few months. We ordered our New Years food on December the 30th, so the order would be ready in plenty of time. We asked that the order be ready for 5: 45 on the 31st. It was ready at 7: 00! It seemed like they didn't even start our order until we arrived at 5: 45. Several other people that had pre-ordered were waiting over an hour as well. We asked for a discount as we had 12 very hungry people waiting for their dinner. We didn't receive a discount. We were to receive 2 free dishes for an order over $58. We only received one free dish. The one free one that cam was chicken fried rice and since we were getting a free one, we didn't order any more rice. It came in a tiny stryrofoam container, not even a full size. The chicken balls were small and dry, and over the past few months the plastic containers containing food have shrunk in size. Very disappointed and we won't be back. On the hunt again for a good place to get Chinese food in Guelph!
*** Since my above review, the owners have changed and everything has changed for the better. A friend told me to try them again and I was glad I did. The food is high quality- tasty, fresh, good protions, good prices, and big chunks of chicken in the chicken balls. Wins is now our go to for Chinese food. Ordered here on New Year's Even and despite their busyness, our order was ready right in time. I recommend Wins once again! ***
So good the kids asked to order it again the next night! Great quality, fresh and hot. Good size portions and friendly staff. This will be our go to spot!
Recently ate here for the first time and enjoyed it. Could have used bigger chicken balls and more sweet and sour sauce, as they only came with little sauce dishes. But the food was still quite good! Beef and broccoli was great! Rice was fantastic! Won tons were great - lemon chicken was mostly batter. But that with the chicken balls was definitely enough for two meals!
Me and my boyfriend come here every time we want to have Chinese, and are not disappointed. The fried rice always comes out delicious, and the sesame chicken we order is full of flavour and is always hot when we pick it up. My only qualm is that the chicken inside the sesame chicken can sometimes be a little hard and stringy, which makes it difficult to eat. Besides that, everything else is top tier. Would recommend this take out place when you’re in the mood for Chinese.
Best and most consistent Chinese food in Guelph. Easily the best quality. Amazing noodle dishes especially. Give them a try, I drive there all the way from the ward every time we want Chinese food!
The quality of food in Guelph is pretty low and I think the people living here aren't aware of that and inflate ratings. Win is mediocre, not great not awful. Options are limited in terms of half decent chinese food so would recommend if you are really craving.
Best Chinese food I’ve had in Guelph. I never write reviews but this restaurant is a rare gem. My experience in culinary school helps me decipher What is home made and fresh. The orange chicken is clearly made in house with care. The beef noodles you can also tell that they individually bbq the meat. Incredible attention to detail and I’m very happy with my first order. I’ll be eating your Chinese food again shortly. Thank you for your commitment to great cuisine.
We have ordered a bunch of times and it’s always great! We will be taking a break from there though as our last order wasnt very impressive. No dipping sauce with our cheese wontons and no fortune cookies and sauces. For the price we’re paying I expect to get everything we ordered. And we mentioned it and got nothing in return for it. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere for awhile.
This place is amazing, best Chinese food I've found in Guelph so far. Ordered the Appetizers for 2 particularly for the cheese wontons, it did not disappoint. Also got beef and vegetables, sesame chicken, orange chicken, and veggie fried rice. Everything was so good, not dry, lots of sauce, and leftovers were just as good the next day. I will definitely be returning.
Pictured is the veg mein feng, sesame chicken, chicken balls, and sauteed mixed vegetables. Chicken balls are good, but they are small. The flavour of the sesame chicken is very good, just wish it was a little crispier (my own preference). I don't like the sauce in the mixed vegetables, wish I didn't even bother. And the mein feng is as expected, but next time I'd just stick with my regular lo mein. Overall decent experience, all of this was $40 (after tax) if you want an idea of the pricing.
Got sick from their food after they wasted my time with a wrong order. Had to go back and get the right order. I would usually buy from here because its convenient and much closer to me than Ray's, but it looks like the extra distance to Ray's is more worth it and I Wont be going back to this place!
I’m not one to complain, but this was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The food arrived cold and one entire dish was missing. Beef and broccoli tasted like rubber bands, and everything else was just bad. Waste of money. Very disappointed.
This used to be my go-to place with the tastiest Chinese food around and while my order tonight from skip the dishes tasted great, the Singapore noodle had no curry in it. I was under the impression that that's what Singapore noodles were. I used to get them all the time. What have you done to my beloved noodles?: (
Decided to have takeout chinese food tonight and was pleasantly surprised on the taste and quantity of all our dishes. Cantonese chow mein, beef with cashews, house rice and 4 egg roll, we received a free wonton crab for ordering we loved this and would recommend this place to anyone we all have full belly's here big thumbs up
Food was fresh and tasty. Would have liked more sauce on the garlic chicken. Picked it up at the tjme i was told it would be ready but still had to wait 25 minutes. It was New Years day, so they were very busy, but they could improve in their pick up time eatimates.
