Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life.
Pro's:
- Service was polite - Food was ready fast
Cons:
- Received Lo Mein instead of Chow Mein - General tao chicken felt rubbery, undercooked and slimey - Hardly any chicken in the chicken fried rice, and was very bland - Beef was tough and felt over cooked with the beef and broccoli
Food was great, quick, and still hot and fresh upon arrival. Only complaint was that there was an excess amount of noodles than veggies and chicken combined. Portions are also huge so plenty of leftover noodles for the the next day:)
Moved from Toronto and we were looking for authentic Chinese food in Bowmanville and found it! Love it even more especially it’s a family business run over 15 years. We took the beef curry, beef with bean sprouts, shrimp & lobster and seafood chow mien! They all tasted amazing for what you would expect Recommended to our Bowmanville community.
Great Chinese restaurant. The owners and waiters were all really nice. I didn’t know what to order and the waiter patiently explained what each dish is and provided personal recommendations based on some dishes I told him I’ve tried before.
Love their food but unfortunately they don't deliver any more so we dont get very often. Only reason giving 4 stars not 5. They are the best in Bowmanville.
My son just bought Chinese food from Win Yeung Garden. It was absolutely delicious and fresh. This is the best we have had in a long time. We picked it up, only took 25 minutes from ordering. Thanks again Win Yeung Garden.
This is the worst. Overcooked! Everything was brown and limp. I should clarify! Vegetables that are supposed to be Green and still a bit crunchy ie broccoli, ‘green’ peppers, (there was zero snow peas, this is a first) ; were brown & limp. I am 100% aware of what a Bean Sprout is; after the hundreds of times in my life that I have eaten this type of food around the Globe! Never served soft, brown and mushy and totally overcooked vegetables and tasteless WonTon soup. I am editing here. For the response to be so condescending is pathetic! I am fully aware of deep frying and that oil is required. Please drain the oil or better yet, change it more frequently. I am a foodie. I know great, food. Handmade Spring rolls were greasy, tough and chewy. Greasy lemon chicken, tiny deep fried shrimp. Everything seemed re-heated. To prepare all of this food in 15 minutes answers many reasons why the food is so bad. Waste of $78. They only offer take-out. No wonder. If I was served this quality of food at a sit down service, I would return it. I suggest you use this review to improve the quality of your food. Not to be condescending and in denial. The photos are deceiving! They look nothing at all what I received.
Mediocre at best. The chicken balls were all batter with a cube of chicken. There were a few pieces of chow mien that were questionable as to how long they were cooked. Very good egg rolls and fried rice though.
Great service when I stopped by for takeout. Had a chance to try their hot and sour soup and Shanghai noodles. Both were very good and better then I expected to find in this area. Glad I found a good Chinese option in Bowmanville and can't wait to go back.
Very disappointed in the food here. We had an issue years ago and decided to maybe try again. Big mistake. Mushy rice, bland appetizers, chicken balls were fine. General Tao chicken had no heat and overly sweet. Such a shame
