Windermere Manor

The place is clean but outdated. The towels are all ripped. The walls in the bathroom have been partially repaired. The taps all very old.

Friendly service and big room. So close to the hospital so much better than having to drive across town.

This place is like home. They make your stay such a good one, and have a restaurant on sight with homemade food. It is situated so close to London University Hospital that you can walk.

Went for a wedding and loved it.
Silly booze rules dictated by the university. No shots or doubles. Totally ridiculous.

Was great lots of seating staff were friendly and willing to help. Lots of parking and it is great for a big events. Food was okay it was just finger foods at the event but very good wide selection.

Decent hotel to stay in for a night as I’ve been a few times now, but given the price, it definitely needs updating. The bathtub/shower is grungy and on my most recent visit, the light in the entrance to my room went out, the hairdryer stopped working halfway through my blow dry and the room was out of tissues. The free breakfast option is pretty decent but it was much nicer when in the Ninety-One restaurant and not the small, crowded room in the basement.

Beautiful venue, surprisingly good food. We went there for a wedding a few weeks ago and the Hotel suite was much bigger and nicer than we imagined. There were some curious decor decisions like a close up picture of bees you might see in a horror movie montage. We later realized there was a bee keeping area (hive?) outside, so I appreciated the continuity. Our server seemed mad and was slamming our plates though. And the bartender would not serve shots because of campus rules. I guess it's not their fault for that though. Weather was good, although that doesn't add to the venue one way or another, it's just something I thought I'd share. Front desk staff was also very generous at the hotel and gave my brother a toothbrush which I appreciated

We got married in September at Windermere Manor, and their coordinator Lesley Rebry was great to work with. The Manor was affordable, classy, vintage and beautiful. With Lesley's assistance everything was easy to organize and she always new exactly what I wanted. Our Wedding day was perfect, and I would highly recommend this venue,

We got married on Sept 27,2019 and we are so glad that we chose Windermere Manor as our wedding venue. Our coordinator Lesley was amazing to work with from our first meeting onward. She went above and beyond answering many questions over email in a very quick response time, she helped firm up every detail, made sure our event orders were always up to date so we never lost track of pricing, worked very well with all our other vendors, and on the day of she kept everything running smoothly and made sure we always had everything we needed (including food!) Big thank you to Lesley. As well, all the staff were amazing. My family and friends told me they loved the bartenders, and that the catering staff were all very friendly and professional. The food was so amazing, and we are still hearing from guests how much they all loved the food. The venue itself has a beautiful charm and really didn't require a lot of decoration because its historical beauty speaks for itself. We had our dream wedding here and wouldn't have changed a thing! I can’t thank Windermere enough for what they did to make our wedding day special! Jomcy, Leslie and the rest of the team were amazing to work with! The food was excellent and we had so many compliments throughout the night. The space is beautiful and we would recommend it for a wedding venue!

Nice place to stay. Great location near University of Western campus, yet isolated enough due to its location and the surrounding nature. Staff and room is nice. Breakfast was quite lacking for the price, but still enough selection to enjoy.

If you wanna go to hell this is the closest place too it, the manager was extremely unpleasant, they gave us a different price then promised over the phone. When confronted about it she went into defence mode and was very rude, and to put the cherry on top we were taken advantage of and charged extra for a “missing bathrobe” that I didn’t even know was in the room in the first place. It bothers me that they can get away with something like this because they think we have no say as young adults. I’d rather chew rocks then come back to this place.

I have stayed here many times over the years and referred all our board and committee members as it’s close location to the university and our office. I have been disappointed this last trip. I realize it’s thanksgiving Monday but every hotel I’ve been to would still provide an option for dinner if they allow guests to stay and pay full rates. The rooms on the bottom floor are showing their age and need some work. Dressers are damaged. Sinks and tub not the best. Tile black in corners. Televisions are getting pretty old. Upper floors have nicer rooms but are more expensive. The location is beautiful but nothing is nearby unless you drive for 20 min. When checking in or booking it could have been mentioned that the restaurant would not be open. Providing a microwave may help in these situations. The restaurant is very nice when open but has gone a bit too fancy. Be nice to see more simple options for room service. Just some thought to keep long time customers coming back.

Located in a beautiful area slightly away from the busy city. Warm friendly welcome, exceptionally delicious food at a reasonable price. Lovely dining area with huge windows that allow you to enjoy the wooded area.

I been trying to book a venue tour for a while now. Seems like no one can keep a job or they just don’t care no one calls back! After 3 months I’m told they will not give me a tour because they are busy! Thanks for nothing:) :)

CHEYENNE was a lifesaver at the bar for our wedding this past august. She was working really hard and was by herself:). She should get a raise.

Wedding venue and ceremony was lovely, as was the reception set up. Music was very loud, service sloppy and food was disappointing.

Experience was ok but not memorable. Food was nothing to write home about. However, the server was attentive, prompt and polite

The decor is a bit outdated but the beds were comfy and the place had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Included breakfast was delicious, especially the biscuits!

Outstanding! A real cut above. Intimate atmosphere, great food, comprehensive and varied wine list. Five stars.

I was here for a corporate function. The setting is very pretty and peaceful. The servers were courteous. The food was tasty. The sangria was on point. My only suggestion would be to have an awning or umbrellas for shade for their patio out back.

Been there twice for brunch (only offered once per month on Saturday). Remember to book ahead! Love it! Enough food for two. A bit high in carb and calories if you are on diet. But cheat meal per month here won’t hurt! The teas are good too! Very quite and comfortable. If you are lucky enough, you may also see some wild animals outside the window. Location is far from noisy centre.

A wonderful hotel, great food, good prices and pathways into a small forest. Saw a wild turkey on the property.

Love this hotel! Staff are great and very accommodating- management is friendly and warm with great suggestions on what to do & where to eat in London. The hotel is clean- our bed is super comfy & crisp fresh linens are so soft I don't want to ever check out! The grounds are beautiful and calming and they have their own bees! - so you can buy local honey directly from them.
The restaurant on site 'Ninety One 91' has a wonderful chef & staff. The menu for breakfast, lunch & dinner is fabulous! My only complaint is that breakfast finishes too early for me- especially on the weekend. Other than that - this place is amazing! 5 stars! We will stay here whenever we need a hotel in London. Thank you Windermere- We Love staying here!

Excellent service in a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely stay again at the Windermere Manor. The attached restaurant has a wide selection with a tasty contential breakfast. The manager (Gwen Wu) provided excellent service and kind conversation.

Quaint, friendly and extremely quiet. Great continental breakfast included. It's in a beautiful location close to Western University.a little tricky to find, but worth it as you find yourself on a hill in a park-like setting. Rooms are older, large and impeccably clean.

I was at Windermere Manor for two weeks while my husband was in hospital. They're proximity to University Hospital is perfect. They have a compassionate rate which was helpful and free breakfast. The free laundry service was also very helpful as I had no idea I would be there for so long. The staff were helpful and friendly and seeing the reindeer at breakfast was awesome

Attended a birthday party. Service was excellent. The venue is cozy and the food was quite tasty. The desert was too sweet and the coffee was essentially brown water. Over all a great experience.

Comfortable bed, clean room. Nice location. Missing a few things like a long mirror but otherwise fine. Great restaurant on site.

This is a great location for the University. The rooms and the location are solid, clean, standard places. Nothing fancy, but everything taken care of. The breakfast is definitely a highlight - this place shines because of the staff though. They're always helpful. Overall, a good stay.

Windermere manor is an old property, so it does not have modern touches and it has not been renovated in a while. It is reasonably clean and comfortable though. My only issue was the front desk staff - in the morning young man handed me the receipt with 150$ extra restaurant charges on it. He seemed annoyed when I brought it to his attention and said he would need to consult the accountant before proceeding, and that he would email me later. Mistakes happen, that's fine, but his general demeanor was not pleasant. On the good side, the issue was resolved within 20 mins or so (I received an email with an updated bill). But it was a bit unnerving for a minute.

The food at the 91 was excellent but the service was slow. Dinner for a party of 14 took four hours after bills were paid. So give yourselves plenty of time.

Very nice reception hall. Service was excellent. Meals were amazing and so delicious. Highly recommend these people to anyone wanting an exceptional experience

Very fine restaurant! My parents and I stayed at the Windermere, and came in for supper at the restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive!

Worth the visit my husband and I go here every year for our anniversary. The restaurant is too much money for dinner without the deals they offer and not really that yummy, but the breakfast is quite well done.

Located not to far from Western University; Windmere Manor has a beautiful charm. Considering its location, it very quiet; with London's traffic&not to far from University Hospital it came as quite a surprise.

The employees are very helpful&kind; they make everyone feel welcome.

The manor is beautiful&well maintained. The grounds are beautiful with what London has left for tall trees. They produce their own honey& the hives are located perfectly away from the Manor&parking area.

Not to far from Masonville, it is not only a beautiful place to stay it has a lot of convenience with its location if your intentions are for shopping. They do on site have rooms set up for business, a gym, a restaurant with delicious food which I would highly recommend.

It is a place unlike any other. Affordable&picturesque.

Now called Restaurant 91. Serene surroundings give way to a quiet, enjoyable atmosphere to enjoy nicely presented delicious food. Make reservations and enjoy a delightful brunch, lunch or dinner.

The food and service was very good. The only thing was the price was kind of steep. It was 30 dollars for a buffet style meal. There isn't a large variety in selection so for 30 dollars hope that you like what they do have.
