Window City

Came in for a set of window tilt latches on a pair of windows they have installed back in 2008, a gentleman named Chris helped me with the parts in less than a minute. He also showed me on how to replace them in their show room. Very clean and professional environment overall.

Thanks so much Window City. The tilt latches on one of our vinyl windows broke, making it impossible to open. I reached out to Window City and Chris from the parts department got back to me on the replacement parts same day. When I visited their Woodbridge location to pick up the parts, reception was so helpful, located Chris who gave me two sets of latches at no charge! Amazing place. Thank you Chris and Window City.

Factory tech comes for the 3rd time to fix, but light is still coming in through the weather strippings, the tech said, pull the door in and let the lock act to keep the door tight (nonsense). To start with, the door does not line up and shut evenly atop the weather stripping (i.e. The hinge side is closer to the frame than the lock side).

Beware, this blue tinted is what WindowCity refers to White colour for their doors, forget about colour matching, the trim and the body colour are not even close.

The pivot bars and tilt latches broke on one window. Chris from the service department went above and beyond to accommodate my request. He is very professional in handling every aspect of the case. He is a very thoughtful gentleman. Thanks Chris.

Many years later after installing all the Windows in my home, I had some broken latches and loose parts on the windows.
Chris was very helpful. He was very responsive, helped me with the replacements, and showed me how to install them.

A great BIG thank you to “Chris” in Service. I have had an issue with the obtaining the Bug Screen, for our sliding Patio Door. Phoned Chris and explained the issue I was having and he very quickly analyzed me problem and offer me the solution. Great experience with customer service! I worked with Chris to solve an issue with a trigger on a window of the house that I just bought (the window had been changed over 15 years ago). I couldn't come to the store so I sent them a prepaid envelope and Chris sent me back a few replacement parts for free. I will definitely work with Window city when I will replace my windows on my second floor!

I am a senior and had a great service experience with Window City today. Their serviceman, Philip, not only fixed a new window, but he contacted his supervisor and arranged to service windows that were no longer under warranty - for free. Window City installed the windows for my house. For 18 years, they are still solid. They even provide spare parts free of charge. Their price was good.

Chris Dadswell was very helpful in providing both the parts and expertise I needed to replace a side clip on a double hung window. The clip and slider had broken during the cleaning process when the window is tilted in for easy cleaning of the outside of the window from inside the house. He provided a video link, BUT also showed me and gave me some tips that made it easy to replace the slider and clip so we are ready for winter

Had a few minor repairs on our 11 year old windows and contacted Chris at customer service who was very personable and helpful. Was able to pick up the weather stripping for our patio door for a very nominal fee and was shown how to apply it. Also the upper plastic tabs on the screens had broken and were replaced free of charge. Would deal with Window City again in the event we moved and needed new windows.

We purchased a home 10 years ago with windows that were manufactured by Window City. Two of the windows had broken latches. After contacting Chris in the service dept, we were supplied with the replacement latches free of charge. We just had to pay a small shipping charge. Excellent customer service!

I recently moved into a new house with a number of WindowCity windows. It was clear that the previous owners hadn't been too careful as a number of them had broken latches. Chris at WindowCity was more than helpful in determining what I needed for replacements, providing the video to help me do the replacements myself, and sending me the latch kits. Great service!

My experience with WindowCity has been AMAZING yes 5 star. Many years later after installing all the Windows in my home.
I went to get advice about a few parts from Chris. He had the knowledge and answers. As well the parts in stock and saved me lots of time.

Would give -0 stars if I could.

Garbage windows- worst support. Multiple windows have all failed after 3 years. Leaks from the multiple points. This company blames the installers- yet leaking is from the handles, etc. Not just on one window- but on 6 of them. Major defect in manufacturing. Let's see what the response is and what they are prepared to do? I will keep you posted. Avoid this company- they make every excuse to blame everyone else.

I would recommend Window City and its products. Their customer service is excellent, in particular Chris. He provided me with the parts and instructions I needed to make a minor repair, potentially saving me 100s of $ in service and repair costs.

I had to replace the tilt latches on a window and Window City gave me the latches for free. Nice. After installing the latches securing the vinyl cover requires a bit of force but if you use a hammer or rubber mallet and start at one end it snaps back in.

My home had LOVELY new windows installed before I purchased it in 2011. When I needed new parts I was unsure what to do so I contacted the service department. They told me that they would come fix them but that the part I needed only cost $7 and they would send it to me along with a YouTube video (or i could go pick it up). The service department was so helpful and kind and I am so happy with this solution. I even emailed from multiple emails by accident but they were still able to find my file. I live quite far from the store so this option was amazing! Thank you Window City!

Amazing staff! Mr. ED Mohajer was the gentleman whom I approached for plenty of questions and suggestions. Even though I got there almost end of the day, he was found super polite, knowledgeable and patience and professional enough to spend quality time for me to explain all my questions.
We received a call in 24-48hours from a contractor suggested by them! We met in a day after! Very polite and knowledgeable sales person. Provided the real Quote and not over priced like many others! We were planning to change few items but we decided to do almost triple! Whole the competitors are still planning to provide us a visit or working on the quote after 5 weeks!
And just using the excuse being Busy!

Sent an online request needing replacement parts for my window. Chris in service dept.was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain how to install the part. Nice to see a company such as Window City looks after their customers.

We had purchased a home with windows that came from Window City, and there was some damage that needed fixing. Replacement parts were provided and they even showed me how to do the fix myself. Chris in Service was a great help. I called asked for Service. He was able to understand exactly what I required in terms of parts. I had the classic hung vertical and horizontal windows installed over 10 years ago, am extremely happy with them; excellent quality, no issues. Top notch customer service, very friendly, attentive and quick to respond over both email and phone. Rare.

WindowCity does not deal directly with the public so I am surprised to see all the good comments on how people contacted WindowCity to install some windows. WindowCity only deals with contractors and refers any issues with their windows with the contractor. When an issue occurs the contractor has to set up a ticket to have the situation resolved. WindowCity can decide if they want to fix the issues.

A contractor used WindowCity windows in Alberta and WindowCity says that they were unaware that the windows were being installed in Alberta. That is not true. WindowCity came to Calgary in May 2016 to see first hand the problems and toured the city with Serge. WindowCity also had a conversation with Igor in 2013 at my house when you were trying to discuss how to fix my windows. Your solution was to tighten the locks even tighter. That made the windows harder to lock and still the windows did not touch the seal allowing air to come in. Frost on the windows in winter, fog in between panes in the winter, one of my windows I have to push out as the locking mechanism sticks to my window, rust on the metal, oxidation of the rubber seal, dirt being trapped in the seal. WindowCity says that is not covered under warranty.read the exclusions.

WindowCity of course will say that they have no record of these windows so I have included some pictures.

3) rusting screws
4) pin comes out of crank and you have to use a ViseGrip to push it back in
5) rubber seal oxidizes over time and changes color
6) frost in between panes
7) laminate peeling

Was looking for some hardware for my windows that I bought 20 years ago. Not only did they still have the hardware I needed but the design was improved upon, and they had it in stock. With Chris Dadswell's help I was able to pick it up and have it in my hand the same day. Chris even took the time to show me how to install the hardware. Outstanding customer service that is hard to find these days.

Bought a house with broken latches after renovations on a couple windows. I called the service department and spoke with Chris who said to come in and ask for him. He came out from back, supplied me with a couple replacement parts and then took time to show me how to install them. Was amazed at the personal attention and effort I received from this company and specifically Chris. Well done.
