Been on hold for 20 minutes because there app has been glitching for days now won’t let me make a new account won’t let me continue as guest won’t let me change password, phone call also gave zero indication of waiting time, website dose not even state hours so it’s impossible to know if any one is even in the building to answer, at this point it is just poor customer service and anyone who says other wise is being paid to say so, I’ve hade a lovely time at many stations as well as via trains and consider my self a loyal customer to the company that being said I have always hade issues with the Windsor station almost every time I go there rushing me saying goodbye to loved ones staff there time and time again let me down as much as there is great people there me and my partner have been hazed and rushed their quite often even when there is plenty of time, it’s to the point I honestly rather go to the Chatham station and if you know the difference you know what I am talking about the one place has zero staff and locks the building doors so you can’t use the public bathrooms and I would rather go there and risk bumping into a c**** head then put up with the poor customer services that the Windsor station offers honestly this is a rant but this has been a long time coming (1) needs a best guess of time wait for your phone call on your machine is needed especially if your app goes down (2) post the hours of operations and I feel like stupid for having to say that, even if you don’t have staff there all day post the hours they are in the office and on the phones answering emails (3) management of this branch needs to be strongly investigated recommend replacement or adding more managers to ensure Thai’s location run logically (4) standers of treating customers the only reason your company has customer loyalty is because of your privatization of this industry it has nothing to do with how you treat your customers when it comes to customer services and your honestly lucky you don’t have competitors and it shows you know this and have no reason to improve your standards - pretty sure no one care but it is now 49 minutes of me being on the phone with no update

The most pathetic rail service on Saturday, like literally, I had booking from to and fro Toronto, Windsor and each trip was delayed, literally that's pathetic, 6hrs from Toronto to Windsor, Via rail r u serious, and from Windsor to Toronto again 6hrs, pathetic, this would be my last journey with Via Rail.

Terrible, no air conditioning and the train was delayed by 30 minutes. If you have a car, take that instead.

First time taking via rail so i opted for Busniess class to make my trip better. I'd say it is worth it just for the the seat comfort and space, but didn't know they wont serve alcahol before 9am and they stop serving you alcahol 1 hour prior to your arrival. Reguardless if you have a hour and 15 minutes left it becomes a deal breaker

Difficult to get a cap here. For those heading to the Detroit, call Uber and cross the border with it. Or you can head to the international transit center nearby at Canada, and a bus there to cross the border.

Ridiculously bad service my bag was 5 lbs over she asked me discard 5 lbs I said “discard 5 lbs of personal possessions? ” She was rude I asked for a refund the offered to send me a “cheque” in the mail…. Ya right, ridiculous! This will be my last time using via rail.

Via Rail is never on time and the food in first class is terrible. I'd recommend Via Rail to people who want to save a bit of cash, but honestly just pay a bit more and fly.

Never using Via Rail again. Hadn’t seen my wife in a while and we planned for me to take the train up and drive down with her.

Instead, I receive an email a hour out telling me the train has been cancelled. I’ve wasted over $60 in rides to and from the station, paid boarding for our dogs, spent hours of planning and packing just to not go anywhere. Also they refunded to the wrong card.

First and last experience with Via Rail. Wish I could give 0 stars.

The staff are very nice and accommodating. I was on my way to Toronto from Windsor. I was assigned a seat rear facing, i feel sick and having a head ache because of the seating arrangement. So I asked Carole the service manager of the train number i was in if i can transfer to a front facing seat and without hesitation she was so nice and kind to help me. It actually made my day. Cos I have a day ahead and I dont wanna feel sick. Kudos!

I am still waiting (since August 2022) for an apology from Via Rail Windsor for very public abuse by a customer service representative who had a Via Rail policy wrong. She yelled at me & threatened me everytime she saw me in the full station for a POLICY SHE FAILED TO LEARN. Do you think this will be forgotten? Abuse and threats are unprofessional beyond reason. This shows very bad management and a very poor representation of the company. Via train your staff properly and if they are too lazy to do what is right, fire them. They do no one any good.

I’ve always loved viarail for how flexible and accommodating they are.

Today I took an early train from Windsor to Toronto in business class and as a person who always checks menus ahead, I was looking for information on the breakfast situation but didn’t find much so here you go!

We were offered coffee/tea/etc and a bagel with cream cheese/jam within the first hour. The bagel tasted freshly baked!

We were offered beverages a bit past 11, your choice of wine/beer/spirit/soda/water and a lil snack baggie.

Then around 12: 30 they came around with lunch options, we had switched seats last minute so were considered last minute bookings and didn’t have a choice of meal - ended up with vegetarian manicotti and haddock with rice pilaf which were both good! I had the chicken salad on the way back and it was the worst of the three. It also came with a curried carrot salad, choice of bread, vegan brownie, and choice of wine (or water in our case).

Our train is running almost an hour late to Toronto due to issues in London but we are in no rush. Love travelling viarail! Thanks to the amazing stewards!

The Windsor Via Rail station itself is small and cozy with friendly customer service personnel. It has a snack bar, currency exchange, a brochure stand, washroom and plenty of seats in the waiting area which was well lit and clean.

The boarding of the train was well organized with Business class passengers first and then those boarding in the most rear cars to allow them time to board.

The train cars were clean, smelled like airplane interior (which I like.gives me a sensation of holidays) with lot of legroom even in coach class.

There are seats facing forward as well as facing each other (for a party of 4). I took the afternoon train to TO and was not crowded. It has free wifi for the passengers. See

They do bring snack and coffee cart for you to buy (only cards no cash). Coffee was hot but Ok taste.

The washroom was clean.

I travelled in Oct and the leaves were half way through changing colors. I had a window seat and the scenery outside was beautiful. For a long time it was waterfront and then foliage.

I enjoyed the trip and did not have to worry about the traffic coming into TO via 401.

I would definitely take another trip.
