I've issues w their lack of information. Not all dogs are available to visit with unless they approve your application. I perfectly understand and agree w why, HOWEVER, stating on the website, who can be visited would likely save many ppl a lot of time. I completely understand they don't want the animals stressed. They're in a difficult situation to being with. I'm conflicted about filling an app before I MIGHT be able to meet the dog.

I phoned to try and get help in rescuing a young Mum and her kittens. Because the little family was on my neighbor's property and the neighbor was refusing to be cooperative but was threatening instead, I felt rather anxious for them.
The woman that I spoke with was truly a gem. (Thank you!) Kind and compassionate and encouraging as well as knowledgable, she set my mind and heart at ease. She listened and cared and understood. She told me that because the little Mama trusts me, that she would eventually move her kittens closer to the food source and me.
We were so delighted when this happened! The Mama and babies are now safe and well fed and living in our house. We are glad that we were chosen and trusted. Such a gift!

This is the BEST place to go to neuter or spay your animal. This is what they do all day so their success rate is 100%. They are professional and friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again.

All the shelters were full in Chatham. The Humane Society was able to schedule both female cats in for spay & tipping within the mos. Extremely reasonable at $50 each.

Staff is always friendly and helpful, I found a kitten in the parking lot of Devonshire mall so I took it to the Windsor / Essex humane society and they took her in and cared for her with no issues and I was even able to call in a week later for an update on the kitten and I'm happy to say she is in good health and will be ready for adoption this upcoming September.

This poor baby woodpecker was found in my neighbours yard all wrapped up in what looked to be black garden mesh. That had his foot and wing all stuck together. We the neighbours tried to clip off as much as we could until we freed his leg while the humane society was on the phone with me. He came within a half hour. Great service. And happy he’s going to get the help he deserves.

Nice staff, hassle-free, and receptive. I went there to get some stray cats spayed and neutered.

Horrible place to go to. Very rude staff. I was literally waiting for 2 hours to be seen to get my dog fixed as they forgot I was there, didn't even pay attention. When I brought it up to them, the staff were giving me attitude, then the manager came out and told me off. I was not happy so I left.

Everyone who works here genuinely seems to care about animals. I had a smooth and enjoyable experience adopting 2 pets from this location.

Took an abandoned baby raccoon found in my backyard to WECHS for rehab. They were quick and efficient and took care of the little guy so he was not in harms way.

The kindness shown both to Freddy and ourselves before and after neuter surgery was exemplary. Thankyou so much!

Everyone there was an absolute joy to work with. You can really tell that they love the animals and genuinely want to find them the proper homes. And finding out almost a week before expected that my little one eyed kitten was ready to come home to me really speaks volumes to the amount of effort and care they're willing to put in. Would absolutely recommend working with them

I had my female dog spayed at the clinic this past week. Daniella went over and above to help ease my worry and I appreciate the kindness and compassion she showed.
My girl is now 24 hours past surgery and nicely getting back to herself and feeling better!

We adopted our cat from there. And she is such a joy to have around! She was already around 10 years old, but you would never know. Healthy and happy! They do such an excellent work identifying the personality of the individual animal

Absolutely worth the time and drive to have your fur baby fixed.
I desperately tried to go through kellys cat cab, her advice was horrible. This cat we wanted fixed was so he could not contribute to the overpopulation of unwanted cats in RIDGETOWN, he is a stray, patience and love he was coming around. Kelly from Kelly's Cat Cab was so forceful with him going in a live trap, to be fixed then his ear would be tipped to verify he is fixed. Omg just sounded horrifying, no matter what I tried she just kept pushing that this stray was going in a live trap!
My husband and I became frustrated and decided to make other arrangements to get him to Windsor humane society and we did.
This stray was fixed with no cutting of the tip of his ear, they gave me great advice and was absolutely great with this scared cat. Thank you to the staff at Windsor humane society, thank you for being patient with a scared stray for helping him not contribute to unwanted kittens. Would highly recommend the service to spay and neuter, especially the price, saved hundreds of dollars.

I personally adopted a kitty from them everything was super fast and in a timely manner. I love my kitty he is perfect just 2 months old. The paper work was easy super satisfied with the stuff too they were really helpful and polite:)

I have a 9month old lab retriever x that got spayed on May 9 /2023 and her recovery was a success. I would like to say thank you. And it’s a very good idea with prices of being spayed at the Windsor spay neuter clinic are very helpful since we couldn’t afford to bring our pup to our vet due to expenses. I live 45 minutes away from Windsor and it was a great experience for Kodah and me. I will definitely recommend this place. I will be back in the future.
