WINMAR Ottawa

My husband and I were dealing with an estate located in Ottawa, but 6 hours from our home. Loveridge and the staff were out to clean up the water on the parquet flooring and install drying equipment in less than an hour. We found the staff, and Loveridge to be very helpful. Job done and done well.

Our entire project was effectively managed by Winmar from emergency response to completion. The contractors were all great to work with and we are happy with the final result. Kudos to Troy for juggling the many moving parts so well and keeping us up to speed along the way!

We did have a pluming issue in our basement, as a result Co-Operator, offered WinMar to handle the cleaning and repair of the entire basement. The job was done with high level of professionalism and with excellent quality. Tim Kosch was the project manager and he did an excellent job

Botched our insurance assessment and has been a nightmare to rectify. Misdiagnosed the problem, left wet drywall in the ceiling, and their estimate was 4 times less than any other contractors we were in touch with to do the repairs.

We had a water damage issue on the second floor, which resulted in damage to the first floor ceiling. Winmar were selected as a result of being the insurance preferred provider ~ we have no regrets with that choice. (We had another company assess the damage, and they wanted more extensive demolition, and consequently more extensive repair work). Winmar’s demo crew were very considerate and took care with our house. They even pointed out a disconnected vent on opening up the ceiling which we were able to rectify with the builder. The plumbing crew both times came promptly and did what they needed to do. The flooring that was done was top notch, as well as the repair work to our ceiling. The project coordination was very reasonable ~ I felt that they were responsive and accommodating to my needs. We are very happy with having gone with winmar.

Winmar has been wasting my time for weeks after being called in to look at a water leak. The staff seemed like they were casing my apartment, going into un-needed areas without asking. They failed to respond adequately to damage made to my personal effects during their visit. After complaining with management Friday, they arrive early Monday morning - expecting me to be out of the unit and enter via landlord access. Totally unprofessional, I don't feel safe not being here to supervise.

Winmar responded to a sewer backup in my condo. The cleanup crew and demo crew were fantastic. However, the repairs were to be completed in 2 weeks and it took 2 months to get everything done (they started on April 23,2018 and finished on June 25,2018,) although they weren't on the premises every day during this time period, they had to wait for some of the tile guys. I fixed the vaniety doors myself and straightened the bi-fold doors (which still do not work properly). They didn't cut the doors straight. They installed a vaniety with a cracked gable that had to be repaired. They had paint from the walls on the ceiling, and left the paint on the ceiling, they didn't paint the full walls, they didn't use drop cloths for painting and there was paint on brand new floors. They broke a ceramic tile while installing baseboard, which took them 3 tries to get it correct. My deficiency list after they were supposedly finished was 2.5 pages long. The project manager never communicated with me for the first 2 weeks and I was living in a hotel so wasn't checking daily on the crew, I trusted them they would do the work as stated, however, I was very mistaken, they obviously need to be checked on. The project manager had all kinds of excuses as to why the work wasn't done, including he didn't have a car for 2 days and wasn't on the site, and they were busy with other work.
