PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS CLINIC.
I was a patient of Doctor Al Noor Muradalli Keshavjee and he was careless and gave the wrong medical advice for my 3 month old, was highly unprofessional and did not provide patient-centered care at all. I booked an appointment as I was concerned my baby was not gaining enough weight. At the appointment he did NOT assess my baby (i.e. Did NOT check if he is developmentally healthy otherwise, meeting his milestones, did not measure his height/head circumference etc). He simply ASSUMED that my baby needed to gain more weight and gave me the medical advice to actively wake my baby up several times during the night to feed him. My gut told me that this did not sound right as i knew sleep was also very important for a baby's development and it didn't make sense that my baby who was sleeping mostly throughout the night would need to go back to a newborn schedule of feeding several times during the night. I asked if i could be referred to a pediatrician and he literally said these words to me "why don't you trust my advice, i've seen many babies and have 20+ years of experience. The pediatrician will tell you the same thing. If you don't trust me, then i can't be your doctor; you have 90 days to find a new doctor". I was shocked and speechless to say the least - never have I ever received this type of response for simply asking for a referral! Instead of explaining to me why I didn't need to see a pediatrician or trying to understand why I wanted another opinion, he became defensive and even said he felt insulted. The office manager who found out about this told me "We are lucky to even hire this doctor with so much experience". That is very sad to me - that the best doctor you can hire is someone who does not provide proper care, will become offended if you want a second opinion and will refuse to be your doctor if you simply want a second opinion (in this case, i was being extra careful as we are talking about my baby who was still so young after all)! I would NOT trust a clinic who has management that believes they are "lucky" to have a doctor who behaves like this. Needless to say, me and my baby are no longer patients of this clinic. I sought another doctor's advice (a much more experienced doctor who delivers babies) who did conduct a proper assessment of my baby and I learned that my baby was actually not underweight at all and is healthy. I do not want to know what would've happened if I listened to his advice and started waking my baby up several times throughout the night to feed. I would not wish this experience on anyone else/wish for anyone to have a doctor this unprofessional and careless!

Love my family doctor. Love my pharmacist. Can’t believe I was so lucky in finding a place where I can trust my care to friendly professionals.

The frizzy head receptionist is the laziest person I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Literally does nothing, nothing is “her job”. Has an attitude whenever you talk to her making it vaguely obvious she doesn’t want to talk to you. Make you not want to talk to your doctor about your health concerns because you know you’ll have to deal with her. Completely outrageous.

I was a former patient of Dr Chen when he was in Toronto, and happy to have followed him here. He's always been attentive to my medical needs, and truly cares enough about his patients. I will happily remain his patient.
