Wok & Roast Chinese BBQ Restaurant

Food was very tasty, fast, and super cheap. Also there was a nice complementary soup and fruit pre and after meal.

Would definitely go again!

I do not recommend this restaurant! And if you buy roast pig here - make sure you open the containers before you leave the restaurant and check to see if you got what you chose because these people here are cheaters.
Apparently people in the neighborhood knows about this and avoid this place. I now know and will never come back again. I rather go next door to the other BBQ house who are much more honest people.
This is the 3rd time I buy roast pork at this restaurant and they cheated me by secretly trading the meat I chose from the pig for extra pieces of “fat” that they had saved on the side.
They have a piece of white plywood covering the cutting board so I (being 5’2”) couldn’t see what they secretly put under the takeout containers while they chop the roast pork.
For example, today I chose a piece on the roast pig that had ribs and no fat but when I took the two takeout containers home, more than half of both containers had more than half with just pieces of fat (the pieces looked they they were taken near the shoulder/butt) and very few rib bones.
Today, I paid more than $50 for the meat and they did that! Very disappointing as I grew up in the neighborhood and used to come here all the time.
I was thinking of taking the containers back to show them but decided not to as they will mostly denied what they did.

Go-to take out place! Delicious food, fast service, amazing portion sizes for the price! 100% recommend the BBQ pork - it doesn't get any fresher than this!

Absolute garbage restaurant that is full of scammers. Do not order or fall for their “buy one get one free” deals on UberEats. They double the price of their items and then tell you it’s “BOGO” - shameless and dishonest owners trying to trick their own customers into thinking they are saving money.

Man I don't know how many good thngs to say about this place. Beats heading downtown or out to Markham. Food is so good and always on point. Love the food and love the staff. Be here forever is what I say.

Used to be called Ka Ka been coming here for at least 20 years.

BBQ is awesome, prepped at the front of the restaurant.bbq pork & rice lunch is my favorite. My guys like the 3 choice’s with rice lunch. My dad loved the duck leg with noodles.

Ordered red sausages on delivery app.
Sausages were spoiled. Had to go straight into the bin.

Other items were fine and actually tasted good. Seems to me this is not an accident nor unusual practice based on some other reviews. Please make sure not to give your customers spoiled food even though they're doing takeaway or delivery! Don't poison your customers.

I ordered Uber from this place and it's horrible. The rice wasn't even fried through and I got clumps of sticked together cold white rice in my egg fried rice. Further, the wonton soup was salty and stale. The ingredients tasted like 1000 years old. I'm never going to order from them forever.

It’s my son’s favourite bbq pork place. I usually get the 1 item regular or large.
I find it worth it than just buying a piece and taking it home.
12.50 for the large 9.50 for the regular size.
Fatty is juicer for sure. They glaze it well so it’s nicely sweetened.

My only gripe is they give broccoli, come on, you’re a Chinese place, at least you could give Chinese broccoli or some other Chinese veggie.

I read someone complain about the roasted duck and not getting pancakes. FYI that’s Peking style duck, this is Cantonese roasted duck. 2 different dishes, cooked differently and served differently.

Bad service and foods is not so great. I will NEVER come here again! Only reason they are still making the $$ because they are only one open in east China town. And they are the second generation.

Had lobster, duck, green beans, bbq pork, stir fry noodle and way too greasy. Know oil is needed to cook but either drain before serving or improve cooking technique with less oil. Couldn’t get past all the oil to say food at least tasted ok.

The portions were small unfortunately. Usually roast duck comes with crepes, green onions and cucumber from other restaurants, not at this one, but it was just the dry duck.
The flavours we good, just a pity about the portion sizes, normal size containers and only half full. Will go elsewhere in the future.

Big portions. I get a 3 meat combo 17.5$ after tax. The roasted pork and bbq pork is good but the pork intestine is a bit cold but the taste is the same. It will be perfect if they didn’t increase the price twice in recent 7 months: (

Generally good food. Ironically their BBQ labeled items are the least tasty. Try the roasted/steamed items instead. Fried rice is okay too but very low on protein

Ordered sweet and sour pork with rice and broccoli. Sooooo good and fresh! I would recommend it.

. Be aware: TIP IS INCLUDED (12%) as "S. Service" and is found at the bottom of the bill, just below the total that includes the HST. I am not aware if this is the case for walk through and for take away.

Was in the area. I was walking by and found some duck hanging in the window. Ordered half a duck. It was super tasty and cooked perfectly. The only item I had the pleasure of trying so far. But I will return.

There isn’t a lot of good Chinese restaurants in East Chinatown. This bbq place isn’t go to for Chinese bbq.

from the window that’s how you know it’s authentic!
The restaurant is small with only a few smaller tables.

I ordered take out it as super fast!

Food:
I ordered one meal with one bbq item (roasted duck) for only $9 and 2 bbq items (bbq pork and roasted pork) for the second meal for $11 in small size. Price is very good. The meal also comes with broccoli.
I also ordered the hot and sour soup which was so tasty with strips of bbq pork, bamboo shoots, small shrimps and fungus with tofu. So tasty and spicy. First time having this soup here and it was delicious!
The bbq meats was fresh and flavourful.

All the sweet and sour sauce was way too sweet and no sourness at all. It was like a candy. We couldn’t eat even half.

I ordered a few dishes and none disappointed. I had Singapore style fried vermicelli or curry noodles as I call them, Chinese mushrooms with broccoli, roast pork, spicy fried shrimp from front display. All yummy and reasonably priced.

The food was so old, we order it home and it was disgusting the BBq meat was nothing compare to what they specify in the menu this was horrible and the food was not tasty at all I do not recommend eating in this awful place

Old shool char siu. Forget the menu, look at the signs. Crispy pig feet, best thing ever. Duck feet and wings, omg, five spice duck? The bbq is stellar and fast. Total gem, cannot recommend enough.

Good quantity. I liked the beef, but wasn't a big fan of the noodles. Customer service was okay.

To put it nicely my dog had a better dinner than I did tonight.

Excellent BBQ with that old school HK diner feel that you just don't get south of Steeles anymore. Come for the Cha Siu, stay for the braised beef tendon.

Tasty, fast, and affordable. What's not to love?
