Wonder Pens

Went in looking for ink for a pen with my daughter. We had driven almost an hour through traffic to come specifically here and won't ever come back. Daughter had a bathroom emergency and couldn't even move without peeing herself. I understand washrooms aren't for public use but could've easily made an exception!

They said to go to a coffee shop nearby but when I asked if they go there, guy at the register said no and she couldn't use the one in the store.

Had to carry her to the Italian restaurant at the corner who had no problem with us using their facilities. She still had a partial accident in the process of us getting there.

No compassion or empathy. Don't bother shopping here.

Wonder Pens missed shipping an item in my latest online order with them. They then ignored all my emails asking if they could ship the item I paid for. So, they were happy to take my money but wouldn’t respond when they made a mistake with my order.

To add insult to injury, they added me to their distribution list for emails, so I continued to get marketing emails from them while they ignored my emails.

I’ll never order from them again. Especially not when there are several Canadian pen and ink companies who have much better service and actually ship you the items you pay for.

Stationary shopping is my happy place. But Wonder Pens marred that experience today. The tall sales lady showed me one pen at my request, then before I had the chance to ask questions, another very extroverted couple butted in, started chatting with the sales lady. They didn't even need help with anything. They just casually chatted for 15 minutes while I literally patiently stood at the counter looking at the salesperson. When they finally left, she turned back to me. So she fully knew that she kept me waiting. Clearly, she liked the other customers better than me to interrupt service with me even though I was there first. I don't know whether it had to do with ethnicity, or the fact that I was on my own, or that I was a soft-spoken introvert. Regardless of the reason was, her very unprofessional behavior and unfair treatment of customers made me feel devalued as a customer. I did not need to please her to receive fair service. She was paid to help all customers equally.

I love this place! I don't remember the name of the guy that was working there when I was there, but he was super friendly and helpful! I loved getting my traveler's co stamp too:)

Wonder Pens is my go to stationary store in Toronto. The selection is brilliant, but more than that, their staff are the real reason for their review. Everyone I have dealt with there has been beyond exceptional! From their customer service to in-depth knowledge I have never left the store without a smile! Pen to paper, they’ve got you!

The Staff are soo nice. They've were very nice to talk to, very approachable and they will approach you to ask if they think you need help with something. Definitely buy your stuff here

I am very happy a place like this exists. I find nowadays writing is happening more on the computer then on paper. And I have penpals so it is great to have a place that has Washi Tape and just everything you can have to create a nice penpal letter.
And even if you don't have a penpal they still have so much here that can interest someone. Such as, Calligraphy Pens and Ink, Wax Seals, Sketchpads, many types of pens (Gel Pens, Dip Pens, Sign Pens). And they even have empty ink bottles in case you need some! Which I thought was neat.

Quick delivery, along with amazing service. I am buying all the way from BC, and I added a note asking if they could wrap it nicely since it was a gift - and I said it was fine if they couldn't. They went above and beyond, and wrapped it very nicely with multiple layers, including washi tape. Very nice touch. They are a solid place to buy from both price and service! I recommend!

I came in looking to purchase a particular fountain pen (at a small-business premium price no less) and left vowing to never spend another dollar at Wonder Pens. Supporting local shouldn't come at the cost of having to deal with rude staff.

If youre addicted to notebooks, pens, and/or washi tape, expect to spend a lot of money. Wide variety of notebook paper types and line types. I got a $15 mystery pen pack (6 pens, different kinds) ; some are nice but a couple are literally your bulk office pen, which is kind of sad.

Lovely locally-owned small business with huge and comprehensive selection. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is delightful. I love that they occasionally run letter-writing workshops. The staff will help you make decisions if you have any uncertainties. Will go back for my future stationery needs. There are options at every price point.

Gotta love this store! Super location in Little Italy, it's an unpretentious building but light and airy inside and packed with kind of pens, ink and stationery that makes pen junkies drool. The service is friendly and informed, with customer satisfaction evidently a high priority. It gets really busy at peak shopping times, so try to get there before the rush.

My first time ordering from here, but it won’t be the last. The customer service was fantastic - I had my purchase in under three days of ordering online. The packaging was fantastic, so no worries about getting a damaged mess if the package was mishandled.
Prices were reasonable and the selection was outstanding.

I have now recieved three online orders from Wonder Pens, and I cannot recommend them enough. Every package has arrived within 3 business days of ordering. The packaging is always neat, and everything is secured and padded perfectly, and marked outside as handle with care. Their prices are competitive with other online Canadian retailers, and their selection is fantastic and frequently updated. Each order has arrived with a lovely handwritten note of thanks, which is just the cherry on top.

Wonderpens is my favorite store for anything fountain pen related. Their stock is diverse, and their staff is very knowledgeable and eager to share their knowledge about fountain pens. They have a great selection of ink samples, so you can try many colors without committing to a full bottle. Everything I’ve bought at Wonderpens fuels my creativity ambitions. Now, I’m can keep up with my journals (probably too many) without feeling that I’m not artistic enough.
And their weekly newsletter is one of the best reads for its relatability and the cat updates.

I have shopped at every location of this store over the past several years, starting with my first brick and mortar fountain ️ pen purchase at their Dundas west location. Their selection is great, the product on offer covered the range for pens, pencils, notebooks and paper, inks. Anything you'd need as a hobbyist or just summertime who wants a functional writing tool or something else. The store was humming the day I went to pick up my order and the staff was pleasant and helpful.

A focused pen, ink and paper shop with more ink than you'll ever use in a lifetime. While they don't have every pen and paper, what they do have is well stocked, well known, and top notch. I'll be back, for sure.

Amazing customer service. I had questions while getting into fountain pens and ended up having quite a few emails back and forth with Brendan, with very informative and quick replies to my queries. I've ordered a number of things from them now and orders are alway sent out within a business day, and the packaging is very secure. One of the best experiences I've had with a small business.

Really slow customer service, overpriced and the Lamy refills I bought were dry. I couldn’t be bothered to go back and wait another 30min to do an exchange.

Got into fountain pens recently, and kind, knowledgeable staff here have been a great help. Also just a great place to browse and discover new pens/ink/stationery you'd never see in another stationery store. Feels like they have just the good stuff, not mountains of filler that some other stores do.

Went there around Christmas 2019.amazing atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. The store is quite small but there are many more items that you can ask the staff for in the back. Was able to try a variety of pens and inks. Overall great experience. Will definitely visit again

I have never been to the actual store since I live all the way across the country. The mail order service and website are completely fantastic though. They have a fabulous selection and mail things out promptly, with the inks carefully wrapped to prevent spills. Every order includes a hand written note and a charming picture of their shop and cat. My favourite shop I've never been to.

They are so "wonder"ful. Jon did help to purchase a right color of inck and teh service, care are impeccable. It is indeed an experience to purchase from them.

I love this store, if you're interested in fine writing on a budget or even if you have the desire to get the best writing instruments money can buy they have it all. I keep a journal and like to write letters and send them by snail mail because everyone loves to get a hand written letter in the mail especially when it comes on the best stationary money can buy which you can get here. I also like to write with a variety of inks and pens so I visit here quite often. Be aware that you may feel they urge to buy everything in the store so go in with a plan. They have a fantastic website and many of the items are tested and blogged about by the owners of this Toronto treasure. Do your research and check your budget. You can order in advance and your little bundle will be waiting for you when you get there. The staff here are awesome and super helpful as well.

I live in Vancouver. I wanted to send my brother in Midland some pen stuff for Christmas. I called and spoke to Brendan. He was patient, enthusiastic and super friendly. SO helpful! He helped me pick the items to send and THEN he arranged to have it all sent by mail to my brother. TOP NOTCH service. Thank-you Brendan!

Such a lovely pen & stationery shop. Wide range of fountain pens, and they're just as helpful if you're buying a $25 pen or a $400 one. They sell samples of their inks for $2-4.

I have ordered from Wonderpens a number of times, but actually visited the store a few weeks ago for the first time! What an incredible experience. They have always been wonderful online. In person, I received the same type of care as they spent lots of time with me to help answer all of my questions about my purchase and provide me some wonderful tips to make my experience with the pen and ink even better! With such great service and a Toronto store front I'd expect it to be more expensive, but the prices are really competitive with online stores. I'd be willing to pay a little extra just for the wonderful service but luckily you don't even need to do that. Highly recommend it!

I have shopped at wonderpens online a few times in the past. And it's always a pain free experience. While travelling in Toronto, I knew I had to stop at the brick and mortar store. It is EXACTLY as it appears on their IG page. Brendan was very helpful in lightening my wallet. If ever I'm back in Toronto, I'd stop in again.

Have always loved purchasing from them, though for a time it was difficult as they were moving and inventory wasn't exactly convenient for me. However, since they've added in LiveChat, it's been super efficient in getting answers/making suggestions. Love their customer service, highly recommend. Too bad we don't have one here in Vancouver, otherwise, I'd be making physical visits fairly often. Will have to make do with ordering online for now.

I ordered a pen and ink then remembered I needed a converter. Brandon was SO helpful and made sure my orders got combined. He also answered another question about nibs. Brandon was efficient, helpful and quick to respond. Usually businesses tell you you will get an answer to your question in 48 hours but he responded within hours. I will deficiently buy from them again! Shipping to BC was very reasonable too and the items were in the mail very quickly. Great service!

I went there twice, once for buying a pen, and the second time for stationary. They have nice products, but they treat you with an awful dismissive attitude that makes you feel like you're bothering them. Never again.
