Excellent crew for a wedding the other night, I thought the food was excellent and the bar service was right on the ball with refills

We had our wedding at woodbine hall earlier this year on July 15 and it was one of the most terrible experiences of my life. The banquet hall did not communicate the full details of the contract to us and on the day of the wedding, they informed us that the sound system were an additional charge that we had to pay for. I called the banquet hall, myself, one month before the wedding and they confirmed the package was “all-inclusive” and we didn’t need to worry about anything else. Then, on the day of the wedding, staff were coming up to me on stage to ask for money for the sound system.

Secondly, the menu was not what we previously confirmed. They gave us white rice, rather than the brown rice we asked for. They also did not inform us that we had to bring our own Tupperware to take the food home. Hence, there was a plethora of food left at the end of the night that we couldn’t take home.

Lastly, the entire night, the hall behind us was blasting loud music that we could hear all the way at our event. The speeches weren’t audible because of this and the MC was struggling throughout the night to be heard. When we complained to the hall, they refused to do anything, leading to our entire event being ruined.

I realize it was peak wedding season, but all these mistakes added up and sabotaged our event.

We hosted a wedding ceremony on Nov 21, and I can say that it was truly amazing. The interiors of south hall are elegant, the decor was brilliant and service was just exceptional. Their General Manager Mr. Jeet Ahuja went above and beyond to make sure that everything was delivered as committed. The staff under his supervision was very polite and hospitable (specially Marzuk & Gagan). All our guests were really happy with the taste of snacks and food (it was super good). Jeet makes sure that his clients leave the place happy. To be honest, had it not been the initial meeting with Jeet, we might have gone to explore other places as well. But he made sure that he got our requirements in detail and delivered exactly what we wanted. Will definitively recommend this place for future events. If your going their for an event try not to eat because There might be a chance what your eating might not be fresh.

I had talked to the sales rep Marzuk, and let me tell you, he was amazing! I want to thank Marzuk and Woodbine Banquet Hall for everything you did for my family and I for the walima/reception! All the efforts paid off and everyone loved the event. The food was amazing and the setup was great and well done! Thank you for hosting us and you can definitely see my family coming back to Woodbine Banquet for future events. Excellent Service!

The decor was good, and everything looked clean.
However parking was an issue and the dinner serving area was severely cramped.
Went there on September 10 for a wedding.

Great place for an event. Conveniently located right beside Hwy 27. Accommodating staff. Good food.

Very disappointed with this hall. The glasses were dirty with food stains and the table cloths were dirty.

We had a pre-wedding party here for our son and his fiancé. Everyone had a very enjoyable time! The food was wonderful and very plentiful. We had a varied guest list and Marzuk was very helpful with our requests for different allergies and spice levels. The venue is beautiful and very clean. They are very easy to work with and were always receptive to phone calls and emails. We would highly recommend!

It's a nice banquet hall. There are usually not enough servers / staff for each event but it's a nice place, well maintained. Good for memorable events

Garaag and Gurdeep have been so accommodating with my Fiancé and I throughout the planning process. Excellent customer service! We are having our wedding reception here on October 8th and are very excited to host with Woodbine Banquet Hall!:)

Went here for a wedding and the service was amazing. The staff was really kind and sweet. The food was really good and they had a variety of options for vegetarians!

Lady at the reception in the morning is very unwelcoming, on top of it she is not open to listen to anything except NO to everything.
She refused to listen or accomodate and pretended to be on the phone

Even just now i called fiftth times. They answer the phone and hang up no coutesy at this hotel for anything except the one guy in the reception he was willing to hear eventhough, he couldnt help
But the lady Reception is good for nothing

I visited the place last week at my cousin’s reception. The food was very tasty and I met the chef there, his name was Punit. He was literally a nice guy. I recommended my friends to visit there because of him

Got food poisoning after attending an event here. Spent the night throwing up, took me a full 48 hours to recover. Thanks for the spoiled food and horrible food poisoning. Based on all the negative food experiences here, someone should report them to inspections!

Attended a wedding at this location this past weekend. Terrible tasting food. My whole family including me felt sick the next morning.

The food was totally bomb. Specially the appetizers were awesome. We had an event in hall C, the decor looked amazing, the hall was pretty big for 400 people. Their service is excellent and the staffs are very friendly. Highly recommend.

Have only visited for Eid prayers but it's beautiful from inside and is quite spacious where you can also put dividers to make space large or small for any kind of function.

The wedding party made the best of the terrible situation that they had to go through with the power outage that occured during the thunderstorm on May 21,2022. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about this banquet hall that did absolutely nothing and had no emergency arrangements in place.

Of course the thunderstorm and power outage is not something they have control of, but there are definitely things that could have been done and handled better. I had increasing safety concerns as it got later into the night. There weren't even any emergency lighting that you'd expect at least the exits. The bathrooms were a nightmare as there was little visibility and the floors were getting wet. My grandmother nearly slipped and fell.

Dinner kept getting delayed as management advised the the power would come back on soon. The power did not come on. They finally had the food ready around 11pm. However, some of the food was cold or undercooked. There seemed to not be enough servers and they were not very coordinated. Some of the brides family was forced to serve food to the guests.

Overall it was still a memorable night because of the bride and groom's positivity and their wedding party's efforts of bringing in their own generators and supplying enough lighting for the guests to still enjoy the program and dancing. As for this banquet hall, I would not recommend them. They provided no assistance during the event, had no emergency arrangements for situations like this and did absolutely nothing to make this situation right even after the fact.

For the owner to respond to other reviews saying that it was the clients decision to put their guests in danger is absurd. They were paying clients at your venue that you've failed to keep safe and provide ANY type of service.

It's was very very bad experience food its was day old no taste reception appetizer they serve only hardly 3 or 4 tables my appetizer time 45 min they 20 min my special guest came 8 o'clock they didn't get it
When I booked hall and ask the manager plz make sure about the food they oh don't worry I will be there on that day but plz don't trust the management they want just money bottom line is its was worst experience

The whole team did a excellent job hosting my wedding and reception. Marzuk made sure everything was just the way we wanted and really took great care of us. Thank you for everything woodbine banquet hall!

Had to change the pillow case which had human hair before I even touched them.

Bathroom shower needs repair.

Went to book an event. Waited patiently while manager was with another customer. Then when it was my turn. He pointed to go up to his office.phone rang.he still never once used a word to ensure he was going to deal with me.after once again patiently waiting. I slowly got up to leave.and left with no response or acknowledgement I was even there.

Great for business and family events. I love it so much I have booked my wedding there and there is a hotel literally built into the building that is must see. Your party guests can get discounted for rooms for example like a wedding or reception and in my case complimentary wedding suite.

The best service we've received, we booked with Uncle Raj for the first time for my brother's wedding, it was the best decision we made, he gave us a great deal and aside from that it was our first time and he treated us like family and gave us assurance that everything would be great and it turned out to be better than anything! He was very understanding and listened to every little detail and helped us with our budget, on the day of the wedding the food was outstanding and everything that was promised was done and even better. I would totally recommend this Banquet hall to anyone looking to do any program, I can surely say it is the best in GTA!

Raj, has been such a fun person to work with. This is important when your planning the most important event in your life (wedding). Would highly recommend this hall. Flexible to get our dream event come to true.

Great place for your events at Northwest of Toronto. Best place for Any big Parties or Events, Weddings, Wedding Reception, Political party meeting, Annual Cooperation meetings & Christmas party. Big space & Good parking area. Sounds system and other facilities are okay.

Do NOT BOOK at this hall, especially for your wedding, unless you want your entire experience to be tainted by unprofessional service provided by the lying manager, Raj.

During our wedding speeches, the sound from the halls next door was so loud that our entire wedding experience was tainted for both our guests and ourselves.my dad was crying on stage while bhangra was blasting from the room next door to the point where the speech couldn’t be heard.

My husband had to get up from the stage to go speak to the manager in charge because he was being rude to our wedding coordinator and disregarding

We spoke to them after the event and Raj made excuses after excuses for weeks, promising to speak to the owner. He strung us along for four months, with no response. Completely unprofessional service.

This hall does not care about your experience. They simply want your money. Don’t risk your once in a lifetime event. You’ll find better halls at the same price-point.

Everything was nice, its just the sheets had a few black marks on it. It was my first time going to this hotel my first impression for a queen room I got; the room was extremely small and tight everything close together.

Nice big hall. Unfortunately, my vegetarian meal was half the portion I'm accustomed to eating at home. On our way home my husband was hungry and so was I. Food was good otherwise.

Our church had an event in Hall A. The experience with booking was great. Raj was very accommodating and professional. The menu choices included a number of different cultural delicacies. All the staff who waited on us were pleasant and friendly.

Not having a coat check turned out to be problematic as we had only two racks and quickly ran out of hangers and space.

Raj is an amazing person had a wonderful experience.food is amazing just Goat Karahi needs improvement.

Attended my company Christmas party here. Always a pleasant atmosphere and great staff. Well managed banquet hall and great service.

This facility is amazing I had 4 events back to back from November 22 and 23.
Raj the manager is so helpful even at last minute he is happily accommodate our requests. Food is amazing even we have no onion and no garlic food. We get the chance to see cheff Umesh he is great.

This is a great venue to host any celebration. It's located by Woodbine casino, woodbine mall and the Etobicoke hospital.

The service is great and there's plenty of parking. Management is helpful and can answer any question you have regarding selection and options. We hosted our holiday party and it was a huge success.

The banquet hall is very nice. A little creepy that some of the hotel room windows face an interior courtyard where visitors eat breakfast though. Don't open your curtains expecting a view or at least not the one you expected. Clean & well appointed rooms but very dim. Not a bright room anywhere.

Just had our daughter's engagement party at this beautiful hall.it is gorgeous! Raj was very easy to work with. He provided names for in house decorations and audio visual. The decorations were exactly what we wanted and were amazing! The food was delicious. The servers were ok. A little curt at times and didn't smile at all. The bartenders on the other hand were absolutely wonderful. Very competent and friendly! I would recommend this hall whole heartedly! The only major issue is the hotel attached to the hall. I will write a separate review for that. However, don't hesitate if you are considering this hall for an event.it met all of our expectations!

Its a lot better place for events than other places in the area. I would recommend them if they suit you.

It’s a nice banquet hall, some recommendations I would suggest train the bar tenders and when the party is booking confirm the amount of guest before hand so everyone has a seat.

We are a non profit student club at York university, that hosted our GALA event at woodbine banquet hall. The manager Raj, was extremely kind and amazing to us, and helped us a lot as well as listened to our requirements. The service was amazing and the food was wonderful. Our guests loved the venue and enjoyed having many cute places to take pictures as well as loved the food. The parking is great since the area has many parking spaces. The staff were also extremely kind and helpful. An overall amazing experience! Would definitely recommend this hall to anyone.

Woodbine banquet hall is a beautiful venue with amazing food and great service. We had a wonderful experience hosting my brother's joint Mehendi with 400 guests at this banquet hall. The Manager, Raj was incredibly accommodating with planning the logistics. He went above and beyond to meet our wishes. The hall was set up beautifully to our liking and service was excellent. We were especially impressed by the quality and quantity of food served at our event. Our guests loved the food and raved about the wonderful service provided by the staff during dinner.

This is our second time hosting a big event at this banquet hall and we have been highly satisfied both times. We highly recommend this venue to everyone!

The hall itself is beautiful, the workers are nice, and the manager is the most accommodating person to work with! He's very understanding and cooperative to ensure you have a great event.
We had a great event, our guests had the best time, there was enough space to dance and move around. Overall, great experience here!

We held our university alumni reunion event at their beautiful banquet hall over the past four years. Raj, the manager, was very accommodating and he confirmed logistics and details well ahead of time. The venue was elegantly decorated and the Asian/European food was delicious! They provided more than enough appetizers for our near 200 guests. The venue has lots of parking spaces available.

Our guests enjoyed their night thanks to the helpful staff and Raj. We highly recommend holding your next event here!

This place as bad as you can think.incomplete projects to parking, and to bath every thing is wrong but your choices may be limited this could get an easy stuck, entrenc door is waiting for a fix. As long as there no second option, this place would be bad choice.needs new manager who could look the issuees more then issues look to him.
Plates and glass are not properly cleaned.and many more to write but dont wanna waste time more then this. There booking same time and not proper control on sound system. Big mess with audio and sound mix out of there function.

This hall is so beautiful and the service was just amazing. The management was super accommodating, cooperative, nice for timing, food, and even the set up. Our guests loved the food, and admired how beautiful and put together the hall was. Another plus for this hall is that parking isn't an issues, lots of space. I recommend this banquet hall to everyone, and anyone as the hall has everything and more for those who want to hold an event.
