Brought my pup Blue for his first shots. Staff was awesome. Girl at front desk was the nicest I have ever met. Dr. Padwel was gentle, informative and very helpful. They gave Blue a clean bill of health and also provided paperwork for our pet insurance company. I Will be changing Vets for his parents after this wonderful experience.
They also gave out valentines with treats! Lovely touch. Thank you all!

Dr. Barnes is extremely knowledgeable and takes her time to explain carefully the issues at hand, even when they are hard to accept. Thank you for your compassion and dedication.

Dr. Padwal and his team were excellent. They treated us kindly and patiently.
Dr. Padwal was very patient with our dog Bruno and he took his time with Bruno and asked many questions which I liked. I was very pleased.

Daisy sees Dr. Forbes. And to be honest he’s the best one in the clinic. Very smart and honest doctor. I highly recommend this clinic!
19 November 2023 22:04
Our two dogs have been patients at Woodbridge Animal Hospital for about three years. We drive 40 minutes to come to this Vet because we find the people are very knowledgeable, caring and genuinely compassionate at this establishment. From the front desk, the technicians, to the doctors. Our experience has always been positive.

I had a wonderful visit with Dr. B at Woodbridge Animal Hospital. The new clinic is beautiful and modern. The reception staff and techs are professional and friendly. Dr. B is great and was very thorough with my senior boy. She is very knowledgeable and down to earth. The visit was calm and relaxed. My dog, who can be a bit nervous had bloods taken and came back to me happy, tail wagging and looking for treats. I had a great experience and look forward to continuing my dogs care at this clinic for the rest of his golden years.

I absolutely love this clinic. I was referred to by a friend and have had 4 furbabies taken great care of here for the last few years. Costs are reasonable, I’ve seen different veterinarians, all treat with my babies as if they were their own. They always give updated medical and professional opinions but never push. All of their staff are truly amazing. They know each and everyone of their clients, even though they have a lot. Lastly, love the new facility. Same plaza but bigger and better to serve the community and truly take care of animals, as their primary objective above all else.
23 October 2023 17:37
Dr Forbes and the staff at Woodbridge Animal Hospital are professional, and caring with the my very young standard poodle. I completely trust their medical care with my pet.
02 October 2023 22:33
I had brought my 6 year old American bulldog here for vaccines and nail trimming. I was anticipating Quintin my dog to be very uncooperative especially to touch his paws. The staff were very supportive and friendly with him. They played with him and fed him treats to gain his trust. Even during his trimming to occupy Quintin treats were given for distraction. I would be bringing Quin back when needed.
08 June 2023 20:01
I have been taking my cats to this clinic for 25+ years and have always had great experiences. Even in the worst of situations, the staff is truly caring, going so far as sending condolence cards in the mail. That says a lot about the type of great people they are.

Thanks for the exceptional treatment you give my cats.
30 May 2023 12:25
Dr. Barnes was very thorough, gave great advice, and also alternatives with dealing with an elderly dog.
17 April 2023 23:52
Fantastic Staff! We have three pets under the care of the vet's and vet tech's and all three pets are well taken care of. Our dog Ruby just recently had dental surgery and she is a different dog! Before the surgery she had lots of pain and now is eating again and seems so happy. To all fur parents, ensure you clean your dog/cats teeth because the tartar can build up and can cause major decay. Prevention is the key.

I called to pick up medicine and they said it was ready, I came in to get it and the extremely rude receptionist tells me its on back order and the vet will call me when its ready.

That was not true at all, the medicine was there ready the whole time, she was obviously to lazy to go and check which is ridiculous. So i left and called back the same day 10 minutes later only for her to tell me it was there the whole time. And the manager could not explain to me why the receptionist told me its on back order? I have no idea why the receptionist lied right to my face and i felt extremely targeted. This is the fourth time they have done this to me im not sure if its on purpose because of the way i look but they are acting disgusting for a business and no reason to be so rude to paying customers.

Waste of my day completely driving to pick up medicine for my cat only for them to lie about having it. The staff showed today how truly rude, lazy and incompetent they are
25 December 2022 19:17
Constantly forgetting to give me everything on my order to pick up. I think they do it on purpose to be honest. Extremely petty classic Woodbridge business.
14 December 2022 11:19
A call was made to Woodbridge Vet and they were asked if they could help us, they were advised that she couldn’t wait until the June 4th appointment. We were met with such resistance from the staff, they stated they were too busy to help but they would call back very shortly. Time past by, no callback, we called and again were told they would call us back. Time again past, no callback, and they were called again, this time we were advised they could fit us in but we would have to wait in the parking lot and the wait could be up to 1 hour, while she suffered, what?

My wife fed up with this by now, called North Town Emergency, they were advised of Cokeys situation & without hesitation said bring her and asked how soon could we be there so they could help her, they were told we were on our way. Arriving they were waiting for us and we were led immediately to a private room where Cokey past over the Rainbow Bridge in the arms of her Mommy.

This was a very sad situation made worse by the lack of understanding and compassion. I am saddened to read in some other experiences, in your reviews, this has continued. While there is an understanding of the acuity of Veterinary medicine, a dying animal should not be left to there own devices alongside their owners.

Hoping this gets read by the staff at Woodbridge, and maybe others to reflect perhaps on bettering your Veterinary practice.

Response from the owner 3 weeks later doesn't even address issues:

Hi Jeff, you have our sincere condolences at the loss of Coco and we are sorry to hear that your experience has left you feeling this way. Our doctors can only see so many patients in a day and sometimes there is more demand than we can fulfill. As much as we would like to see every patient that needs us, there are times we can not. In these instances the most important thing is that the pet is cared for even if it means that their needs are met by a colleague from another veterinary hospital. We understand that this is frustrating and apologize for the inconvenience. Warm regards.

Have been coming here for 17 years. Always friendly, always available for concerns. Today's visit was to make certain a lump was just a lypoma. I left feeling much better, as did my 15 yr old dog as he almost ran through the door.
Highly recommend

Great, thoughtful suggestions that always include honest, affordable options and better long term solutions. Thank you!

Best Animal hospital, kind, compassionate, caring.
The place you know your pet is in good hands.
15 April 2022 8:02
Have been our dogs vet for over 15 years.
Always when I leave, I feel like the treatment our dog got was as if he was their dog, care and compassion.
01 March 2022 18:52
They were good at assessing the dog. They try to push different medications on you to increase the price of the visit. They could be of more assistance when it comes to travelling with a dog. There are many documents to be filled out also you have to inquire with the Canadian food and Inspection agency. For they're certificate of approval. The vet can do this for you but they didn't. They are good with the animals.

Absolutely love Woodbridge Animal Hospital!
It feels like family. They treat us so amazingly great.
Thank you Woodbridge Animal Hospital.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE> My poor little boy has passed away after taking him to this vets office. I took him here back in I believe September for a rabies shot and I believe a booster. My dog had an allergic reaction to this vaccines. I told the office.he was suffering for 2 weeks. He wasn't eating, drinking, and lost all interest in his activities. I took him back. We did blood work and got pain medication because he would yelp in pain but there were no obvious physical signs of something that would be hurting him. Blood work was clear, pain medication didn't work. When speaking to the vet about she became extremely rude and hung up the phone on me. My dog was completely healthy prior to these things. Over time he began to get better and then he got worse. He started to not be able to walk. I took him to another vet where he received more pain medication which didn't work. He passed away on new years day. I am devastated. My dog was only 5 and a half years old and he was babied and spolied. He was my best friend, my baby boy and he was loved unconditionally. Please do not take your pet here. They caused this and a formal complaint will be made to the appropriate people. I am empty without my baby boy.

My family and I have been bringing our dogs to see Dr. Schultz for 30 years. He is so amazingly gentle and thorough. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schultz!
11 January 2022 6:34
Do not take new puppies here.
I took my brand new puppy in to get her vaccinations, dewormed, and everything she needed. 7 month down the road they inform me that she was never dewormed.
I had to pay over 300$ for there mistake. My puppy could die if she has worms for all this time.
I told them of there mistake and how I would pay it unless they sent the fecal test right away.
They refused and made me still pay.
I am left waiting the results and they could care less. I cried for there mistakes. The worse part! It’s near Christmas in which she is now not allowed around another dog due to this. Her first Christmas is ruined with her family all because they failed to do there job in the first place.
They gave her flea and tick medication instead of deworming her, made me believe all this time she was dewormed.
Very unprofessional and they do not care for the well being of your dog just payments.
Final point never taking her here again. Not sorry for actually putting the well being of my puppy first unlike they failed to.
17 December 2021 12:32
I have been a customer for years with all my previous and current pets. They are always very professional, kind and take the time with u to explain everything.
15 December 2021 15:13
Clinic is okay, fair prices and vets are very informative (sometimes feels like they are pushing products) But the main reason for my review is to comment on Steven. If you call around other clinics the receptionists sound tired, bored, give lots of sass or unhappy, but, Whenever I call the clinic I always request steven. He’s always ready to help, gives me the answers I need and a pleasure to talk with. You can tell he loves his job and cares about your pets.
If you call here ask for him, you can trust him with your pets needs.
19 October 2021 18:26
Fantastic staff and place to bring your animal who needs the right care. Treat your animal to the best!
28 September 2021 8:04
They charged me some unnecessary things because in my opinion I do not know very well about vet necessities.
25 August 2021 23:42
Excellent staff providing an excellent experience for our first visit. We would definitely recommend to others.they truly care about our pets!
31 July 2021 11:54
Our experience was very disappointing and I do not recommend this vet clinic. People here are not helpful or friendly. Horrible service.especially, with Covid, you would think they would be more helpful and willing to accommodate their clientele. Minus -5

On April 06 2021 I bought medicine for my 16 year old dog Karma, which he needed 2 times daily, which I never used never had the chance{$202.00). On the same day I made an appointment for Karma to get an evaluation on his health, cause I believed he was suffering from dog dementia, crying, whining, barking, standing in corners, going in circles confuse, back in October 2020 he pulled a back leg ligament and could not walk, he was on pain medication. On April 12 2021Karma came to the clinic I told Dr. Forbes the situation of his pulled ligament and the confusion he was having. He evaluated Karma and said he would be fine from the blood tests taken, normally a cotton swab and bandage was placed not this time I wonder? ($479.00) On April 14 Karma was put to sleep at this clinic ($400.00) In the years of 2019-2020 I spent around ($7000.00) for medicine and visits, I had been coming here for the last 16 years, and after all the money I spent here, not even a phone call, or a $1.00 dollar sympathy card, only sympathy came from young Steven. They say they care about your pet, for me they only care about the money, that's why they have a tally sheet after a client pays to keep track. It is a business for profit like any other business, very disappointed, be careful, no compassion in the final journey of your family pet. Then 10 days later after Karma was gone they sent me a poop bag for a sample for his yearly checkup makes you wonder (Money)
27 June 2021 4:52
HORRIBLE! Do not bring your pet here. We brought our new puppy for an initial health examination. Dr. Kendra Goulet failed to review his vaccination log and ended up double vaccinating him, giving him vaccinations he previously received the week before arriving home from Alberta. She was not sincere in her apology at all over the phone (clearly did not have the courage to tell me to my face of her negligent mistake) and said that “mistakes happen”. She then told us we would have to watch him closely for any abnormalities and if any presented we would have to rush him to the nearest animal hospital (she also did not provide any resources). I was bawling and extremely concerned, to which she just seemed extremely annoyed.

She also did not ask for a fecal sample like any new puppy should have. Thank goodness we took him elsewhere because he wound up being positive for Giardia, to which we would have never known had we kept him at Woodbridge Animal Hospital.

If you love your pet, go elsewhere.

Dr. Shultz is the best vet I had in my 30 years of dog ownership. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well.
12 May 2021 3:14
Truly compassionate team that cares about the wellbeing of all their patients. Welcoming and supportive.
14 April 2021 11:42
Great place I highly recommend it! All staff are very nice, the doctor I met was also very nice. They took care of my dog, my dog also liked them! Some tests didn't come through as we'd hoped (was a potential outcome I were told about before hand) and I wasn't charged for those things.
13 April 2021 20:32
Brought my cat MJ in because her belly was very swollen and she was refusing to eat or drink. Dr. Forbes quickly diagnosed a very serious problem and performed emergency surgery. He saved MJ. A very special thanks to Dr. Forbes and all the dedicated support staff at Woodbridge Animal Hospital. MJ is alive and well thanks to all their efforts!
03 April 2021 11:03
Very unhappy with the diagnosis of our dog. This vet had us pay for multiple tests, which ultimately led to a wrong diagnosis of the problem. I don't think they cared about us or our dog at all. Just wanted our money. We have been loyal to this vet for many years (through 3 dogs), but after this experience are changing to someone else.
29 March 2021 5:13
Don’t trust this place, money hungry people running it, if you hate your pet this is the place to bring it, do yourselves a favour and find somewhere else to take your pet to that cares.
28 March 2021 10:39
We have been with Dr Schultz for 13 years with our dog and the last 21 years with our cat. Last evening our cat unfortunately took a turn for the worst. Knowing the clinic was opened and 5 minutes away I called to ask if I could bring her in as she had difficulty breathing. I explained we have been patients of Dr Schultz for the 35 years. The person on the phone told me that Dr. Schultz and Dr. Forbes were not working but she would ask the female doctor if it would be ok to bring her in. We were very disappointed that the doctor refused to see us knowing that our cat was most probably at the end of her life. We were told we can drive to the Emergency vet in Brampton which is a 45 minute drive or wait for an appointment at 8: 00 am the next morning. I cannot believe that a service that is supposed to help animals refused to see a dedicated family of 35 years when we were in need of help. I am not saying Dr Schultz or Dr Forbes had any responsibility in this as they are great caring doctors. It is just disappointing that we were turned away by the female doctor. Unfortunately our cat Sheba had to be put down an hour later when taken to the Emergency vet.
23 March 2021 16:15
We have been going to this clinic since we had our dog. About 4 years. I was always pretty happy with the service. Everyone is nice. But there have been several times where they messed up my dogs food - who is allergic to chicken. This most recent time which drove me to switch - we ordered the same food as we always do. They told us not to be alarmed because the packaging has changed but they assured me the formula was the same. Well after a day of my dog eating the food, he became very sick and lethargic. We found the old bag and looked at the ingredients and IT IS DIFFERENT. Our dog was having a reaction because we didn't ease in to the new formula. When we took our dog to the vet to ensure everything was ok, they asked US WHY WE CHANGED FOOD? ! We told them the story and explain it was in fact the staff that said the formula was the same. They didn't say sorry and they STILL charged us for the visit when it was THEIR FAULT. Red flags for me. I'm out.

Our dog Splinter who is a 13 years old Shiba Inu came in for Dental surgery on Oct. 15th, 2020 and the level of service provided was beyond outstanding. Our family was incredibly nervous about the surgery and even cancelled a few times, but the staff at the hospital especially Steven put us at ease. The surgery went incredibly well and our dog Splinter is back to himself. Thank you to all the staff at Woodbridge Animal Hospital.

Dr. Shultz is the only vet that I’ve ever felt fully comfortable bringing my pets to (the same goes for my entire family) He’s genuinely in it for the love & well being of animals. NEVER pushes additional tests/meds & has always been so honest with us. When having to visit other vets (emerg or clinics w last minute appointments) it always seems like they recommend all these additional tests/meds just to rack up the bill. My dog goes in for 1 problem & I walk away traumatized bc apparently she now has 10. When I’m able to see Dr Shultz about it, he always puts my mind at ease & is honest about what the problem actually is. I don’t look forward to the day he fully retires lol.
16 November 2020 11:35
Everyone is extremely friendly and caring. Very professional, nice and clean place. Was there with my sick cat Chloe ️
26 October 2020 10:03
It's rare to find a vet you like with good receptionists. You either get one or the other, but here there's nothing you can be upset about, great service from the entire staff and my kitty wasn't even stressed or upset with me afterwords!
03 August 2020 18:06
I did have a 5 star rating in the past, for another dog and current one for shots and such. Today; I called at 8a - first one to call, let them know I had a sick dog who hasen't eaten or drank in 1-2 days.he's lethargic and vomiting. They said they'd squeeze me in - in the afternoon and call me if otherwise (because, sounds serious) I call at noon to confirm an exact time and they said they could not take me in and to call the emergency vet. THANKS ALOT! I would of called another vet or emerg.asap if I was told they could not take me in. Also, the call sounded as if they did not book me in the afternoon, like I was told. Kinda irresponsible, if you ask me.
21 June 2020 7:52
During this challenging time of the covid 19 pandemic. Our 13 year old jackpug had a torn ligament in her knee. Dr. Forbes was wonderful and operated on her 2 weeks ago. She has bounced back remarkably. I am very greatful for the great care she received. Thanks ️

Last month I lost my fur baby, Digger. It was completely unexpected as I didn’t know how sick he was. I’m sure anyone who has lost an animal that was sick will say they played it off and although acting different, they would still show love and affection.
The staff at Woodbridge Animal Hospital were so kind and I know they did everything but unfortunately, nothing could be done.
I had Digger cremated and his paw print done as well, which they did an incredible job of and providing these services.
Today, I received a lovely card in the mail signed by the staff. I have never felt so comforted. This was his first and sadly last visit to this animal hospital and they made us feel like family.

Thank you to everyone for all of your comfort and support. It means so, so much after losing my baby after 10 years of loving him.

Great staff, great vets, honest, professional and trustworthy. They also charge very fair prices.
29 November 2019 9:55
Very impressed with the professionalism at this Animal clinic.the nurses truly put 100% caring for their patient's! Thank you.also thank you to the amazing doctors can't say enough.
18 November 2019 12:36
We just started using Woodbridge and so far are very happy with them. We have had one appointment with each of the 3 vets, and they were all excellent with our cat who had an inoperable tumor. They all helped us to keep him comfortable until it was his time to go, answered all of our questions both in person and by phone/email, and in general really helped us to get through a really sad situation.

In particular, we really appreciated when Dr. Musters went above & beyond by consulting with an oncologist right when she got the test results confirming his cancer diagnosis- in case we wanted to know what options we might have for that type of treatment when she broke the bad news to us.

All of the technicians and CSRs were great to deal with as well; very friendly and professional, and very compassionate during his last visit. Thank you so much to all of the staff and vets for your help over the past few months. When our other cat is due for her next checkup, we'll be back.
23 September 2019 1:09
Dr Schultz is the very best vet we have ever met. He is fair, honest, friendly and professional. He doesn't try to gouge you for unnecessary procedures. He only suggests what your pet actually needs. His prices are fair.

He is only seeing patients part time so the schedules aren't as convenient as they used to be but we are willing to sacrifice the inconvenience to seeing him. We also travel from Markham to see him in Woodbridge.

We only see Dr Schultz as we have not had the same experience with the other vet at the clinic.
29 August 2019 18:50
Dr. Shultz and his team are truly amazing. They will go over and beyond to make sure everything is right! When my mother in law dog passed away Alicia made sure we were ok and brought us a book to help us with the cremation of her dog. She was very caring and helped us tremendously with what they offer and how the process is done. I would highly recommend this place as my husband has been a client for over 25 years! I want to thank Dr. Shultz his wife.as well as Alicia and the rest of the team for their hard work and efforts that they give out every single day to US! We drive over 1.5 hour to come to Woodbridge Animal Hospital and its always worth the drive. Thanks so much!

This is my first time at this vet office I was hoping to see Dr. Schultz or Dr. Forbes as I read pleasant reviews about both vets, however I was very unlucky because I was given Dr. Musters. She is the WORST VET YOU WILL EVER ENCOUNTER. First of all after the X-ray she told me that my dog needed a cathera to drain his bladder and it would be painless. I heard my dog screaming at the top of his lungs and she had the nerve to tell me that it was not my dog who was screaming. Earth to the not so smart vet I live with the dog I am aware of his voice. Anyways when he finally came out his butt was covered in poop and swollen as if he had a stick rammed in there. Then the very rude receptionist with short black hair had the nerve to tell me that he had a “crusty butthole” when he came in. When I stood up for my dog and said no this is not how I brought him to you she got a bit afraid and went to the back to inquire or perhaps escape the situation she created and then told me he had a rectal exam done. My first question is why was I not told by the vet that he would be given a rectal exam? And why is your receptionist telling me infront of the other clients that my dog came in with a “crusty butthole” If anyone wants to call my bluff on this I have her recorded saying that to me. I also have the vet recorded to prove that she did not disclose the procedures she would be preforming on my dog, aswell as her not being able to explain why she did not disclose that my dog would be given a rectal exam. After an unsuccessful cathera drainage, unnecessary rectal exam and a lot of pain and suffering for my dog I was given a bill of $600. It’s not even about the money it’s just not the service or treatment you expect entering an animal hospital. This is EXTREMELY unfair and cruel to our dog I’m glad I have recordings and pictures to back this up which I will be sharing. The other witnesses (clients) were sad for us and agreed what these ladies did to us during our 5+ hours there was wrong. It’s a shame that the entire clinic has to suffer for two sour apples the rest of the front girls were nice, I learnt more from the very kind blonde girl than I did from the vet. I really hope someone qualified can provide an explaination for this service because the price tag does not add up.

Terrible vets. Don't really care about healing your pet, they would rather stuff their pockets with money than offer any help
15 August 2019 15:40
My name is Cory and my partner's name is Teri we've been bringing our fur babies to see Dr. Schultz for 20 years now unfortunately our last fur baby Sammy our dog had to leave us April 27th 2019 he was 16 years old he would've been 17 in September Dr. Schultz did everything to help our baby Sammy live a long life unfortunately we can't always help our babies. Dr. Schultz and his staff have been always here for us kind understanding and loving to our fur babies. All of our pets loved Dr. Schultz he had a way with them. Animals know when people are good. We want to Thank Dr. Schultz his wife Robin and they're staff for treating us and our babies for so many years.
Thank you Dr. Schultz for all you have done
Cory and Teri we will miss you and wish you all the best

Love all the staff. Clean facilities and they always tell you want you need to know.
Updating my review. On October 10th, months after I've been keeping my dog comfortable, after being diagnosed with cancer I made the call to put her to sleep as she was getting worse.
I would just like to say Dr. Forbes, Jodi & Tiffany/Ashley were very compassionate never rushing, but always supportive and informative. A very big thank you for making a very difficult time a bit bearable to get through. All around I would 100% recommend Woodbridge Animal hospital for all your family/pet needs

Thanks for the awesome service you guys provided, we really enjoyed the experience and your friendly atmosphere!

Posting on behalf of a friend:

This message is to serve as a warning for anyone whose animal takes a turn for the worst. My dog had been a patient at Woodbridge animal hospital for about a year, he had received shots there and various checkups during my time here. My husband had referred me as he has been taking his dogs here for many years. The best way I can describe Woodbridge animal hospital is that the people here are inhuman. My dog had fallen ill and I took my dog in immediately to see if I could get some help for my poor distressed dog. The staff there were absolutely cold and did not comfort my dog in the slightest. I was told I could wait to see the doctor in between patients but they could not guarantee that I would see the doctor that night. After waiting for a short time my dog seemed to be getting worse by the minute and I had a feeling in my gut that my dog was dying. My poor baby who was only 4 years young and I was told to wait. I was absolutely floored to find out that I was having to wait for the doctor to see a dog with an ear infection while my dog lie dying in my arms. So I made the decision to try and find another vet.
Two days later my poor baby did pass away and I feel as though had dr. Schulz not turned away his own patient that I would still have him here, this to me is a form of malpractice of the worst kind and I caution anyone that if your animal is having an emergency, DO NOT WASTE A SINGLE MOMENT HERE!

This review is long overdue, about a quarter of century to be exact -becauseit is 24 years ago when we came first time to see Dr Schulz with our beloved dog Oska, an Australian Shepherd. It was at the old clinic location, couple of blocks east.
Oska was a three months old puppy and for next fifteen and half years
Dr Schulz was her doctor. He was with her all her life to the very end and words are simply not enough to describe the compassion, care and knowledge she was exposed to. And we were with her.
Then after couple of years after our dog passing away we found ourselves with five rescued pets (four cats and a dog) so the only choice was to go back to our clinic.
Thisis the best clinic ever: they will never abuse your trust, they will never pull your leg (so to speak) and your pet will be well cared for.
This is coming not only from our hearts but is based on over twenty years of experience.
We are also very glad that Dr Forbes came on board (and will probably take over when Dr Schulz will retire) - he made life of our dog Lilka (17 years old blind chihuahua) worth of living again: after dental procedure (14 teeth removed!) she is pain -free, 17 old happy puppy: jumping and bouncing around like there is no tomorrow.
God bless and thank you!
