First visit to Woodchuckers to take a look at speciality tools and grab some practice blocks of wood priced between $0.50 - $1.25 can't go wrong with those prices.
Great selection of quality hand tools for carving, sculpting. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great little store on Morningside just North of Sheppard.

I called regarding my bowl gouges and spoke to them about the ones I have and the issue that I was having. They suggested a different grind and it worked great. They have great quality products and are skilled turners with lots of excellent experience and guidance.

The guys are super friendly and informative. Large selection of wood and equipment for wood turning.

I went to the store 6 years ago as green as the tree in the backyard. The staff at Woodchuckers have been a real help to me. I relay on them for advice and assistance and have never been disappointed. I have bought a lot of my turning equipment from them and even a band saw. I turn pepper mills etc.and buy all my hardware from them. Marc, Peter, Deb and Mike are all top tradespeople and know the woodturning business inside out. The finish I was using is no longer available in Canda. Phoned Deb and she took the time to really get into what I was looking for and recommended that I try a product. The third bottle arrived today! Whether novice or pro this is the place for woodturning.

A ton of wood blanks, from just about every species you could want. Lathe parts and accessories.

Pricing is very competitive with friendly staff who know their products inside and out. I picked up a bandsaw blade and lathe drive center. Got home and looked at the package, both made in Canada! Wow, so refreshing.

They also have a huge selection of Osmo hard wax finishing products. Super easy to apply and great results.

I will be back when I need some new gouges, saw a couple Hamlet's that looked really nice.

Amazing selection and quality materials and tools. Everyone is super friendly and go above and beyond to help you take your projects to another level. 100% recommend. If you turn and you haven't been here, give your head a shake n go check it out. Or if your just getting into turning (as I was) do yourself a huge favour n go yesterday lol. Once again great shop, great tools, wood, staff and the vibe in this place is unbelievably welcoming and non judgemental.

I love this place. Whenever possible I choose to stop in and I never leave without finding something.

I really like these guys, I didn't have big enough milling equipment to build my bench so I was able to buy my cut list straight from them.

Absolutely delightful and helpful staff. They were available to answer my plentiful questions.i felt like a kid in a candy store.

Used to enjoy coming here, I understood the new COVID restrictions before my son & I made the drive from Oshawa. I wanted him to experience the store since his new love for wood turning.
We arrive and one of us has to wait outside, fine, when another customer enters the store I asked what the deal was? And I asked if it matters of we're from the same household, I was met rudely with "I didn't make the rules, you people voted them in". I reluctantly purchased a couple items and left the store. There was 3 people shopping in store and 2 more standing inside at door way!

Good place to get your wood carving supplies, I cannot compare it to other places, but this place has it all. Highly recommend.

Only recently discovered this place. Very glad I did! Woodworkers paradise! Lots of bowl blanks and pen supplies (PSI kits and blanks) not to mention the THREE rooms of various sizes of all kinds of wood! Very reasonable prices. Lots of large live edge pieces. Owners are a riot and worth the trip alone.

A little out of the way in an industrial /commercial area. Two parking spots at front door and more down the side.

Great selection of rough cut lumber. Has just about everything you would need for woodturning. Lathes, sharpening grinders, tools, sandpaper and finishing.

Staff is good, very knowledgeable.

Price is in line with other shops, cheaper than Lee Valley.

Huge selection of pen blanks.

I believe they will dress lumber to order but I'm not sure how much they charge.

Great supply of turning tools and materials. The pen blank selection has to be seen to be believed. Interesting other selections of hardwood boards and slabs. Helpful staff.
