Best wood fire pizza in town! Always amazed by the favour combinations! Authentic dishes every Friday and Saturday that never disappoint! The charred jalapeño sauce is my favourite! Chef Thompson is so kind and welcoming! You cannot go wrong ordering from wooden boat!

The perfect 40th birthday dinner. We had red curry. It felt like that scene in Disney's Ratatouille when the food critic takes a bite and is instantly transported back to his childhood in France, except for me it was my 20s in Bangkok. I hope to make this a regular experience. Also, HIGHLY appreciate the use of recyclable/compostable packaging! I recognise this is pricier than single use plastic stuff. You rock!

I am always able to get a vegetarian option. The food is delicious! Always a go to when I have visitors. Despite being busy most times I visit the staff always makes me feel welcome. I am spoiled to have the Wooden boat in my neighborhood!

I can’t tell you how gooood all the food is here! We keep coming back for more, and are never disappointed. There are always new things to try. Its the delicious food, great service, sustainable packaging, local food, sharing your passion for food, supporting other small businesses, building community…. I always look forward to when the menu for the week is released!

Thompson and his team always go above and beyond! They partner with other local companies, use sustainable resources, are conscious of where and what their food contains. Bringing healthier options to KW and helping the planet at the same time. If that wasn't bomb enough! They create fusions of UNDENIABLY DELICIOUS FOOD! That makes me CRAVE what their next creation will be, before it's even made an idea or hits the plate!

Honestly one of the best restaurants in town! The menu is inventive, creative, and dependably delicious. Ordering through email and e-transfer is easy and our food has always been exactly what we ordered. I love when their menu gets released each week!

Delicious Bahn Mi! The spring rolls were also fresh and tasty! I could eat a million of the mini doughnuts. Both the cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar doughnuts are awesome!

One of the best food establishments in KW easily that has become a weekly staple since I discovered this gem not too long ago. Dishes are exquisite, unique (pizza they offer is also pretty much the best pizza I've had in KW as well too recently) reasonably priced served by the ever friendly and amicable owner.

Wooden Boat is one of our very favourite takeout places, for so many reasons! They care about sustainability and supporting other local businesses, they have AMAZING vegetarian options, and their menu is always creative and exciting. Chef Thompson is so great; you really get the sense that he loves coming up with the dishes and sincerely hopes that you enjoy them. I've never been disappointed by any of our orders, and I literally daydream about the margherita pizza. If you haven't given them a try yet, make it a point to do so. You can't go wrong, and you'll probably find a new fav to add in to your rotation.

Nice stop after biking the Iron Horse trail. Had natural popsicles. Good tasting and refreshing.

We cannot say enough great things about Thompson! We have frequented Wooden Boat over the last year and have always been blown away by the quality of his food, as well as the passion he puts into all of his food and work. So when we needed a caterer for our small backyard wedding, we knew we had to speak with Thompson. Through the whole process (during COVID especially) he was so helpful, fun and caring to work with. Obviously, he blew us away again on our wedding day with the appetizers and meal he served us and our guests. He was so passionate about delivering us the best food, and was such an awesome individual to have involved in our day. Our guests were all raving about his food! If you are looking for a local caterer that will go above and beyond for you, Thompson is your guy! Thanks Thompson, you are truly so talented at what you do!

Recently moved to KW and decided to try takeout from the local restaurant around the corner. Wooden Boat has quickly become a weeknight staple (we just can't resist Thursday night pizzas), but their other entrees are always fresh, delicious, and feature the best local products. Despite being unable to explore the rest of the city, I'm so thankful to have found this new food favorite!

Unreal! Delicious and unique flavors and highest quality ingredients for a great price. Amazing that you are environmentally concious and support local farmers like 5 Chicks and Linton. Great example for other businesses in the area. Will 100% be back for more.

Just got the Fri/Sat takeout special - Southern Thai red chicken curry and it was unbelievable. I had planned to save half of it for leftovers but couldn't resist finishing it. Let's keep this delicious restaurant in DTK - we need more restaurants in this part of town!

We had the pork and chicken banh mi, with the coffee. Super fresh and they were mindful of my wife's nut allergies. It was so good, we went back for dinner the same day.

I visited the Wooden Boat for lunch in mid-October 2018 with a work colleague for lunch and had a great experience. I ordered a vegetarian banh mi and it was delicious! The baguette was soft and fresh and the vegetarian ingredients were flavorful and tasty.

While eating my sandwich I enjoyed looking at some of the cool murals adorning the walls of the restaurant, which featured various pop culture references from the 1980s. Thompson, the owner of the restaurant, also introduced himself during our meal and made us feel at home.
